just chit chat .....

Now for a question......earlier today I was the recipient of some overwhelming, over the top generosity on ECF, and I'm so grateful. Since I don't have a lot of opportunity to PIF...... should I win here......I would like to pass it on. Would it be better for me to just chat a bit but not enter, to give others a better opportunity to win.......or would it be better to play and then PIF the win to someone else if I should be so fortunate and have you redraw?? Whichever is easiest or better for you is fine with me! I really appreciate your caring and knowledge Bruce!!! And Kathi, you're a doll and so helpful!

Thanks Deb! No, keep chatting or entering, we will miss you if you don't. You could do what Count is doing on another contest. If you win, it will be piffed to the next eligible post. For example, if you win, and the next post is Bruce or I, it won't go to us, instead it will go to the first eligible post below that.

How does that sound?

very colorful! I have some regular black ones.
its hard for me to stock a lot of different accessories. I would really like to stock a lot more different things

A vape story?

To this day, I am amazed and thrilled that these little devices have freed me from cigarettes. That after some 16 months, I had a total of 15 seconds of a cig urge. The vape has truly saved my life.

Since smoking from 1973, I had quit many times, mostly a week or so, a few times for over 3 months, once for 18 months. And it was a battle most times, I always wanted a cig, and sometimes talked myself out of one. But soon as I had 1, it would start in vengeance, making up for lost time.

So for the first time since the Nixon Administration, I have no urge to combat!!!!

:)

I'd like to see a kit for builders that includes an ohm meter, a jig, flush cuts, pliers, tweezers, and a pencil torch - all in an easy to tote zippered case or lockable box. Did I miss anything. I see lots of kits... lots... but each kit seems to be just one or two items of being complete. For me, it's too late. I've already piecemealed my kit together and for my USRDA of irony, I store it all in a wooden cigar box. But for the next builder, a one stop shop would be nice.

4. What is your funniest or most interesting vape related story

My most interesting story about vaping is the fact that I have not had a cigarette since June 19, 2013. I was a diehard , and going to die, 2 pack a day smoker. There was nothing you could say or show me to make me give them up. I woke up one morning breathing hard. The wife asked if I was ok. I told her I would be as soon as that dang elephant got off my chest. That afternoon I went and got a ego twist, evod tank, and some juice. That night I smoked the last cigarette in the seond pack of the day. I put away my zippo lighter. I tossed most of the ash trays and washed and put the others away. I have not had a cigarette since. I have made it through my friend and boss's retirement party with 70-80 drunks. I have played several golf scambles, countless days fishing, and a night on Bourbon Street without every having a cigar or cigarette. If this ole dog can learn a new trick (VAPING) then anyone can.

That's a great story RaceGun, and it's really inspiring. Vaping really is the only successful way for a lot of us to ever quit. IMO, in states with those bogus quit smoking call lines, where they subsidize patches, they should instead give you a subsidized ego kit. The success rate would really soar if they did that!

I just wanted to give a little tip about the Subtank, for anyone who gets one.

One of the great things about it, is that when you want to refill, you just unscrew the whole bottom, (no tools needed), and pour your juice in like you do with the Protanks. It's so easy, and you can even pour directly from those almost empty glass bottles to get every drop.

The chimney assembly is what holds the tank together, so once you take the bottom off, the only things holding your tank together are the o rings.

When refilling, be sure to hold it by the metal part, not just the glass, because it can slip off, leaving you holding only the glass part of the tank, with a lapful of juice! Don't ask me how I know this!

Ah, kathi how do you klnow this?:D
Thanks for including me in the group. I keep forgetting there's the other cactus page
haveing such fun here

I've been numbering one or two posts a day and just chatting on my others....does that work?

It exciting and cool to win a contest, but not necessary for my supply of vaping gear. The contests have opened me up to exploring the websites of different vendors, their particular assortments, and finding new ones I like, worthy of ordering from even if a dollar more on one or two items.

what brand did you get joan?
Yes it will need a little steep time but I have vaped it right out of the hole
I would start it out at 5% or 6% and adjust as needed. I was mixing mine into another recipie, cant remember if I did a stand alone on that one. counted bottles of diy juice yesterday and I believe it was about 80 bottles, some I havent touched in 3 or 4 months

2-21

I would like to see the Dovpo mini DT 50.

I bought the FW Toasted Marshmallow. Remember you talking about that one being the one you liked... also the other contains diacetyl. I try to use flavoroings without it or acetoin if I can but if none made or the ones made just don't perform as well, then I will use them. I just try to keep them to a minimum... I know that with the amount in most, diluted as much as they are in the final product that there is very, very little but when you are making a juice that has 5 of the 6 flavorings with them, then it can add up, especially if you vape 30 ml of that juice each week. The biggie was Custard... son's weakness... the flavoring percentage for it is quite high... most call for 10-15% of just the custard flavoring. I do his at 12-12.5% since I always end up doing him 2 different ones. One with a vanilla and one with more caramel notes. Just glad we have the Cap Custard V2...

RG..... my son takes everything apart. Don't remember what he said exactly but think you can find batteries for the MVP. I am thinking he said the ones that came out of an old laptop we had will fit but don't quote me on that. I am also pretty sure that if you look online you will find videos of the innerds of the MVP.

The VTR... always wanted one of those and it never happened. Perhaps a good thing since it would probably be sitting in the drawer with the 2 MVPs that gave way to the Dovpo E Mechs.

I don't have that many juices sitting about, actually almost ran out of stuff to vape without tapping into the kid's or hubby's stash which would have caused a fuss from either of them, yet when I start to make juice, one or both always chime in that they want or need this or that made for them. The last of the Mint Tobac I made earlier this week is gone... did 10 ml., think I will do one of the many mint tobacs in 30 ml even though I have several other tobac juices made. They will keep just fine.

Vape Wizard will work in those recipes in place of the Apple Cider Vinegar too.

I blame Uncle for all these mint tobacco flavors... got this idea to try to find him his perfect mint tobac... in the process, found that I really enjoy many of these so called tobac flavored juices and that to find him his juice will probably be something that will knock me on my keester since I prefer all my juices on the mild (tame) side. Amazing how things work at times.

Third post for the day.
The hardest time I have had is after Thanksgiving dinner. The first Thanbksgiving after I quit smoking I ALMOST gave in and went and got a smoke. The family urged me to resist. Wife said "vape like a fiend". I did. The urge passed. What I do know is keep a small amout of juice one nic level higher and mini Protank to use with it. I'm vaping at 12 mg nic, so my craver killer is at 18mg. If I go lower on nic I'll lower the craver killer level too. It really helped me to keep vaping. You don't have to vape it for very long. Actually I sort of reminds me of the early smoking years and getting that nic rush when you hot boxed a smoke. Hope this might help a newer vaper to keep vaping and not return to the stinkies.

a few hits of 6mg on a nice RDA and you'll get the nic fix you need.

Vaping is the closest thing to a magic pill to stop smoking. For the vast majority of smokers who are lucky enough to have someone to help them get started with good vaping products and advice, it is downright easy!

Great job on quitting Dave! I am amazed and thrilled too...even after all this time, it seems to simple!

You forgot to add, maybe two small spools of Kanthal. Maybe one in 30ga and one in 26 ga, plus a few of pads of Japanese cotton.

I wouldn't care about the pencil torch though. I'm thinking that people advanced enough to use a torch would already have most of what was in the kit, but people just starting would need the kanthal and cotton, but not the torch.
