If I'm not mistaken, l rider is the one who developed the lavatube to begin with. How do they fake their own product?

I know someone will attempt to verify it. It's not an expensive mod, and people generally like fiddling with these things.

Alright if volcano was proven wrong, atleast they went and arranged legitimate replacements, right?

Another member actually did get to try a stainless steel version, and he loved it.

I hate to quote you again, but how did you get it to do just the tube and not the kit? I don't see any options on apollo's site, just the full kit.

Well yeah, after they'd been royally embarrassed and made to look like fools, it was all they could do to save face at that point.

But who's to say that Volcano didn't actually know they were fakes in the first place?

I find it very hard to believe that Volcano didn't actually know and instead sold them as "authentic" rather than take an enormous up front loss!! And when they got caught, they probably already prepared for the onslaught of returns and exchanges. But their loss would have far greater had they NOT sold them.....

But Apollo is gonna be BUMMIN' if they get all chrome LT bodies cuz they paid for those units with YOUR MONEY!

Apollo won't get a refund from L-Rider and neither will you because you paid for the manufacturing costs up front....WITHOUT VERIFICATION!!

So if they get stuck....guess what? YOU get stuck!

Those photos you're looking at are NOT stainless steel people, that's CHROME!!

I've yet to see a photo of these "so-called" stainless steel models.....and I've yet to hear it from L-Rider that in fact they're even making them!!

Either way, they introduced the lavatube into the market.

The other member is on the forum, you can go read about him. Whether or not he's a metal expert is beyond us, but I'm assuming you can feel a weight difference.

If Apollo doesn't stand behind their product, why do we get stuck? Are they not supposed to resolve customer issues?

Check the suppliers forum. You can talk to the reps directly there, or on their website if you prefer. Ask any questions you might have and let us know how they answer your concerns.

I think an answer from them might help this situation, because right now it's sitting on the fence.

Seems to me that if Volcano "invented" the Lavatube they would own a US patent on it and I'm pretty sure they would have been the first to introduce them. They were available in Europe before Volcano had them. Sorry to burst your bubble but your "facts" don't add up.

I see Apollo has a 30-day money back guarantee, right? Plus I paid with CC and through paypal, which gives me even more protection so, I’m pretty well covered. Shekinahsgroom I thank you for your concern about this VV slipping out of our hands or us becoming "suckers" and such but its not much money for a mod. I think I can live with the loss if it does happen but I think I’m covered. I myself don’t care if its SS, chrome or copper etc if it looks anything like the photo and works well I’ll be happy. I will just wait and see what I get if anything!

So before you make a sorry & weak attempt at a contradiction of FACTS, I suggest having them before you open your mouth....

It was rather well I found it along the right side of the screen or under recommended accessories dont remember which I stumbeled accross it be accident

Perhaps Apollo designed the new Vtube in SS and thats why Volcano doesnt know about the SS or there not saying as it might cut into there sales until there able to order the SS. Remember when they were the only US vendor handleing the LT.

Wow that chrome and stainless version is making my current lavatube feel somewhat inadequate. Kinda sad watching it run around my desk wsticking post it notes to itself and hiding behind my other pv's ... I wonder if it somehow knows I am considering replacing it.... Oh yeah .. There is also some pics with a Liberty Flights logo running around (empty SS tube).

Guess what? That's not stainless steel, it's chrome plating!

Anybody that has an SS mod in their possession already knows that SS is a machined metal and it won't matter how much you polish it, SS will NOT have a mirror finish......like this Liberty Flights photograph above.

This is what high polished SS tubing looks like:

Why do you think car accessories are made from chrome plating?

Because chrome has a mirror finish....

So if you guys get your "SS VTube" and you can trim your nose hair in the mirror finish and there's no machining markings on it......it ain't Stainless Steel!
