Glad that you are safe! With all the idiots on the road I worry about peoples' safety. That is why my mod is always close by when I drive, because my road rage at these fools still makes me crave badly from time to time. The road cig was the hardest to give up for me. Whenever I got in my car, the first thing I would do is to grab my lighter and cigs. Finally off the phone with my insurance after being rear-ended earlier this afternoon. No injuries except to my bumper.
What frustrates me is that the idiots usually get away with there insanity, while the decent drivers are the ones who get into a tangle.Glad that you are safe! You have to excuse Soul Man, he has trouble counting past 10 unless he's shoeless![]()

I know! I try to block in the reckless drivers who swerve in and out with millimeters to spare. If there is a car in the lane next to me on the highway, I will match their speed as long as it is reasonable, to keep these fools from cutting people off every other second. Or if it is just a two lane road I will drive the speed limit (I usually drive about 5 MPH over the limit) or slower. Never been one to brake check though, feel like innocent people could be affected in the potential pile-up.What frustrates me is that the idiots usually get away with there insanity, while the decent drivers are the ones who get into a tangle.
The lady who hit me was very nice and apologetic. Her family is not unknown around here (I actually know her indirectly through circles), so I'm not terribly concerned. It was a simple mistake (accidentally taking her foot off the brake while reaching for something that had fallen to the floor while we were stopped at a traffic light). All in all it could have been much worse--both in damage and experience.
Yeah, brake checking is dangerous. I'm a firm believer of the football "run to daylight" strategy: I try to stay out of packs of cars as much as possible. If there is a pack ahead of me, I reduce speed to stay out of it if I can still stay ahead of the one behind me. Conversely, I will try to accelerate out of packs of cars, if necessary. I also try to stay clear of trucks and buses. They can be some of the most dangerous vehicles because their lines of sight are so poor.I know! Hey there Krusty! How you doing?
I often have that problem....Home from work, done with dinner, flopped on the couch. Now if only I wasn't completely brain-dead, I could come up with something interesting to post...sigh...
