Batteries, Batteries, Batteries...

Hey guys - a while back I purchased a mech mod and RBA and, of course, had to purchase a battery. I done some homework and decided the Sony VTC4's were the right one for me. Everyone seemed to love them. But my mod arrived several days before the batteries did, so I stopped into a local shop and bought an LG HE2. Once I realized that RBA's weren't for me, I went back to my iTaste and put the mod away forever.
However, I've now started using an Aspire Nautilus and I tried it on my mod and it works great. I am noticing a HUGE different between the LG and Sony batteries. Fresh off the charger, the LG just hits a lot hard, and continues to produce better vapor after extended periods of use. The fully charged Sony is much weaker. After using it a while, I find I have to drag and drag on it to get a satisfying hit.
Can anyone explain to me what it is about the LG that seems to perform so much better? In so many reviews, I hear Sony VCT's over and over, but never hear anyone mention LG batteries. I'm wondering if my Sony isn't just a dud. Anyway, I would love some input.

Thanks

I would have gone back to the seller on the concave top. But beware, there are a lot of fake batteries, mods, devices, coils, etc. On the bay, and even at some shops. You have to do some research on vendors and just try to stay informed. I got a bad batch of coils on the bay once, fortunately the seller gave me a full refund.

I guess now I'm just wondering which batteries should I buy. I've also discovered the LG HE4's, which seem promising.

If you are not going to use your RDA/RTA and build low sub-ohm coils;
If you are not going to buy one of the new sub-ohm tanks and use a 0.2Ω coil

A 20A battery would be fine.

I'll quote @tj99959.

Everyone is free to set their own parameters, and I can only say what mine are.

I try to never exceed 50% of the CDR of a battery. So with your 20a batteries, that would be 10a.
This Ohm's Law Calculator tells me that a .4 ohm build is as low as I would want to use.

The reason that I place a 50% limit is because as a battery ages the mAh of the battery degrades, as the mAh degrades ... so does the batteries c rating. (amp limit) So down the road, your 20a battery may only be a 10a battery.

LG HE2 2500mah 20A (or HE4 also 20A CDR) or Samsung 25R 2500mah 20A would work very well. I have 8 of the Samsung 25r's from RTD Vapor.

Putting aside issues of possible fakes,

Batteries can have much different discarge curves depending on the current you are pulling. Take into consideration thet many of those reviews are based on the assumption of using the battery in a very high drain application, meaning the discharge curve was designed with that in mind.

Lately I have been checking out newer batteries, lg samsung and I cant remember the order coming. But I dont vape at high current, usually around .7 To 1.0 ohms on a mechanical, so far nothing has beaten the discharge of my panasonic pf's, with 2 mods in rotation i easily hit 9- 10 hours before i hit 3.4, but they are not super amp batteries and im sure as you get closer to the limit the very high drain batteries would begin to show their true abilities.

There is also the chance the batteries are duds as well, have too much sag for the build/mod.

What kind of resistance and what mod are they on?
