Have to say, in spite of the glitch with mine, esauce is a great vendor!! Highly recommended. Alex has been on line with me trying to solve this problem up until a few mins ago (its 1 in the morning here btw)...really spectacular customer service.

@TheotherSteveS you think you can give me the step by step process for the escribe on the mac?

Hi there,

happy to do that. I will make a separate thread for this maybe where the mac boys/gorls can post updates/thought etc. I doubt my method is the best!!

Stay tuned..

I inquired with GV and they said that esauce builds their own units. So from that I'd reasonably assume that GV wouldn't be involved in testing a Boxer from esauce either.

They also noted that if the wiring is not set up correctly, the 133W configuration won't work correctly regardless of the settings in escribe.

Here is Evolv's dna 133 Wiring Instructions:
"To use 2s mode, you have to make taps from the battery as usual, but because there is no third cell, the tap connection labelled 3 must be connected directly to the tap connection labelled 2. This can be done in the wire harness or by jumpering the connections directly on the board. This is the ONLY way that 2s batteries will work and balance correctly.

Other than that, it is just a matter of selecting 2 cell rather than 3 cell in the battery section."

2s 18650 discussion - DNA 200 Early Adopters Forum

If set up correctly, cell 1 and cell 2 will display the voltages of battery 1 and 2 in escribe and cell 3 should display .1V or less (otherwise, the chip assumes you're in 3S mode regardless of escribe settings and one gets "check battery" because cell 3 is an invalid voltage). If that's not what is shown in device monitor, than the wiring is probably incorrect.
You are correct. 2 and 3 needs to be bridged. One important thing is that 1 and two need to go to the correct battery or the chip will start up without a battery icon. It will not fire either. Port 1 needs to go to the + side of the battery that has the negative contact to the board. Port two needs to go to the + side of the battery that has the positive side going to the board.

does the boxer 133 have pass thru charging??

Not true pass-through. Yes, you can vape with the USB cord plugged in. It will cut the charging and fire using the batteries. Then automatically restart charging after your vape. But it will not continuously charge while vaping nor will it fire with just the cable plugged in and no batteries inserted.

I hope it's usps not scanning the package. I have to live vicariously thru ppl in this thread til I get a dna boxer myself. [emoji23][emoji23]

Looks like you'll be able to live through two more of us vicariously as I too am receiving mine on Wednesday as per USPS's estimate which I've found to be pretty reliable.

It's here! I just got it hooked up to Escribe and I'm working in the screens. First impressions:

It is very light. Not a bad thing, but surprising considering the LiPo inside.

Fits my hand well. I take an XL glove. The back is a little wide but manageable.

Amazing vape! I am coming from an SXK Flask (60w) and the power, consistency, and warm up time are all a huge step beyond what I have now. It powers instantly, no wait. I tried 200w
preheat and I am now at 50w!

It is very short. I have a Zero Clone as well and it is the same height, just twice as wide in the back tapering to the same width in the front.

I got black and I love the color and material. Feels slightly rough in the hands.

Going from the SXK firmware to DNA200 I dropped the temp by 40 degrees for the same vape.

I am going to play with it some more but my biggest worry was it would be too square. I chose the LiPo for this reason as I did not like the profile of the dual 18650 mod. Now if we could get the insert and sled to fit this form factor I would have the perfect mod. I will be testing out the battery life and will report back once I have some info. I vape at 440 degrees, 35 watts, dual titanium coils in a Goblin mini at .13ohms. Juice is 50/50 Nicoticket CLS and it tastes better than it ever has before. What a difference a non clone chip makes!
