The problem is juice getting in the battery.

Juice getting in the battery activates the secret gravity/tilt switch? Good to know.

For the record, I've been super careful about not getting any juice near the batt, I've never had any problem with auto batteries...

Ack, I love the Bloog!! I hope other people are not having this problem, darn Canadian air!

I've been extremely careful as well. I cannot rule out user error, but I have not had a single instance where any visible juice got in the battery and I have had to drain it.

Nawwwww, if one person had an issue with 1 battery, there could be a possibility of juice causing it. But 2 people with 4 batteries doing that all bought from the same place? Something is wrong with them. Leaford already said he'd replace them so I'd take him up on that :)

I took a good working battery and injected some juice into it with a syringe. It replicated the video perfectly, right side up it turns on, upside down it shuts off. When enough juice is inside to create a seal around the battery itself, the juice movement will create pressure fluctuations inside depending on the orientation of the battery.

What makes you think the battery is "killed"? After the experiment, I cleaned the batt and it's working like new again.

Wow really! I just figured it would kill the battery. Glad yours is still working, I guess it depends how quickly you clean it up.
