I have to pay for some stuff for school, but in a few months I'll probably be getting a 901. From everything I've read it seems those have the most parts floating around and seem to get the most kuudos. I don't doubt other, larger models are superior but I also want to stay small.

The SE stuff is insanely expensive, but I have to already give it credit for being a gateway into vaping. Its true that they are over priced but because we tend to find them in malls alot, I wouldn't be suprised to learn that the only reason some other members who have 901's, screwdrivers, what have you, learned about them after an impulse buy on the SE at the mall. If it wasn't for SE, how many vapers out there would still be killing themselves smoking analogs?

The only thing I wonder about is how they stay profitable? I'm willing to bet that once they try the SE and get into better vapeing with other products and companies, most people don't do much upgrading on the SE. They stop buying carts, they stop buying batteries and atomizers from SE and devote there vaping funds to their new products. Sort of strange that SE can be successful as a company that only gets you into it.

Curing all this stuff is nice, JustJulie, but can your vapor make the FDA disappear? 'Cause that would be really cool and helpful. ;-)

Good one, Treece.:lol: Wish it did.

As for the "disagreement" over advice, well, folks feel passionately about their e-cigs. If things get too heated, though, the discussion should head "outside": http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/outside/

And I agree Julie. But another (otherwise good) thread is not going to disintegrate into a bunch of personal attacks. The topic is great....and the varying opinions have been great too. I just don't want it to turn into the mudslinging....which seems to happen once insults start getting hurled.

I suspect you have one PV and that you have never tried a Dura-C or Titan or Zi Moshi or Screwdriver or any PV with a 1000mAh battery and/or a manual switch, yet you "act" like you are well informed and experienced and attack my advice. WV

As soon as this has anything to do with the discussion I will be happy to address it but in this thread it is just subversion. DW

Lack of experience and your arrogance has everything to do with this thread. It’s a shame that you are so threatened by advice that is different than yours, that you would attack a post when it had nothing to do with you or was written to you. And when intelligent people seek advice on a subject, a person’s experience is important. But you just keep yours a secret, I don’t blame you. WV

Did I attack your advice? No. I have read more threads on this forum than you ever possibly could going back to December of 2008 and yet you think you know how the veteran members think and what they recommended before you ever heard the word "e-cig". Again, quite arrogant. WV

Actually because I HAVE BEEN reading the forum I have seen what the real veteran members think of you. IMHO it is not very flattering. I do not hold that against you though. I have been you on many forums. The guy that is all technical knowledge with a piss poor demeanor and attitude that everythingI say MUST be right. DW

It is very easy to make comments about other’s opinions that are false and highlight them with capitals and underlines. That sure doesn’t make them the truth. Just hot air. The members that have been here much longer than you have sent me enough PM’s as well as public messages that prove you are wrong. But I do agree that there are always a few insecure people like yourself in every group that has to strike out at others in an attempt to seemingly mark their territory. Quite sad. WV
Y
ou also will not address the valid point that dripping on the atomizer as you recommend has casued premature battery failure for many users as reported on this forum. Is that because you are too arrogant to think you might not know the facts or just that you aren't as informed as you think you are? WV

Actually I think you are exaggerating a great deal. This is something I pointed out before. Because I HAVE BEEN reading the forum I know that it is not a rampant problem like you are making it out to be. prove me wrong and find me three posts from people with dead RN4081 batteries from dripping and I will admit to being wrong on this one. DW

Another example of your misrepresentation of my original post. And you are being quite generous with yourself when you use the words “I think”. Reading the forum for less than a month, do you think you might have missed the posts about the problems with dripping and hurting the battery? Here’s just one from a veteran:

“ARP--Because you drip, the e-liquid drips down into the battery from the atomizer and gets into the housing of the pressue switch causing it to stick on--Blow and suck on the battery hole and also wack the battery down thread end onto a table hard all in an effort to clear the sticky switch---This will continue to happen until you give up dripping--that is the only way to stop ruining your equipment---Sun” WV

