Turns out one of the post offices is open longer today. Sent Jason out to send it back today.

Purple one works like a dream. Trying not to pout/cry , but I know it is not your fault.

I think her GLV had a scratch ,and one of the head caps was DOA..it happens sometimes..I suspect its a bad resistor.

You mentioned that you had a fix for this DOA resistors. (resistors seem to be the weak spot) so are you going to a 5v regulator (I think they would fit in cap)

Correct.
nadda to do with burnt taste. And burnt taste is only some flavors of liquid not all.

I sent one of mine back the same day as you did (9/28) I talked to Jay today and he said mine was ready to go as of this afternoon, so maybe yours is as well
