The Zenesis ZNA, being a collaboration of Evolv and Zenesis, and the DNA30 chipset launch vehicle... is arguably, perhaps the most well conceived, designed, developed, manufactured and supported of all the DNA30 APVs - and IMO... far more attractive than other more typical box/tube offerings.

But hey... that's just an opinion. ;-)

Protovapor XPV - $185 - This is the one I preordered. Love the look of it in all black. It has a microUSB port to recharge. The battery is removeable to replace, but would need to be purchased from the company or resoldered back in. Not a problem IMO.

Hana Modz v3 - $250 - would have been my second choice. Really sexy looking. Current preorders are for red, green, blue, and copper...no black/silver/white/gray for the DNA30s yet.

ZNA30 - $269 - Has had a rocky start, but also a lot of appraisal. Well constructed and well designed mod, but has had a bunch of complaints so far. I have actually seen more bad than good, but I think the reason why is because it is being portrayed as "the perfect device" and not sufficing for some users. Also uses a 18490 (correct me if I'm wrong), and the 18650 extension cap is expensive. YMMV.

Vaporsharp - $169 - Also uses a smaller battery, I think the 18490 as well. Haven't really done any research on this one.

Do a bunch of research on all before making any decisions; you'll definitely have the time to do so.

I was going to go with the Vaporshark, but a Hana popped up in the classies first. Good reviews of it, and a great price point. However, there have been quality and recently a safety concern with them. Time will tell how VS deals with these issues.

Edited to add link. Only safety concern I have heard of so far involving VS, but disturbing until there is a definitive explanation... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?p=12009375

rounding third and heading home...
best bang for the $ is the protovapor xpv- under $200 for the most comfortable, solid, well designed non-tube device. little details like a pocket/belt clip built-in without looking like an afterthought. let's face it, ALL the dna20/30 chips are the same and perform the same- the only difference is the device around them.. pick up an xpv and see if it doesn't sit better than a wider box mod-it is almost like it isn't square shaped.an added bonus is the best customer service i have encountered in the vaping business from a manufacturer. a russian 91 or kayfun look right at home on top of this fine mod- wait a sec, everything does......

edit: did i mention that you can actually purchase this device instead of waiting all the time like some others?

Another vote for the Protovapor XPV. I bought the full size one in late-Nov, and liked it so much I picked up the mini version a couple of weeks later. Very nice design that is easy to carry around, well-built, comfortable to use, and excellent vendor support. Seriously thinking of getting a third one now that the DNA30 version is out.

For the DNA30, there actually is a waiting list now. I am currently giving them feedback via email to help debug their website (customer insight)...things are looking a lot better than other DNA30 mod wait lists though...

sorry, you are right about the dna30 - i just have always bought dna20 and never had a problem. i have no need for the dna30 -way outside the level i will ever want to vape. i am sure when they receive the dna30 stock to the levels they need then their service and timely delivery will be back to their normal stellar performance. just a really nice company to deal with.......

+1 for the zna, I love it. In my opinion, the slickest look on the market, small and elegant. I can't stand box mods really... Again my opinion. Holding a hunk of square metal in your hand seems so 1970 or something. Class it up!!

I think all dna30 devices have had some initial QC issues. I've seen people reporting problems with most of the more popular ones initially. The hana seems to have the fewest number of units out, and the vapor shark is still not out yet I think. Zna is on about 600 units so far, perhaps the most.
