that is all i know as I cant do a comparison. Since the door now clips on (like the lipo version I think) , the whole print is different. Whether there are changes to the internals/button etc i dont know at present!
The only authentic atty I've been disappointed with is the Genesis MkII. Just haven't been able to find a build that allows more than just ok flavor, but otherwise it's happy to suck down the juice. That one might end up in the classifieds soon.
Interesting, mine definitely has them. Maybe its just the different vendor?
Mine came from GV apparently...most of the 133 units esauce received were magnets except for a couple which were like mine. Who knows?!?
Does yours have the holes in the back door for the magnet and how is the fit of the door? I can imagine it being really solid even without the magnets on mine.
I posted some pics a few pages ago. It's quite different I think but maybe not. hard to compare with just pics!!
I asked GV about the differences. The main reason for the new design is because of the DIY crowd who keep messing up the magnet installation. There's no functional difference between them outside of that change. Minor differences are the logo is a tad smaller to accommodate the new battery door and the vent holes are centered. I like the magnets because they have a satisfying snap to them when the door goes on, but the change makes sense to me.
I also like the idea of not stressing the material with each battery swap if it's like the LiPo version for retention now. In either case, I have a strong suspicion this will be my next guilty pleasure mod. I made the terrible terrible decision to downgrade to an eVic VT but 60W just isn't doing it for me. -Mags
Is the 510 Fat Daddy (?) actually threaded into the unit or just glued onto a recess in place? -Mags
So it's on there pretty good? Good. I just had a mod which the 510 base spinning and it took forever to get in there and Loctite the bugger. -Mags
shipping showing completed finally hopefully will get it this week if its coming from NY should only take a day maybe 2!! ohh can't wait for my 133
Keep us posted on the new build, battery door, etc. I'm interested because I'm likely placing an order for a DNA133 from Boxer this week. My only hesitation is build quality and feedback on ~that~ specific model. Thanks for being a group guinea pig. ;-)

Is it possible the lack of magnets in the battery door are restricted to the DNA133 DIY kit? Like I said, my assembled 133 has magnets in the door. I don't think I have an older model than TheotherSteveS does as I received mine after and yours came from a vendor that placed their order from before me. In the end it worked out for me and I'm quite happy with it because I like the magnets. Very curious to say how Bow2King's looks.
MagnusEunson, I can say the build quality on my alumylon DNA133. After using it for more than a week I have no problems and it still looks like new, no problems.
