So the power port on the bottom of my Darwin became loose and eventually I just pulled it out cause it wasn't charging .

So I guess I'll have to try and fix this myself cause I doubt it's a warrantee issue.

Anyone pull the Darwin apart and have any pointers for me?

Would evolv repair for a price?

Back to my ego batteries for now. Wow I miss my Darwin!!!! Faaack

One was.resfing random voltages one the usb port was loose and.didnt charge my first one I dropped once was putting it in my pocket and that was.a wrap. Imho the darwin is garbage. Im rolling buzz pro provari and reo grand all way better each reliable darwin is crap from my experiences

Ya well im not a fan anymore after having them malfunction or break so ,any times I cant recommend anyone to buy a darwin I thimk its 250 bucks now definiately dont worth it maybe if they extended their warrenty to lifetime because I saw it as a unit that wouldnt last for two year after that warrenty is up your screwed

Not sure what your doing to need it repaired 5 times. I'm sure your in the minority

Like I said I wasnt doing anything wrong I was actually careful with it because I rely on my pv to keep me sane people love to jump down my throat when I say I had so many problems with the darwin it was battery issues. Usb connector issues. Etc. things that werent user error or miss use. But the first time I did drop it while going to put it in my pocket and it stopped turning on soon after that was my fault but no mod should stop working after falling three feet one time inside the darwin is shotty that nob that turns has got wires soldered to it I personally dont think its a good idea to be soldering wire to moving parts its not a good unit and for 250 bucks I feel robbed my other mids are still alive and working well atleast

I love my darwin!! I haven't had any issues like you describe, Greg. I hate that you had the issues you had. To call it garbage is plain rude.

I wouldn't sell mine for twice what I paid for it!!
I agree that it is rude....but if you look around you will see that he was offered a full refund....IMO going from thread to thread bashing the Darwin is very rude, especially after being offered a full refund....

So I was given multiple options. Send it in and they would fix it for free or he would send me the parts to fix it myself.

I chose the do it yourself option to save on shipping and the time it would take to ship.

Brandon was great! Even went as far as calling me. Great communication and direction on doing it myself. Got to dust off my soldering iron and gave it a shot. Very easy.

I am more then happy with the customer support. They even threw in a few spare parts just in case I need them in the future.

Steve

Nhaler and Evolv stand behind there products.. It's a proven fact. Schmidt happens and they fix it. The Darwin rocks. Let us know how you make out w/ the repair.

TB - so true that Evolv has amazing customer service. However, I would remind any/all following that this case sounds like an exception to the rule. As far as I know, opening a Darwin is an immediate void of the warranty. Obviously, in this case, tacklebait is receiving the go-ahead direct from Evolv. But I would discourage anyone from assuming this is carte-blanche to open their devices. Let Evolv decide and advise you if you ever have any functionality concerns.

Happy :vapor:
