Nah. You don't need a pipe cleaner, but after setting it aside on a cold day, the first hit when you go back to it can slurp s bit. It's never been a problem... just an observation regarding drip tip lengths and materials. I would think that a delrin tip the same length would not get so cold.

THANKS - Glad to know . . .:D However, I am seriously considering on letting it go along with the 3 Generic rba and a few other Items of Equipment I have that I have never used and probably will not be using any time soon . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Yeah, sorry about that, but I didn't tell many people what was going on. As I didn't want people i knew online to either feel like they had to help, or judge me over stuff they didn't know.

First and Foremost - Fully understand . . . I "HATE" (and I do not use that term lightly) "Pity-Parties" and worse are those who look for them . . . However, as "You" know there is always PM's to let the people who care about "You" know . . . Just Sayin' for future reference . . .

So glad to see you here Uncle. We needed more cactinians. You don't have to set on the porch in the rockin' chair, do what I do and pull up a flour barrel. If the old timers nod off, which they do from time to time, we can always go and play in tick's yard until he wakes up and yells at us.

  Yea Yea Yea - Whatever . . . ;) AND - There is no more playin' in the yard for "Me" anyway, especially since "My" body doesn't work like it use too anymore . . .
8eVczYI.jpg

But honestly, for right now, I am already really involved in a number of threads . . . Maybe in the future, I'll actually come down out of the tree and set a fire under the other old geezers . . .
IEmefTq.jpg

Or, I could be cheap - er, I mean picky - like Count.

Or - How about extremly "Selective" like "Me" . . . Jusat Sayin' . . . ;)

Nuttin to blame ya for yet, but gimme a few.....I'll think of something! :p

Yea Yea Yea - Whatever . . . ;)

A little bird told me that there is going to be an extra special surprise at the end, because you all have been making this such a great contest!

OOO - "Me" likey SPECIAL SURPRISES ! ! !

Now that I have a collection of sorts, I find I am looking at stands. However, I have thus far been disappointed in the offerings. Most look like a block of pine that's been drilled a dozen times and stained. Then there are the exotics that look like someone took an expensive block of wood and drilled a dozen times and lacquered.

Regardless of the material used, I find that the perception is that everyone totes tube mods, eGos, and nary a box mod in sight. Oh, yeah, and you have to have 6 eGos and 6 tube mods to make it look right.

YEP - Very hard to find a good "stand" to hold/display "Stuff" . . . But, Thankfully I came across someone who was one of the first people to sell their creations here on ECF (and many have copied) who made "Me" a customize Oak Wood Stand w/ drawer that he named - "The Uncle" . . . AND - Then a couple of single stands named - "The Nephews" . . . ;)

that doesnt sound right, as you are his wife they should at least give you some information

They honestly should - however the "HIPAA LAW" prevents any patient information being provide over the phone, especially without proper documentation (like a "Patient Surrogacy" declaration) or prof of family relationship in person and only once a patient has been admitted to hospital . . . The only exception is if the Physician knows who "You" are personally and then the Doctor can tell "You" over the phone . . . BTW: has absolutely nothing to do with the Affordable Care Act . . . Just Sayin' . . . :)

Great idea. Are they stable enough to let the tanks stand up on the bottle top for storage and rebuilding? I always put my kayfun deck on a mod to build it so that it is stable, so this could be a good solution.

Yes, they are very stable, my husband bumps the table through out the day and not once has he manged to knock over a tank I have on a pop bottle, but I watch on the hole size closely so they basically screw into them.

My vote for today is still the Kanger subtank colored o-rings, but at a fair price. When a vendor does carry accessories or replacement parts, they are marking them up anywhere from 5-10x their wholesale price. When I find a vendor selling at accessory I am looking for at a fair price, I'll browse that store for other things I need.

I could use some of these too. I'd buy every color available (for a reasonable price) because I plan to add more subtanks to my collection. Right now I'm trying to keep the bottle of juice in front of the subtank it's in so I can remember what's in there, but I'm bad about not doing that.

It's called oldtimers and if you are a younger type person, I feel sorry for ya, because it gets worse as you age.

The worse is when you misplace your vape and after searching the whole house and a couple of acres of land, you find it in your shirt pocket. And you just know that was the first place you patted at the beginning. I sometimes think a little gremlin or something took it and then put it back just to mess with me....
Same with car keys, a certain bottle of juice and of course my mind......

