Burning Cartomisers? Dangerous?-510/Kr808/4081...etc filler type cartos

Heya all... I'm prepping for a long overdue and lengthy vacation. And it's a REAL vacation (meaning that I'm basically un-wired.... work can't get a hold of me!). So I'm going to be out-of-pocket starting Monday of next week and won't be back in touch for about 10 days.

Between now and then I'm slammed with all of the requisite work that is associated with not having to work (!?). I'm sure that all of my old posts ring with the same accuracy and authority that my new ones do (laugh, guffaw, titter)... so feel free to use them as you deem appropriate. S'OK with me.

And Zelda.... you know that I want you, need you, and someday will have you (even if you ARE a nun on a motorcycle).. but I must say that the new avatar just isn't doing it for me. I have perfect focus and am thinking with astounding clarity. And we just can't have that.

Lu, we all agree that the title should be changed to something more general, like Cartomizers: Dos and Don'ts, Cartomizers-General Discussion, All You Ever Wanted to Know About Cartomizers but Were Afraid to Ask, Cartomizers for Dummies, whatever. Any more ideas, anyone? Bit early for me to be creative. I do my best work after midnight.

It will be rewritten and updated soon, she was on jury duty. I just don't want to bug Lu right now. WW said she needed to update again, add her impression on the eGo carto, the CE2, and we need to add the newest 510s, particularly the low-resistance ones that Kent, Scott and others are using. My daughter is coming home tonight so I'll be busy this weekend, but I'll keep my eye on the thread. If WW can't update this weekend, I'll find the later version.

Here is some tips I got from Missy on how to avoid burning the cartos.
To avoid burning cartos, right after you squeeze the bottle suck hard on the mouthpiece a couple of times. Or you can turn the WetBox upside down after pumping and give a quick shake like you are shaking down a thermometer. That should move the liquid up in the cartomizer.

Here is some tips I got from Missy on how to maintain her wetbox.
to avoid issues with the switch keep the unit dry. If you find that it is even the slightest bit finicky at some point blow out the switch area with compressed air, squirt WD40 into the hole, and let it soak for a few minutes. Then blow out the WD40 with some more canned air and dry off the box. This will dispel any moisture that gets in the switch and clean the contacts. AND you can do it as often as you would like as a treatment for unseen moisture!
Leave the WetBox open to air overnight at least once a week.

hehe...this thread has truly morphed into...well...into something! anyway...once again I have missed 2 pages of posts...btw,,,double posting...no my fault...blame it on the server! Anyway...just a wee bit o carto news....Ross over at Vapors Etc....and yes...probably I am WAY slow...but I just noticed he has the 2.4 Tru KR8's! OMG...can it be...finally a decent KR8 ? (besides the Turbo carts of course)...anyway I got a box to give to the Mr...carto killer premier....we will see how he does with them.

Katya...total agreement for once! Riva/2.4 Tru 510 cartos...perfect!

I'm digging the cone/atty with cart btw - measures 2.2Ω. 1.5ml so 1ml less than the mega but it looks good on the Riva ;-)