And in addition I never said it was “rampant” but that it does happen. WV

As far as incomplete advice, I suppose I could write a 10 page report on all things PV but I don't think SmokeyJoe would like that too much. And there isn't one point in my post that has not been made by others on this forum way before you joined and supports my own experiences. WV

It is such a shame you have zero understanding of context. In a discussion with other experienced vapers it would be totally appropriate to impart elaborate devices like the screwdriver or the GG but in a discussion with someone who has no real experience it is not exactly appropriate and will only serve to confuse the OP, the situation and the ability to get the OP the information that could help their current situation.

Why would someone even bother to listen to advice on how to improve their experience if they believe you when you say they will not be able to get throat hit without a manual switch device? A statement that is absolutely, and without ANY doubt 100% wrong. DW

WOW, now you are the forum “appropriate” police! How arrogant that all “advice” posts be cleared through you. And it is quite ‘demeaning” to others and the OP that you think they are not intelligent enough to understand the advice I was providing. And on the throat hit question, since you have no experience with a manual switch or larger batteries you have no clue what the difference is but you still think you know what your are writing about. Try reading the mod forum if it’s not too technical for you and try to teach yourself what works better. WV

You also stated that the purchase prices I quoted were twice what the OP would be paying. For a 901 which I recommended, the range I provided was $49.95-$69.95. Please tell us all just one supplier that have 901's for $25 without buying in bulk? WV

RuyanDirect oh great reader of others. Amazing how you are reading so much more than me and have been around so much longer but I somehow managed to find that one. Absolutely remarkable I tell you. DW

Yep, you got me. There is one supplier out of the 30-40 on this forum that sells a 901 for $29. I wonder why that is??? WV

Explaining the difference between PG & VG is more than most new users want to know in an initial post but I have explained it many times in follow-up posts. Interesting, I noticed you didn't mention it in your post either but you threw it in my face. More arrogance. WV

Actually I did mention it in my post. see point #6? Well Spikey explains about liquids in her video. The problem here is I actually watched her video because I am actually taking in information here. You on the other hand can not be bothered with what anybody else has to say because you have convinced yourself you already know everything.

And you think you can talk about arrogance you obtuse D-bag? DW

Again you are making false comments because I guess that is just the type of person you are. I have watched Spikey’s video and before you did. I sent her a message on how good it was and a great addition to the forum. And then the use of name calling- always the mark of such high intelligence. WV

On the strength of the liquid I gave the OP my experience and stated that clearly and that you can't increase the nic strength but you can decrease it easily. Again, giving the OP options. How that is bad, wrong or incomplete advice, I would love to know. WV

Because to much information to quickly is a deterent to the general public. If you really think someone who's only experience with E-cigs is a trip to the mall is ready to start mixing or cutting liquids I think you are completely detached from the real world that the rest of us live in. DW

First I don’t give enough information, then I give too much information. Your consistency is underwhelming. I and many others have stated they started mixing within a week or two. Not everyone is as afraid of new challenges as you are. WV

Oh, wait, you dont' want to provide enough information or answer specific questions or provide information about how experienced you are do you. WV

You are right, I have no interest whatsoever in 'prooving my credentials'. The fact of the matter is my 'credentials' are inconsequential if the things I am saying are correct. DW

The things you are saying are your opinion, nothing else. The same as mine. And I never attacked you for your opinion. But an opinion based on more knowledge and experience in most cases is more valuable. (just keep hiding your experience, that’s probably a good idea.) WV

Here's mine and it's not nearly as vast as many but definitely much more than you: I've used an 801, 901, 401, Kissbox, peewee, pipe and screwdriver. I used 10 different suppliers; tried 22 different flavors of liquid; tried 7 different strengths of liquid; made my own liquid using PG and VG and tried 4 different suppliers of flavorings. WV

I hope it makes you feel good to say all that but it makes virtually no difference if you are unable to relate to a beginner DW

