Very cool mod, AMD!! Wow. Might have to look into that. :D
... soo my 2nd airflow screw should be shipped out tomorrow. They said they can only send me 1 AFC grub screw this time, but didn't charge me shipping. Hopefully I get the right screw this time lol

It will be about 3 weeks total until I get to vape my Billow again, since I lost the screw. I was using the nice big Billow drip tip on my old Helios since than, and seemed to have lost both of them. Hopefully I can find them cuz eciggity said they don't have extra drip tips..
I noticed there was a tiny bit of juice left in my Billow so I vaped a few puffs until dry, with NO AFC screws in.. I wonder if I changed my wicking (and tucked it around the airholes), if it wouldn't leak at all - even with no airflow screws even in??
^^ I don't see why not if I wick it good. Don't know why I just now thought of this! :p

Aqua, the afc screws are directly connected to the side airflow channels. So technically if you can manage to wick it just right to where you don't get any excess juice flooded into your deck and down the deck airflow channels, you will not leak!

Give it a whirl bud. I have managed to get the leaking to stop entirely, even when laying on it's side for an extended period of time. So I am also gonna remove the afc grubs to see if it gets rid of the annoying whistle mine gives off.

Either way it is most definitely feasible. Should work just fine. Best of luck to ya, the Billow needs your love! :D

to stop the whistling you have to block the air from passing through from one air hole to the other.. i stuffed a tiny bit of paper towel rolled in a ball in each air hole and it stopped the annoying whistling sound.. just make sure its small enough not to block the airflow up into the chamber.

Just FYI: You could wait for Eciggaty to send you your replacement screws, one at the time free. Or you could purchase 10 of them for $2.86 + shipping HERE M3.0 - 0.5 4.0mm long These are good quality Stainless Steel Grab Screws for Alien Range. What makes it better then Flat Screw Driver ones? In my opinion of course. Is that you can put it on your Alien Range and it will hold the screw (it won't fall down), to wrap Teflon tape around it, for example, unlike Flat Screw Driver but, you have to have that Alien Range handy.

Hobby stores would have a grub screw that would fit. If you have a HobbyTown USA or the likes near you, take your Billow in and find one that fits. I know my 1/8 scale pinion uses a grub that size, and they have all sizes. Also, may as well pick up a set of hex drivers. Basically a screwdriver but with a hex tip. Those pesky allen wrenches are the worst!

I think I might grab those AMD, or do what Ryan said. Thanks for the suggestions guys! Roxy also posted a link about 9 pages back, to some Kayfun screws that would fit. But i'd rather try the hobby shop for the quickest route, or try AMD's link.
... I would've done 1 of those 2 before paying eciggity $2 more for the wrong screws lol, had I known

But I do have experience with those grub screws that attatch to the allen key - I got a Hobo V2 clone by Infinite a couple weeks ago (with my IPV3), and it has the same style grub screws on the posts. And they lock onto the kanthal great.

Thanks guys. :D
I'm going to try re-wicking my Billow today (tucking a decent amount of wick under/back towards the air slots; instead of just trimming them tight against the deck/top of the juice channels & thinning them out) - and hope it doesn't like with NO afc screws lol

Trucker, glad you found a solution for top fill. Keep an eye out for flooding though. If any air can enter the top of the tank through those fill screws you're gonna flood and leak juice all over. Thats why most rtas don't fill through the top.

Just say'n and good luck,

:)cig

Just hold your fingers over the airholes. That's what I do on the Orchid using a top fill cap. Then once its filled and closed, flip it over and let go of the airholes.

I top fill the Erlkonigins without blocking the airholes. The trick on them is to do it in like 4 seconds :)

Good tips on top filling Roxy! What I was getting at is losing vacuum above the liquid during normal use. So if air can leak into the tank above the juice you lose the vacuum that keeps your juice from just running out of the tank. All the tank systems work on that principle.

I've been filling my Tanks that way forever. I would put a Vape-band (wide, thick rubber band) around the base to block the airflow and place a blocked off dummy drip tip. That way the chamber becomes sealed, air tight. And as long as the chamber has some air trapped in it - no liquid could enter in it without much pressure applied to it.

That's how I do my Foggers:

Well, yes, your top fill holes and screws need a perfect seal. If any air is leaking, its going to dump the juice.

Do you mind me asking where did you get a Top Fill cap for your Orchid? I was going to drill mine...

Its for a kayfun, but works on all the Orchids :). $5 on FT. Definitely worth it. I don't have any Kayfuns anymore, but glad I had it, as its perfect for the Orchid, which is a pain to bottom fill.

It has 2 parts. I screw the bottom part snugly to the tank section. Fill as per my previous post. And just barely snug on the top part of it so it comes off easily for refills without accidentally taking the whole top off.

They come in brass, too.

Roxy, I top fill my Orchid my removing the top and holding my fingers over the holes and such. Works great. But with the Billow, sometimes the chimney likes to spin and come with it since it is threaded onto the top cap. Even when I tighten the crap out of the chimey onto the base, it usually will still come loose before it does on the top cap. So it doesn't really work that well like the Orchid does.

Personally, I like the chimney to break loose from the deck when taking the top off. Then I can invert with a full tank of juice and remove the top and chimney, take out the drip tip, and set it down while I change wicks or dry burn. One of the reasons I love the Billow in fact is that threaded top cap to chimney. No more draining a tank to re wick or set new coils or what have ya!
