Oh OK ... Thanks ... And I didn't know that they are named for dimensions.. Seems obvious now that you say it ktm ... So thanks for the extra info... Also... Thats a good idea with the fabric strip dejay... I can't speak with experience with using epoxy on fabric but the only thing I would think wouldn't work so well is cotton ... I would probabaly try something like nylon ...but that's just a guess

That goes for almost all LiIon batteries. 18350, 14500 (AA), 10440 (AAA), etc. They're basic dimensions of the batteries but it can vary by manufacturer.

Also note it's a gel so it has some fill abilities for small gaps. I also used it to glue the transition moulding between my new bamboo floor and the old tile floor in the kitchen. Still holding two months later after my clumsy .... tripping over it several times.

Looking for something new that I like. Watch this space for new wit, halfwit, nitwit...

ive searched this thread and the fastech thread for info regarding what size the cheap aluminum screws are for this ft enclosure has anyone figured it out and if so where to get some steel ones tia

Can't help you on the size but if you can't find them at McMaster-Carr in any size and material you want it's probably because they don't exist.

I guess I have been overthinking this lol :)

But from your comment it does sometimes happen that epoxy doesn't get mixed properly? All my years I have successfully been dodging any kind of mechanical handiwork and now it all catches up with me...

Mechanical work? Epoxy? Nah, that's chemical work. :)

I bought a 20 pack of 3mm diameter 1.5mm height neodymium magnets from ebay a while back. For some reason I thought they would be much bigger lol. I think 3 mm is perfect because it's very easy to drill out and not too big to ruin stuff. I put 1 of them in the door and 3 of them stacked in the case. If you want to be extra cool make sure to put them in with reverse polarity so your door will tell you it's the wrong way around lol. They hold very well so far.

These should work too but you'll have to drill out the door a bit deeper:
    https://www.fasttech.com/products/0...-earth-neodymium-nib-cylinder-magnets-20-pack

PS: I initially thought I would have to get the magnets to stick into the drilled out hole to center the door correctly, so that either the magnets of the door or the case stick into the hole. But the magnets and the battery holder actually center themselves nicely.

PPS: Another little tip: If you first use the screws to fix the door the screws will scrape a bit of your anodizing off inside the sunk screw holes of the door. So it's best to install the magnets right away. Or cut off the heads off the screws and glue the heads in for a "flush" look.

Just finished a 40 build and wanted to show if off, (sorry my family and friends just don't get it so I do it here) I do have a SJ board cradle but going to use it on the next one (I think i'll do a red one next) I made up a cradle for this one with a mamu screen cradle I had and some plastic hobby square tubing.

OK, finally found this thread. I had been hearing rumors of such a thread but SJ linked it for me last night in my co-op thread.

Got an empty red case already, got a green, blue, and black coming. Plus I have a failed green CHANA that I plan to gut.

BTW, all of the built ones seem plum full of Hot Glue, which I used to despise. Until I found this, how to remove hot glue easily. Heres the link for those of you facing similar challenges.

Hey Mike, welcome to the thread. Thanks for the hot glue removal link. I think I will use that technique a ton.

Great job Steam. Turned out really clean and I like the way you did the cradle.