I guess those positive comments I have received on this same advice from beginners must just be members joking or something. WV

You know, it is a shame. You are obviously an intelligent guy and you write well ut you seem to impair yourself with an unrealistic expectation that any old newbie is ready for the advanced course and has a small fortune to lay out on vaping equipment. DW

I provided 4 different devices to the OP and two of those are the most popular ones on this forum, the 901 and 801. And you assuming what is a “small fortune” for someone you don’t even know is presumptuous. Who thinks they “know it all, again” WV

You need to understand that not everybody is you. Not everybody is looking for the same thing and your advice, might be perfect for you but for a newbie it is generally bad advice. You do not seem to have the ability to understand that advanced advice does not belong in the beginner section. DW

Funny I don’t remember stating to the OP that my post was the PV bible. I did give him/her much more credit than you did and knew he would take what fit for him and forget the rest. I guess you view yourself so much more intelligent than the rest of us that is why you want everyone to “dumb down” their advice. WV

At the end of the day, I have the exact same device as the OP and I have advice to offer to help improve the OP's experience. You have a well rounded knowledge of PV's in general but do not seem to have any advice for the OP on how to improve their situation other then suggesting the go back to square one, start over and spend a bunch of money. DW

I FINALLY figured out why you attacked my post and me even though it had nothing to do with you! You have the same PV and because I mentioned that I had seen others not happy with the device, you took that as an attack on your choice of PV’s. And due to your great insecurity, you lashed out. Dude, you need some serious counseling! WV

Now REALLY, how much sense does your advice make to give to someone who just spent a few HUNDRED dollars on something they are not satisfied with?

If you are not at least STARTING to get the picture here i am at a complete loss on how to explain it to you. You really need to take your head out of that bubble and actually consider the other persons perspective before you speak.

And one last thing...
Challenging others experience level is a very juvinile tactic. I am quite sure you would not appreciate it very much if I tried to imply you are unqualified to speak to me because this is your first forum so you obviously do not know how to condust yourself on one but I have been utilizing web based forums for around a decade. Seriously, you don't even have a full page of google results behind your name. Who the *****do you think you are? DW

Let’s see, I’m supposed to be juvenile but your last sentence says “Who the *****” (expletive). Man, you really do need to get some help. Going after others who said nothing to you just because they stated they had seen others have problems with a product you bought, demonstrates someone who has issues. WV

I agree with you.

Im ...... that i was ripped off by SE but at the same time im thankful to them that they introduced the concept of e-cigs to me.

I mean i can get the same model from puresmoker at half the price or one third of the price depending on which SE package you bought and how much the rep charged you for it. Luckily i bought the 100 dollar package instead of the 150 one.

I reckon that SE stay profitable because ONE sale already gives them a tremendous profit. Fact is that they do not need their costumers to return to buy more to make money. All they have to do is sucker new costumers into buying their products to stay profitable. I mean how many suckers are there in the mall.....i was one of them :p

Ps. On another thought...SE do have to pay for mall space, reps, packaging and other miscellaneous stuff. So maybe they DO have to mark up their products that much to even make a profit and i think im being unfair to compare them to online retailers. That said i still condone their costumer service which is basically nonexistant. Also their packaging seems of very high quality...even their carrying bags are really nice.....give it a simpler package and mark down the price.....

Thats true. I'm a security guard at a mall that carries them 9I work overnight, so I ordered mine online because I don't want to come here when I'm not working.) and our kiosk pay like 1,500 a month for space. And thats just kiosk space.

The boxes are elaborate. See the problem I am seeing is that they will stay profitable until the future I predict comes to fruition. Yes right now we are struggling with legalization but i have a very optamisitc outlook. I see tobacco eventually getting banned and everyone will be using e-cigs which will be legal, but nicotine will likely be taxed.

At that point there will be more producers, way more suppliers. People who don't research will still know what their options are. SE will change their business practices, or they will perish. The prophecy has been written.

You win, I am not going to get sucked further into a flame war.

