I seem to recall briefly watching a really terrible "Dance Crew" show, and one "Crew" was named the Fanny packs. They were pretty good. MTV maybe, it sounds like them?? Maybe you could show it to your kids, BackDoc? I'm not saying it was a good show but it was sometime in the 2000's. You could point out their modern, funky appeal.

Now I'm wondering how many folks I saw wandering around with fanny packs with GUNS in them.... Glad I never said anything....

I am CONVINCED the 80's are up next (in terms of retro cool). I mean, even my radio station is mixing in 80s "hits" now.... Thanks to the magic of autotune of late, they really don't help much with my fond memories. News flash (to no one probably) Madonna can't sing. At least, at the start of her career she couldn't and if I hear "Open your heart" or whatever it's called, one more time, IDK what I shall do, or perhaps it is fair to say that the pop genre always sucked, as (news flash to no one probably) J. Bieber can't sing either.... Cellphones are getting BIGGER and BIGGER.

I'm gonna be cutting all the shoulderpads out of my jackets soon, I'm absolutely convinced of it. Well, I kid. I get my bellbottom jeans where I can find them, and remain comfortable with my chosen era, the 60s. To be fair in the 80s I WAS cutting shoulder pads out of everything, they just aren't a good look (again, my opinion only).

To bring it back on topic, I could see replacing a shoulder PAD with a shoulder pouch. You can store your batteries in THAT. Or, you know, whatever else....

I'm old. I do drugs (prescription). For my 26650's I went to the drug store and asked to buy a couple of "right sized" pill bottles. They gave them to me for free and now pack my regular prescriptions in that size bottle as well. Oh, and snagged another size one for a 20700 while I was at it. No good excuse to become another underwear bomber. Having said all that, I would have loved to see the rocket plume from the purse. Priceless!!!!

Fanny Packs out of style???, no wonder ive been getting funny looks lately:)......a few years ago one of my children informed me of the demise of the "fanny pack'( and the implication one gives when wearing one), a shame because they were extremely functional..........i carried a Glock in mine ( and cigarettes )when i did not feel like a holster during the summer

I love my manly, black leather fanny pack.
It is perfect for my phone, wallet and a spare puffer (Pico/CalixV3).
My wife sez I look like an undercover "alphabet" agent. (FBI/CIA/DEA)

IMO: Style is for those who care what others think.

Fly your freak flag proud!

Cheers

I wouldn't have loved to see it, but like many women, I carry half of my life in one! Think about what needed replacing: DL for one, and for awhile there, I was carrying around my green card which is not an easily replaceable item, but someone in AZ got a wild hair up their rear end about having all routine traffic stops verify their "status" as it were, so for a long time I was carrying THAT around, and well, bank card, credit card, etc. It's never a good thing when a purse goes up in flames.

This is why I keep a black hole inside my purse... I'm sure the mod would not have caused too much damage, plenty of room in there.... But generally, I am not a fan of explosions. My kid was a total pyro (I mean, he didn't burn stuff down) but he was entirely to interested in open flames in my opinion.... There was many a day where I had to "supervise" his blow torch and solder "art activities." Yep, that's what he called them. If I need him to shut up for a while, I just suggest a fire, in either the fire pit or fireplace and he goes on silent, entranced mode for a good chunk of time. At home fireworks though, yeah, I really HATED those, even though I would be a "good" mom and get him some at each holiday....

Cases? We done need no stinkin' cases!

I carry my spare batteries in another mod! 3.5 years and I still can't get past the possibility a mod craps out while miles from home. And I am so rural, if I go anywhere at all, it is miles from home!

But I do have and use protective cases for storage of spare batteries at home.

Two zip lock snack bags work in a pinch. One cell goes in one bag. The other in the other. Put one bag in the other and good to go.
Just don't use'em over and over.

I use the snack plastic bags for spent batteries that I put in another thick plastic container for all the batteries before I take them to recycle place. Do have a question though about what to do with the battery mods when no longer working. What do you all do with them? I do have battery cases for almost every battery you can buy including AAA and AA .....B .........C etc some are just plastic and one is a material one with a zipper that holds three 18650s. My iTaste MVP I use for a battery backup for my cell phone which is handy. I have the 6 W and the 20 W iTaste MVP ... the 20W iTaste goes in my travel bag ........in with all my stuff that I take around with me on my power wheel chair. I still have some ego twists working but my primary battery mods are iStick TC40W now these are all still working but not sure what to do with them when they are no longer working. Not sure if recycle place will take them.vape case 2 small.jpg mods 2.jpg

I was thinking about dumping them off at our Target or HomeDepot battery bins.

Though, for the time being, they sit in a drawer.

Our county also has a quarterly household hazmat turn in at the landfill.

It would be nice if we had more options to what we do with our mods when no longer working. Vape shops or the companies that make them should be coming up with disposal methods or this will become another big story anti vaping news.

One time, I just handed my dead eGo back to my vendor when I went to buy a new one.

Though, I'm not sure he knew what to do with it.
