This is a HUGE time and hassle saver. It remembers where you left off (even if you don't). One click and it places you right at the next unread post (well, when it's working). You don't even have to scroll to it. Big deal for fast moving threads that may have gained pages of posts since you left off.

So far, it just takes me to the top of the last page i was reading. But i'm ready now, as soon as it starts working...
(I wonder how much longer i would have stumbled along before i figured that out, had you not mentioned anything ??? )

Bauway 510 2.5Ω on a Riva: surprisingly good. Very nice draw, plenty of warm vapor, gets better after a couple of refills. The first one out of the box has been going strong for three days without any deterioration in flavor (well, maybe a little) or vapor. Feels like a LR carto. Almost too harsh for me, at times; I like cooler vapes. This is based on one carto only, mind you, so who knows what the next one will be like, but so far I'm impressed.

Tru-Vapor 510 2.5Ω on a Riva: my favorite 510 cartomizer. Cooler and softer vape than the Bauway, mild and pleasant, absolutely delightful--when it works well. When you get a dud, it dies quickly (see below). It's very frustrating. But when it's good, it's really good. Right now I'm vaping one filled with Lotus flower from DV (thank you, Kent) and it's lovely.

Boge 510 cartos, 3.0Ω, on a Riva: bland, wispy, airy (even with one airhole plugged), solid, no burning, long-lasting, boring. Not much better on 3.7v.

SLB 2.6Ω on a Riva: I had one good one of of five, thus far. Overstuffed, no airflow through the carto, suffocated coil, no proper wicking.

GP 510 3.0Ω on a Riva: meh.

Nice review (as usual). Glad to hear about the bauway cartos! I also LOVE my Tru-vapor 2.5's (so much so i'm switching from my 808d-1 to an eGo)! But I am a sucker for a reckless throat-hit.... so i'll have to get some Bauway's on order!

Bummer about the ones from GP. oh well. maybe they'll sort that out next time around....

Does anyone know how they're stopping the revision 4 E2s from leaking? Supposedly they won't leak.

Heya schnooookums...

There's two distinctly different kinds of leaking associated with the E2 cartomizers:

1) Reservoir leaks. This is usually caused by a bad seal between the inner air-tube and the base of the ceramic coil pot. We have been told by someone who says that they talk with the factory ( ;) ) that this leak source has been addressed and the issue is resolved.

2) Juice leak through the wick slots when the cartomizer is laying on its side (or perhaps inverted). This one appears to be hit-or-miss depending on how your specific wick has been routed and "fluffed". There are various "mod methods" for addressing this, but I haven't heard of a "factory endorsed and coming to your theaters soon" resolution.

lol. I read a couple of these this way a long time ago.

Translation: "you keep buying them, we'll keep changing them". (not a bad thing I suppose)

My big worry is those guys ran out of superlatives 4 or 5 revisions ago :)

Hi sweetheart! Thanks for the info. I just don't see how they can stop the leaking especially the juice leak without using filler.

Review of the XL 510 Tru-Vapor cartos from Ross at Vapors Etc. (complements of Katya)

Brass thread. Carto lengrh (thread included) 2 inches long (1/2 inch longer than regular cartos). Res measured at 2.3 ohms.
It has a vertical coil. There is an empty space of ¾ inches from the filler to the top. Regular cartos have about 3/8 inches of empty space.
Filler height seems to be the same as regular cartos (about an inch). I guess the extra empty space is to avoid juice getting into the mouth? It also comes with a gasket under the mouth peace.

Passed the Leak test (battery end) very well (A+).

It produces a nice warm (not hot at all) vape (maybe that’s why that extra space is for?) and a very nice TH & a dense vapor. The draw is a bit on the tight side.
I put the gasket close to the filler so there would be the whole empty space between it & the mouth piece. This eliminated tasting any juice.
So far it seems pretty burn resistant and has held up very nicely under heavy vaping (except my head which is getting kind of :-x)

The above test was done on the ego. Then I decided to try this on a 3.7v batt and that changed things a little. The flavor got a little funky. There was no burnt taste though.

