I don't understand your question... You just wicked it with fresh cotton? Then it should be white. Did you prime the wick with brown eliquid? Then brown is fine.

I’ve had that happen, I think. Was your coil or chamber dirty before you rewicked?

maybe not enough then. I’m assuming this brown was nearly instant of course. Even 20 minutes of vaping will brown up a coil. Especially one with a sweet juice.

A pic and a little more information would help with a more informed opinion,as Ross suggested.
The wick will take on some color with use.
Has there been any off taste?

Do mean if it's yellow you let it mellow.if it's brown you flush it on down.

Ok then. Those look like fairly clean wicks to me. The brown spotting looks to clearly be coming from the edges of the atty and one of the coils. I’d say imperfect cleaning is confirmed. There’s really not a great deal of it though.