Welcome to my world!!!!!!!

 HEY "YOU" - I resemble that remark . . . :img:

I'm looking at oldtimers designation in the rear view, haha! I'm probably older than most on the forum. Being forgetful and a absent minded has been a life long affliction, however. On the brighter side of things, I often find a bottle of juice that I'd forgotten about in a dark spot that I'd put away for steeping and forgotten. Or if I'm really lucky, some cash in a pocket of jeans I haven't worn in a while :)

YEP - That too . . . Just won't tell Ya' how long I have held on to some Bottles of "E-liquid" for future testing/use . . .

Now on that note: Okay - I need to know how long a bottle of "E-liquid" can actually last before it should really be thrown out . . . Also - How to properly dispose of the liquid . . . THANKS :D

I have probably tried every tank in the market the last 18 months. Last year I switched over to RBA's only because I was tired of crappy coils that didn't last. I am really not into tinkering, and even though I can build coils it's a PITA. The Subtank is the first tank with pre-built coil that comes anywhere near the performance of an RBA. I use light colored clean eLiquids, and these coils are lasting me WEEKS! Unbelievable. I haven't even bothered trying to build a coil for the RBA deck, and all my RBA's have been moved to the back of the cabinet. The Subtank mini is perfect for little mods like the iStick and Beyang.

3. Do you DIY your own juice?
Yes, but only to save money. My ADV was Jameson's Amelia. It's a very realistic tasting strawberry eLiquid. I got tired of paying $25 for 30ml and got into DIY trying to make something as good.

I'd like to get one of these new coil building things and this coil master looks good. Good to know you are liking it. I use very thin 32g wire (because I got a ton of it before I knew that thicker was better) so I hope that these can do a good job with it. When I make my coils for protanks, I try to make a bunch at a time because I know I'll be happy I did later! This would make it easier to do a bulk amount for future use so I'll likely get one.

Anyone use the thin wire on these successfully?

Getting ready to play with the coil master a bit.
One thing about it is they don't mark the parts with the different sizes so no quick way to tell them apart except to pull the bit out of the head. Fixed that by sticking a small piece of painters tape on the ends with the number on it.

I am trying to track sown the Sweet Vanilla and keep running into other flavors that sound good too  Vanilla Southern is a vanilla with caramel notes..... supposedly

I start looking at the different flavors and my head starts thinking about what I can do with it. I really have no vape budget until April or May. Trying to save up to buy Pops something really nice for his 100th birthday next month.

HIPAA is a good thing in one way but a PITA in others. Not sure why they are so restricted when so much of our patient into these days is online and vulnerable to hackers. My idiot Dr here has all info online and sends a link so the patient can view his own info online. I made him take mine off and told him that I would pay for the file folder and printer paper for him to keep a hard copy instead or that I would find another Dr.

ADD:
Uncle, not sure on how long it is good. That probably varies depending on pg/vg ratio, natural or artificial flavors, if been opened, how it has been stored. I know that most flavorings that are labeled with a date generally say use within a year but have heard of people vaping 2 yr old stuff...

Heating will destroy the nicotine so depending on how much, heat it and dump down the sink or just leave out in the sun several days and dump... it will dilute even if you just dump down the sink as it is.

Great minds think alike :):)

I do the same thing with my protanks and iclears! I don't forget to do it because I've gotten used to putting the bottle that I'm using in front of the little box I keep my tanks in, so it has become automatic to leave it by it's tank when I put the tank back or switch to another tank. I remember my old method was to have a little pad of paper next to my juice and tanks and I'd write down which tank had which flavor in it. Now that method got tiresome and I would forget all the time by the end and I'd make mistakes and mix juices all the time when I went to refill.

I can't wait to add a Subtank to the mix. You and basically everyone else seem to love them, so I know they will be good!

b.m. Care to share the recipe?

What are you soaking the vanilla beans in??? Base or whisky?

It's not my recipe,it was originally posted by shroomalistic,he originally had it posted a bit different, but gave me this updated version. This one uses tobacco absolute, but it could be left out and should still be fantastic,as the juice this is a clone of is amazing,i could drink the stuff haha.

8% cap. vanilla custard
3% Tfa french vanilla
4% Tfa caramel original
3% homemade vanilla extract
1%-2% ta mix

If you want to try it as posted,he said to use a 10% tobacco absolute mix,i did 1ml of ta to 10ml of pg to make that part, then added it to the juice at 1%,then i'll adjust if needed.