If the OP wants to see performance improve with what they have spent a few hundred dollars on the OP can listen to me.

If the OP wants to throw out what they spent a few hundred dollars on and spend more money then the OP can listen to you.

And here are my credentials...

Wow, your true colors really come out.

"If the OP wants to see performance improve....listen to me." but if they want to (implied) waste money, listen to the other guy.

Yeah, that's how to give advice and relate to the other guy. Reminds me of the kid who takes his ball and goes home if he can't be the QB on the team. Really sad.

PS: vaping your one and only PV doesn't say much about your credentials.

I saw your vid and i should not call that "good" vapor, that is "decent" vapor...and thats you sucking on the thing very hard lol.

If you do a prepuff you can get a little more vapor out of it.

The 901 will get you much more vapor than that guaranteed. Im mentioning the 901 because you compared it to the 901.

Although i understand that you want the OP to give the SE Gold a chance since he has already spent the money for it, i think it was uncalled for to attack Wv2win for his advice.

I also think the OP should give the SE Gold a chance, but if it still doesnt work for him, then he can follow WV2win's advice or someone else's advice (that is the OP's decision)

Bottom line is that forums are for that. The OP asked for advice and he not only wants to see one persons point of view, he wants to see many other points of views too.

Not to mention the vapor from the Gold might be enough. I'm not trying to fake experince, all my experince right now is trying a few drags off my roomates Gold (I discovered the freakin' things and he went out and bought one before I did) and the vapor was plenty for me.

Sometimes when I see people talking about getting more vapor I think 'geez, its not crack guys...' but to each his own. There is such a thing as to much.

Smoking analogs still while I wait for my PV to come in the mail, my roomamte used to smoke nothing but pall malls and I'd bum one occasionally but thats just way to much smoke for me, same thing with camel wides. Some people might prefer a lower vapor count.

Here is a post from SANJP on the Smoke Everywhere that I thought was amusing:

I saw these guys in a shopping mall (Smoke Everywhere) in Vegas just last week

They approached me and asked if I smoked and boy was I ready for them !

I walked with the pushy sales guy to his stall and he proceeded to show me this wonderfull new device that you could smoke anywhere (it was a first gen rebranded super mini btw )

I just casually waited for him to stop his sales pitch and after 5 miniutes of him going on and on he puffed a little whisp out of his rubbish mini

at that point he was waiting for me to say WOW but instead

I casually pulled out my Screwdriver !

His Jaw just dropped !!!

I then proceeded to puff a huge cloud of vapour in his face !

by now all his collegues had rushed over

and couldn't believe what I had .

I gave the sales guy the screwdriver (loaded with 36mg Wicked ) and
said "now this is a real E Cig try It"

He took a 5 second puff and I almost fell over laughing when he nearly literally coughed his lungs out on the floor

anyway all 4 sales guys where speechless

I said when you start doing real e cigs you may sell a lot more.

and Casually walked off with the biggest smurk on my face ..

I know this story may not help you but hopefully it makes you feel a bit better that someone really did put them to shame !!

Here is the thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/3514-smoking-everywhere.html

Can't tell whether OP has been back to this thread or not...hasn't posted anything if they have. Maybe dw and wv's pissin match didn't make too good a first impression? Just my opinion...

I agree and apologize. I should have just let it go but sometimes my bad side gets the better of me.

The good news is as you are both vapors you and dumwaldo will be able to argue years longer than you might have if you were analog smokers. Breath the fresh vapor air! AHHH! See how much more productive your lives are now?

on a more serious note mgriffith i also purchased an SE e-cig. i puffed and puffed on it for 3 days and was not getting much out of it. i then burned on the internet and found this site.

1. primer puff = mandatory.
2. after reading a lot of posts i decided to take mine back up to the guy and showed him my receipt and the fact that my e cig was not working properly.

the guy at the mall gave me a whole new unit that works MUCH better..

i think it has something to do with it being a "Gold" version as the one i bought was just a plain one.. dunno.
