When I used to have a craving for an analog I'd either move up to a higher mg or vape like crazy BUT it's no big deal if you have an analog...always have believed and will continue to believe vaping should be relaxing and stress free. I have a couple of friends that found that after a few months of vaping they needed WTA juice and that seems to have worked for them.

The morning was the hardest for me too. What I did was allow myself to smoke if I wanted to but my only rule was before I would let myself have a smoke I would puff on my PV first, then if I still wanted to smoke, then I smoked. I think I only ended up smoking the first two days. After that, the rest was history.

I made this rule because I found that before I even grabbed my PV I had already convinced myself that it wouldn't satisfy my urges. I thought I needed the full flavor of a real cig. Once I puffed the PV for a minute I started to realize that I was not addicted to cigs, I was addicted to nicotine and my PV was delivering. Once I got past the physiological connection of my cravings and analogs I had no problem giving them up. Which only took a couple of days after smoking 1.5 packs a day for 15 years.

I had this same morning craving until I found "my juice". Once I found the perfect juice for me, I still have that craving in the morning but no longer for my analog but it's now for vaping my juice. To me, the juice and finding your perfect juice is the biggest key even ahead of having a great PV. I'd take my juice and an OK device any day over the best PV and only OK juice.

Yep, Aroma Ejuice is some great stuff. Only problem is a lot of their flavors are only available in 12mg. Could be a supply and demand thing.

How many PVs do you have right now? Any old cig-style batteries you could designate as your 'wake up' bedside device? If yes, just pump it up with a good tobacco flavor and high nic like 36mg.

Agree but what my friends have done is add the WTA to other juices making sure to not dilute it too much working with a higher mg then they vape....equal quantities of 36 mg + 12 mg WTA gives them 24 mg. If needed they can add some flavorless nic juice.

Instead of grabbing an analog, grab your pv.....vape. Problem solved.

Basically that. The thing to remember is that vaping doesn't give you the instant nicotine buzz like cigarettes do. It takes longer, but you'll get that buzz. One of the things I did before I stopped smoking is that, I would wait as long as I could (half hour, an hour) in the morning before I reached for my cigarettes.

That said, Johnson Creek's Silverthorn 18mg + coffee is a pretty awesome way to start the day :)

If you need a cigarette, have a cigarette. I think forcing yourself to not smoke is counter productive when you first start vaping. I never really tried to quit smoking, I just started vaping. And the more I vaped, the less I smoked. One day about a month in, I realized late that afternoon that I hadn't had a cigarette all that day. And I never did, and haven't still.

I totally agree, I never looked at vaping as quitting. But the longer I'm vaping the less I want an analog. Used to be a pack a day smoker, now a pack will last me a week to 2 weeks.

I have to agree. If you feel the Need to smoke, have a smoke. I still have a smoke now and again. The point is sometimes it is better to smoke and relieve the anxiety of not smoking. Over the last month I've found myself having a couple during the work day. When I would start to get the anxiety buildup from abstaining and being around everyone who was. I still dislike the smell of stale smoke on my workmates, and the smokers breath. Much is the social factor and the routine we've become accustomed to.
Where I used to chain smoke on our breaks to get my fill, I only smoke 1 then vape away any further cravings. When I'm home I vape exclusively. The mornings are the worst for me. I've found after a good half hour of vaping my flavor of the day the feeling of missing my morning smoke subsides.
I don't feel guilty from smoking one now n again. Dwelling on it only seems to add to the anxiety of not smoking thus creates a vicious cycle. In a months time I've gone from a nerve wracking feeling of loss, to a feeling of take it or leave it no big deal. Big change from the "OMG! I'm almost out of smokes! Better go get more fast."

It's weird - I have a strong WANT for a cigarette in the morning too, but I wouldn't call it a NEED. I can truly say that I prefer vaping, but that being said I recently got a sample pack of some 24mg cartos and man does that make a difference. I'm kind of "nic loading" with the 24s then switching to 12 or 18 for the rest of the day. Mind you I've only done this for 3 days now but I think it's going to work out for me just fine. Except for the wanting part - I still wake up and think COFFEE and CIGARETTE and not necessarily in that order. Of course it's bound to take a while to change a nearly THIRTY YEAR (omg I'm so OLD) habit - Rome wasn't built in 5 weeks either I guess :)

FWIW I agree with the others that said if you feel like you need one, smoke one. There really isn't a prize for fortitude.
