I take my woodie into the shower with me and vape in the shower every day man
I can sorta kinda understand vaping the shower, I suppose, but why a woodie? Does it float?

my wife gets a little ...... if we're in the middle of doing "stuff" and I take pause to reach over to the nightstand and take a nice big vape
Yours too, eh? :D

Turbo you are the only person I know that showers and vapes at the same time :laugh: Dude you are one of a kind :laugh::laugh:
There are a few others around this place that profess to do that too. I always take a mod with me into the bathroom, but I figure if I need to vape in the shower, I'm probably spending too much time in there. :D

loaded woodies don't float, they sink like a rock, and yeah I have tried it, def don't float

for me, my vape is like my security blanket or something, I can't go anywhere or do anything without having a vape in my hand, weather I vape it or not, I just don't feel secure unless I at least have one vape with me at all times, outside of the house then minimum of 2 :)

Ok considering I do 16 hour ultra long haul flights vapeless I pretty much don't have the urge to vape while I shampoo the little hair I still have left. I do however wholeheartedly salute the ingenuity of the shower vape friendly mod which Turbo perfected. It takes a pretty determined individual to make something like that a reality and one can only admire such ingenuity

Reo Woodvil $175, Chalice $120, blowing clouds underwater ..... priceless

16 hours without nic? Inconceivable. The only way I can tolerate flights over 2 hours is with gum, otherwise the temptation to open over-wing emergency exit and go out there for a smokevape becomes practically irresistible. Even with gum, I will grab a couple of stealth puffs in the lav.

That was one of the best things about owning my own plane way back when; it lacked a "NO SMOKING" sign! :D

<heavy sigh> I think I may need more planning.

Problems:
The design worked on paper, but in person it is way too big. I am going to have to scale it down
The angled button works great ergonomically but adds unnecessary height to the mod
.125 6062 doesn't like to cold bend - it snapped at the 90 degree bend
.125 might be too thick. I had to recess the back to make the tact switches fit and protrude through the front. That worked OK, but now I am concerned the switches will short out on the side of the recess
I still don't know how to mount the screen... I was going to tape it to the back side of the window...but it feels so fraile and light

OK guys...please excuse my whining... my paranoia is in overdrive right now

I think I might take some time away from this to clear my head and:
use .093 5052 instead of .125 6061.

Still freaked out about the screen tho.
any words of wisdom?

16 hours??? not me, I vape right before bed and as soon as I wake up and everything in between.... if I wake at night I'm vaping a hit or 2 then go back to bed. if I can't vape somewhere then I ain't going there, and if I'm not supposed to vape there I'm vaping there anyway :)

I'm actually going to build a stealth vape for college functions and other awkward places that stealth vaping may be really tough. the mod is going to be inside a smallish bottle of diet coke.

I found this really cool 8.5 oz aluminum bottle and as soon as I seen it I knew I wanted to make a mod out of it, been looking for the right "thing" to build into a stealth vape for a while. I want to cut the bottom out of it and make a sleeve for a tube mod to slide in to it from the bottom and then the bottom gets replaced, make a way to fire it while inside the bottle. should be able to really vape anywhere with this

Thanks,

Geo heat it up well with a propane torch and try the bend, it should work. I would say try it on a scrap piece first however

Two considerations when bending aluminum. One is the thicker the material is the larger radius of the bend you need. Two is its less likely to tear if you bend perpendicular to the grain of the metal.

Thanks guys. What I did was mill miters into the back of the material to thin it to about .075. thought that would make it easier to hand bend... it did, but it still cracked at the 90.

I did heat a piece of scrap with a map torch and it bent better but unfortunately it bent at the wrong spot. I think if I heat it and miter it, it should work.
as far as the switches I will make the recesses larger so not to worry about the legs touching the edges...

For the screen... can someone recommend a good window size? Currently using .295 x .750. having never used a DNA before it was a guess...but looking at the screen I thought I would see the display area while the board wasn't powered up...but unfortunately I do not.

Thanks for all the help!!
Geo

Turbo I see where you're going with this but how exactly will you overcome or conceal the clouds you'll be blowing???? :vapor:
I can do essentially zero visible vapor form my usual BF setups if I work at it a bit, and that's using my normal 65-70% VG mix. It's not quite as satisfying as vaping normally, but it's way better than not vaping at all. :D
