Oh thanks Steph! What a thorough, helpful and totally informative post! I was hoping for something spinner size or smaller... even the spinner feels big to me still. The eroll is probably more my speed. It's sleek, its tiny, monochromatic... Very cute. But then I compare its specs to my eversmokes and mine might actually be better.... 4.2v output and 280mahs vs erolls 3.7v 90mah. So I'd probably be better off just getting a PCC. I really do like the looks of it though, and aesthetics are important to me. I'm considering the vamo for my at home device, maybe. I can only imagine what my kids will have to say about it. My 12 yr old already pokes fun at the spinner, calling it, "mom's (illicit substance we can't discuss here) pipe" lol. She is funny :)

You're so welcome LOL! I usually use my Vamo at home, but yesterday I took it with me to physical therapy. I was standing outside vaping on my Vamo and a nurse walked by and I was feeling quite self concious about the VAmo, but she stopped and asked me if it was helping me (she knew what it was without asking! LOL) and I told her about how I haven't smoked in 33 days..blah blah blah and she was excited about it. Never commented on it being huge etc...

I vape on it when I go to check my mail, usually there's people hanging out in and around the mail box area. Here I am with what I think is this huge space age weird :censored: looking contraption, omg what will they think, etc!! Know what happens?? They ask me if they can bum a cigarette from me!!!!

Helloooo??!! I'm not a smoker anymore, don't have any cigs, sorry, and they look at me in disbelief still!! LOL I've vaped with the Vamo in front of firemen, police, nurses, EMT ambulance people and nothing happens....It's like it's cloaked or invisible, nah just kidding, but you get the point I hope. :D

I guess the VAMO in shorty is a tad longer than a 650 mAh Twist. In the right is a 1000 mAh Twist.

Edited my original post to label everything in the picture, forgive me, I'm having a brain fog kind of day, thanks. ;)
ETA: Left to right pictured: SMOK Tech 900mah designer battery, 1300mah Vision Spinner, Mascara, a quarter, the VAMO, and a $5 bill.

RIP to SharonMM's purple spinner :(

Like AttyPops said, you don't NEED another device, but you do need a backup.

My spinner is my backup to my beloved VAMO  it's one with the swappable battery feature, I wouldn't call it "petite" though, but anyways, the Vamo may appear larger in pics than it is in real life.

I love my Vamo, I was surprised when I got it because the pics online made it seem SO much bigger than it really was. I took some pics one day in an attempt to help people see it's true size so they can decide if they want it or not. The Vamo can be used in a couple of different lengths, depending on whether you use a short 18350 battery or a longer 18650.

First picture shows the Vamo in 18650 mode with some common everyday things for size comparison, including some loreal mascara and my pink 1300mah Vision Spinner.

Here it is in shorter mode with the 18350 battery.

Ok lol... So I'm reading about this Vamo a little bit...

Can someone explain to me why a vamo is priced as low as 40 and a provari is like 180? Is it because it was assembled and packaged in the US that we see this giant markup, or am I missing something? The specs look pretty close..

The VAMO is made in China, which is why the price is so much lower. It's a solid, well-made device that has been working great for months for me. They both do the same thing, power your juice delivery system with the ability to adjust that power. The Provari is US made, will provide a better warranty, and from what I hear, a more solidly built device.

Based on personal preferences and available spending money, people will prefer one or the other. Both are often recommended mods.

Yes I see they are recommended quite often. I'm just sort of shocked that the American company is demanding nearly 5 times over what the Chinese are asking. And its not a superior device. Same specs same technology. 6 months longer on your warranty but big whoop. For the extra 140 just go buy a few more Vamos lol.

Idk, I appreciate good quality but I need value as well. And if we are comparing bangs for your bucks, I think the Vamo kinda just swept the floor with a provaris .... lol. You'd think these American business guys would know better too. It's capitalism. It's the American way. If you can't make a product at a competitive price, then get out of the game. Well, that's usually the way it goes anyways. Harley Davidson is an exception to the rule, so idk, maybe provaris can beat the rap too. Now I kinda do want to get one to just pass down to my grandkids; just in case it becomes all iconic like that or even the company tanks and it becomes a lost piece of America history.

I do think this is an exciting time for us though. I kinda feel like a pioneer in a way.. look at how much cigarettes and booze have influenced society. And prohibition. Man, I better stop ill ramble on all night.

Anything ecig related made in China will be a lot cheaper than the American counterpart. For some people the American made product fits their needs enough to justify the extra cost. American ejuice is 5 times more expensive (at least) than Chinese ejuice. For my hobby, the much more expensive American juice is worth it; for hardware; meh not quite so much. If I could afford a ProVari though, I'd own one.

Let me also add that as far as I know the Provari does not do Variable wattage.

I find the VW to be something I use far more than the VV. I like being able to swap out juice delivery devices and have the Vamo set the voltage to give me my set wattage no matter what the Ohms of the delivery device. It just means I start somewhere close to my ideal vape with no fiddling.

Other people leave it in VV mode and love it that way. Just a question of how one likes to do things. I am not much for fiddling with things.

Well I can afford one... but how can I justify the cost when I can buy nearly the exact same thing for a fraction? I'm sorry but the patriotism card doesn't sway me, its not 100% made in America anyways.

I'd pay the money, I really would.... But why, lol? I need a good reason or else I just feel like a chump.

Sharon let me share the one thing I REALLY do NOT like about my vamo. I have the stainless Steele one. It is SLIPPERY. Feels like it is slipping out of your hands slippery. I ended up winding a rubber band around it to give me something to grip. Long run I am probably going to put a JWrap on it. Otherwise I love the thing.
