You showed off a gold case in one of your YouTube videos for broke people, like me - part 5 I think. That was very cool!

My PCC does look 1920's! Now if I could only find a way to look like Humphrey Bogart, then I'm golden.

Running off to read up on Kr8's!

Yup, that's the 510 PCC. They come in lots of fun metallic colors.

The Kr8 ones are more "old school." Which is kind of my thing. I like typewriters and pocket watches too...

My first kit was the Smoke51 Trio. Great out of the box, but the carts are entirely too small, battery life sux, and atomizer burned out in less than a week. Bought replacement attys from Smoke Everywhere...they sent the wrong size. After phone calls they have yet to offer a resolution. Bought the 801 from Awesome Vapor and have been completely satisfied with both the pv and Awesome Vapor's customer service/speed of shipping. So I purchased the eGo from them. Now my 801 is on the shelf in case something on the eGo breaks. I would highly recommend both Awesome Vapor and the eGo, especially if you are a heavy vaper.

How interesting, vintage wrist watches are my thing. The only forum I've ever been to was the Poor Man's Watch Forum. Oh I'm so doing a vintage typewriter video on my YouTube channel. You'll love it! I'm starting to collect them.

:D!

That's so cool. I have an old Royal portable - same model Hemmingway had. I just got it back. I gave it to my ex while I was traveling (we're on good terms, I'm not that dumb), and he's been using it through college, so it has now had many a love letter written on it.

I also have a small collection of straight razors... and an old brass compass, and a lanyard pen in silver, and 2 necklace watches, and lots more. When I have money I'm going to get a backwards-movement pocket watch I've been eyeing.

I'm kind of pathetic...

That Blu shipping "info" stuff never worked for me. I sat there checking the USPS site AND the Blu alternate company that they use for tracking all the way up until the day it arrived. It never updated or even said it was received by the postal service.

I highly recommend you research the product thoroughly to make sure its a right fit for you BEFORE you open and try it.

I have a Royal portable too, how freakin' weird! The love letters ... true, typewriters have a soul, they kind of keep memories. I should be institutionalized. You know about backwards movement watches? Wow.

Must video for you some old Soviet watches beating at 18,000 BPH - Beats per hour (BPH) the number of half swings the balance wheel makes in an hour (i.e. from fully counter clockwise rotation to fully clockwise, or vice versa) - which you almost certainly know how smooth that is.

I make it a point of flaunting my retro-ness to people, especially on YouTube. Same with cars. Wow Cassie. Very interesting.

Blucigs were my first, and to be honest, if it weren't from Grimmgreen, moobyghost, and scott on youtube, I probably would have given up the whole thing completely. Blu was just disgraceful, when I had ordered it there customer service rep was rude and just down right awful, and the vapor production, or lack there of, really got into my skin, but I just made an order from cignot for the janty ego, hope i like that one more :D.

My inner retro geek is going nuts! I actually flirted with building my own pocket watch, but it's hard to find a reverse face.

Superb. You totally top me on the technicality of what I would dare mess with! Build it, they will come.

Well, I also made my own spats. Yes, really. So how hard could it be?

Probably way harder than I think, but, when I decide I'm going to learn to do something, I really beat it to death. So maybe someday...

Cassie I think you might appreciate this, if you're still up.

I slapped the face of this watch on quartz Skagen. The face is actually the dashboard clock from a 1974 Fiat 124 Sports Coupe. It's all metal, terrible to cut ... this was a tough job, to say the least, but rewarding. Special memories in this one for me. My proudest watch moment! lol

Well guys, I'm back. Two full days of vaping and I have yet to touch an analog since I got my blu. With a little trial and error it's been working quite well for me. There are a few things about it that have me wanting to upgrade already though. First and foremost is the battery. One is working great, but the other... Ehhh. It kind of works when it wants to. It won't turn on when I inhale half the time, or it'll cut off midway through a drag. The first night I was driving to work and it wouldn't shut off after a drag. I got it off in time to save the atty, but it spooked me a bit. Like I said though, the other battery is fine, and after a full charge, the problem battery works a bit better and haven't had the problem since. Things I like about the blu:

1. Compact size.
2. Auto battery
3. Nice PCC. Plenty of room for spare carts, spare atty, and spare battery. Plus it charges in my pocket.

The only thing I don't really like about the blu is the erratic battery, poor battery life, and the PCC battery not shutting down after a charge, but just draining the battery instead. If someone could suggest a compact automatic vaporizer that would solve these problems I'm sold. I don't want anything much bigger than an analog because my work requires me to carry a lot of equipment on me, so the smaller the better. Also, anything that actually looks like a analog is a must. I'm finding it's a mental thing with me. The analog look helps me imagine I'm actually smoking one.

Automatic 510 with cartomizers.

1. It is *slightly* wider than a cigarette. But just slightly. The 510 with a cartomizer is over 1cm shorter than it is with an atomizer and a cart - the same length as a regular cig.
2. It does come in automatic. I really would recommend a manual switch... the reliability problems you're having are extremely common with auto's. But if you must have an auto, there are 510 auto's.
3. The PCC is pretty cool, and it shuts off when it's done charging a battery. It will not continue to drain.

Cartomizers also need less filling than do carts. A full cartomizer will last you nearly as long as the battery life. Which is, by the way, not *fantastic,* but it is better than the Blu. I get 2-3 hours out of a 510 battery, and I'm am a medium-heavy vaper.

Maybe look into that.

Yup, about like a camel wide. Although maybe a touch thinner? I can't honestly remember, been so long since I held a cigarette! :D

Wolferizer, while we're on the subject of battery life... if you want cig-sized, you really aren't going to get good battery life. Even the best are 3 hours *at best* for me... and that's if I'm vaping conservatively.

Not everyone vapes as heavily as I do - your mileage may vary - but "cig-sized" and "good battery life" are not compatible, at this point in technological history.

YMMV is right... Once I recieved my Blu I charged both batteries. Once they were full I began using one. I haven't had to charge it yet and it's nearly 12 hours later. Maybe I'm not doing something right...

If it's satisfying you, then you're doing it right!

How long a battery lasts depends on how you use it. I vape a fair bit. This is how batts work out for me on an average day, at least of the ones I've tried...

Kr8 - 4-6 hours
510 - 2-3 hours
Blu - 1 hour
M401 - 1.5-2 hours

There are people who can kill a Kr8 battery in 30 minutes, and people who can make a 510 batt last all day.

But with how I vape, that's how it works out. And if Wolferizer is having battery life issues, chances are he is also using it moderately to heavily, similarly to how I do.

If you vape less, it lasts longer. And as long as it satisfies you, that's great!
