dougward1960, BlueFlyingV, and anyone else that is interested, I posted the new DNA40 cradle on shapeways.com. If you'd like to be a beta tester, please PM me.

How hard is it to make a 3d shape like that with tinker - thinking about coming up with something to use in a tube mod (really depends on what switches I use). Probably have to make it in two parts (each a half moon) so i can make the solder connections then slide it into the tube (adding switch caps afterwards).

polarbare, I only use SkecthUp, so I couldn't say how tinker would be. I do have a 19mm ID tube cradle on shapeways.com, but at the moment it's in beta and meant for the DNA30 & DNA20 ONLY.

If you let me know the inner diameter of your tube, I can create a DNA40 tube cradle for you :)

I'll definitely let you know if I decide to go that route. Right now still finishing up this dna 40 box mod - want to see how it vapes and whether I like it enough to go thru the pain of making a tube mod :)

If you like programming, you could try OpenSCAD - The Programmers Solid 3D CAD Modeller or OpenJSCAD.org (webgl and javascript based)

For those of you that were waiting for me to release my USB charger cradle for sale on shapeways.com. It is now open for sale.

Thank you for being so patient while I've test-fitted, adjusted, and uploaded the new file to make it just right :)

@ polarbare, just for fun I've created a 19mm ID DNA40 cradle and posted it on shapeways.com. PM if you'd like to beta test it :)

I didn't read the whole thread, so sorry for just jumping in. But I had a quick question about the fasttech enclosures. Has anyone been able to make a dual 18650 unregulated mod out of one yet? Not sure if some cutting inside would open it up enough to fit two battery sleds in there.

I think that will be very very tight. Mabye 5-7mm left above the battery case if you mill away stuff from the top and use a very compact one. You might need to use a non adjustable 510 and not sure where you would even fit a button.

I'd rather spend time and energy on making a kind of revolver magazine for the batteries!

sanjosse still havent received my items yet, but i was curious about the adjustments you did to the charger. What do i need to do? Plus i got the hana cradle for DNA 30 but i want to use it for the DNA 40. Do i just snip off the lower part?

Aal_, and for anyone else that purchased a USB Charger cradle beta unit. I made the following changes shown in the image below. The updated cradle can be found here on shapeways.com.

Regarding your DNA30 cradle question, the answer is yes, remove the single nub on the end opposite the curved end.

Elev8 was selling off broken defective units for cheep But there out of stock now
DNA 30 ENCLOSURES *Read Description* - Elev8 Vape

They've been out of stock for at least a month. I ended up ordering a hana clone from FC and eventually replace the board with a DNA 40. They have a black one on a group buy for $37.90 and it ends in 6 days.

Focalecig -Best E-Cigarettes - Worldwide Free Shipping

Not sure if their code works with the group buy but use : fcvapingcheap for 10% off.

sanjosse are these changes necessary? Is the picture shown here the new one or the old one? Thanks

Aal_, The image is of the revised cradle, and yes, these minor tweaks should be done for the beta cradle to work correctly. I was able to modify mine in about 15 minutes :)