As for soaking the vanilla beans, everything i seen online said to use some sort of alchohol, but when discussing this recipe,he said he soaked his in pg,so that's what i did as well.I think the alchohol soak i seen mentioned is geared more towards an extract for cooking.Although, after the 8 weeks i will use enough to make this mix,i plan to continue to let the remaining liquid and beans continue to soak, from what i've read, some people are leaving them soak for up to a year to get a really deep vanilla from them.

Not being a great coil builder and having little experience beyond protank coils and an igo L, I am somewhat intimidated by all of the dual and multi coil decks that I see. Almost every new dripper I come across has more than 2 posts. At this point I also would say my preference is for an rda to be designed for single coils, so I'm happy you posted this one. It looks very nice and I could also see my way clear to trying one ;)

Could see my way clear to trying a Magma RDA

I like the idea that it's designed to be able to be used with a single coil (my preference) without modifications.

There's a company that makes a rubber tip that can be wedged into a cartomizer. We've even wedged it into an 808D-1 clearo, but without a metal reinforcing ring at the top, ya got to be real careful not to crack the tank, and it has to be wedged in far enough to reach the chimney or *gurgle.... ewwwww, juice*

I got them for my stepdaughter because she likes to park an auto cigalike in her teeth while she works. I haven't tried it in a regular tank... I'll check when I get home from the show (and if I don't post it, remind me... it's been a looooooooooong weekend).

That would've probably something I would've loved with the cig a likes

Ummm, no you wouldn't.....:) I had felt the same and saw some soft silicon tips on a site, bought one to try, and all I can say is HORRIBLE. They are nothing like a filter tip, the feel is just all wrong.

Best drip tip I've had came with a Vapeonly 3.5ml BCC, it was a flat tip, like what's used on a Have-A-Tampa cigar only a bit thinner, great tip terrible tank.

It was a standard 510 size and I used with a variety of toppers, of course I dropped my mod while it was in a tank and broke it.

Thanks for you opinion on them,,,I don't know why I thought they would be cool but I guess from the first time I tried a little cig-alike that was my biggest complaint........the hard steel against my lips so I figured something soft would do the trick.....so that is what I was looking for but didn't even know they made them. A very kind poster on here showed me what they look like and they are only about $2 so I will probably just try one since they are so cheap...I am not crazy about the metal ones...they are very hard but wouldn't mind trying the glass ones that come with a lot of the new tanks but I think a soft one is in my future but I really do value your opinion....that's how I learn a lot of stuff...so thank you

I was thinking about it also, but I have been following a thread about tension in the coils. If you haven't seen it take a look at this thread, http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/coil-builds/633436-tensioned-micro-coils-next-step.html

Check out drifter's latest video.

4. What is your funniest or most interesting vape related story
Unfortunately, I don't have any funny stories. I am a klutz, though. I use to have problems with tube mods rolling off tables. Now that almost every mod I use is no longer tubular, I still manage to drop my mods and break something. Last week I knocked my Beyang 30W from a 4' table. My floors are stone tiles, and the SS top of the mod bent. That was a first for me. Fortunately, I was able to remove the screws and get the top straightened using a couple needle nose pliers.

b.m. ...... Thanks for posting the recipe. This seems very close to the Vanilla Custard Tobac that so many seemed to go all wibbeley over around Christmas last year.

May have to try this too since I like playing with food. Will try speeding up the vanilla process a bit though with warm PG and then using my ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. If I like the results of the quickie batch, then will do a patient batch too :D It sounds really nice. Patience is just not something I have much of.

A 10% TA mix would be 1ml to 9 ml of the PG but probably close enough to get the desired results.

The one I bought was silicon, but a bit rough, like chewing an old piece of rubber....:(

You did get me to thinking.....(very dangerous...)
I have some 5-minute food grade epoxy silicon in my toolbox. It's normally used to make forms for chocolates and candy.

I tried some around a plastic soda straw with a 3 mL bottle (top and bottom cut off) for the outside diameter, and some epoxy extended to form a pressure fit tip. It hardened fine but the pressure fit was an epic fail, pops right out of my tank.

Trimmed it off with a knife so it was the right length and slipped it over an old standard drip tip, it works and is surprisingly comfortable, but a little deformed by the contour of the derlin tip. Going to have to try it again with it form fitted to the derlin.....updates to follow...:2cool:
