Yep almost 2 weeks into vaping and already looking at a ProVari.

Since I have small girl hands, my natural inclination is to go for the ProVari mini, but I'm wondering, aside from size, is there any discernable difference between the two? Will I be missisng out on anything going for the mini just because it's smaller?

Also, I'm hoping to buy it within the next few months. Is there any talk of any newest model coming to the market that I should be waiting for instead?

I've got a provari I'm using the 18650 battery I know the mini can be used with the 18490 for extended battery life the with of the provari is the same on both the mini and standard so length is the only diffrance

Awesome. Thank you! I don't think battery life will really be an issue for me.

I have both sizes, along with the extension caps for each. I started with the regular size one, and only used 18650 batteries. I never thought I would buy the mini. But summer came along and I got tired of carrying so much stuff, so the mini comes in handy for that. There really isn't a big difference between the two in size, but I like having all options available to me. Just remember if you get the mini, 18350 batteries do not last long (they are 700 mah), so I recommend getting 4 of them (batteries that is). They fit in one of those $1 battery boxes.

I use 18350 for work, 18500 for going out, and 18650 for home.

The Mini takes 18350 batteries, and with the optional extension it'll take 18490 batteries. This extends your vape time by at least double, but only adds about half an inch to it's length. You can also get different aftermarket extensions (Twins, or Tatroe Ring for example) which will allow the mini to take 18650's, which will give you around double vape time again.

We have two Mini's and always use 18490's as we find the 18350's run out too quick. If I were to buy again I probably wouldn't bother with the small batt's. BTW the battery code is also the dimensions, so an 18350 is 18mm wide by 35mm long, an 18490 is 18mm by 49mm, and an 18650 is 18mm by 65mm. So you can see there's only 30mm (about inch and a quarter) difference between the smallest and largest.

The functions of the regular and the mini are the same AFAIK, as long as you're comparing, say, a V2 against a V2 etc.

I'm in the same boat. I purchased a Provari way back in early 2011 (lol), decided the size was the issue, traded it quickly for a REO Grand (no regrets on the REO, still my camping mod).

However, like many, I've purchased many vv and vv/vw mods only to realize that what I wanted I had in the Provari

The Pro mini is probably the route I'll take, with the extension cap for the 18490. The 18350 batts give me enough power. Today, I use my Vamo at work, carry two 18350, and get through the day. In addition, I certainly have had good life with the 18490/18500 in many of my other mods.

As for the 18560....well, it's large! I own an eVic, which I enjoy (a working gadget), but the mod is fragile.

I guess I'm going to be officially back in the fold shortly...however, I've committed to applying a customized wrap on my new Provari (like all my mods), something that speaks to being a Provari user (stay tuned!).

The whole wrap thing makes your PV, whatever it is, so much more personal, not to mention the protection needed if you ever want to sell it.

I've done my 3 favorite sci-fi movies on the my mech/evic/vamo, but for the Provari, well let's just say it's sci-fi but with an appropriate theme for the Provari.

(Possibly dumb) question - is the Mini with the extension cap (18490 configuration) the same length as the regular ProVari with the standard (18490) cap?

The mini is just a tad bit smaller in the 18500 configuration than the regular size in the same configuration. Really that only matters if you have something like Serenity Gear in the size. My mini is slippy, while the full-size is not.