I'll save you the science (capillary wicking, saturation, and droplet formation).. but by theory it can be done. It will certainly be a challenge because the viscosity, surface tension, and "adhesion" properties of the liquid is a somewhat unknown variable due to the large variations in the types of liquids that we like to vape.

Wouldn't this imply some material that changes properties in response to the juice? Like multi-viscosity oils do in response to heat? Unobtanium?

Thanks for not overtaxing my brain with all that science hocus-pocus.:) That makes sense though and why it probably won't be done.

I'm vaping one for 4 days and its holding pretty good.

He's got a labor day special going. 20% off everything. If you haven't tried his juice, I would highly recommend Vanilla Clove & Captain Jack. If you are a hardcore clove lover you might want to try his clove also.

Coupon code: labor

I just got a 3ml sample of captain jack with my order from VEtc. today! Very nice flavor. It's like a nice pipe tobacco. Still has that cigarette style flavor, but with a pipe tobacco smoothness. not too sweet. again, very nice. throat hit is not as solid as i would prefer. but this is only 18mg, and I prefer my TH just this side of dangerous ;) ;)

I also get DAAAAAYYS out of these things. *some of the time. the ones that work, work great!. the one's that don't, well.....
I just opened one up, fresh out of the package (order came in today, YAY), smelled great (always do this, just in case they need to air out [had a very "gluey" order not long ago...]), filled it up, fired it up, and it tasted like [expletive]. Borderline burnt, but more fowl than anything. dissected, clean as a whistle, no burning, no charring, just a wast of juice ....

Got my sample today as well, courtesy Katya! so what's the deal with these XL cartos? how can it hold more juice, if there's the exact same amount of filler? I'm confused... havn't vaped it yet (just had a peek inside). i have too many cartomizers in rotation. but i'll be doing some homework very soon!

ALSO, coming soon!

my thoughts on a Tru-Vapor XL 510 carto, GP 510 carto (3 ohm), and a bauway (2.5 ohm ?) carto (thanks again....)

as well as
TRU-VAPOR 808d-1 3.3 ohm cartos!

Let me be clear :) When I say that a 2.8Ω atty or carto vapes like a 2.1Ω atty or carto, doesn't mean that I'd prefer it over the 510 atty or lower resistance atty or carto. And the new one metering in at 3.0Ω isn't encouraging.

Just got mine. Opened one pack and filled them. Ohms came in lower :(. 2.8, 2.7, 2.7, 2.6, 2.5... drat, was hoping for 3.0+

Did I understand you to say that removing both caps and piercing the center fill hole was an "alternate" method? Or did you mean leave the center cap out and then you could fill with a needle straight through the top cap into the fill hole? Just wanted to get it straight that the only way to fill is through that center hole I pierced.

First one I filled I just inserted my needle into the fill hole to clear where I pierced. I have both blunts and sharps (20 gauge I think), I initially use a sharp to pierce and then a blunt to fill. Second one I found that you can pierce with a blunt. Then I tried exploring and it seems there is filler directly below the fill hole. That got me to thinking that maybe (expecially with a brand new bone dry blank) it would be better to put in about a 1/2 ml, wait a bit and finish with the other half. lol, I though about it but haven't tried it yet. Then I got to thinking if I used a sharp I could inject right into the filler and no "soak" time would be required.

So... what's in a straight line with the fill hole? anything to damage if it got hit with a needle point?

Draw is good for me. Actually could be a bit looser but I'm doing them at 6v so it just takes a very short drag. about 1.5 second drag is plenty. It did go "burnt" after just a few drags and then it seemed to fix itself? It does produce so maybe it just took a bit of drag adjustment. Seems that a pretty aggressive (short) drag works best for me. [edit] sitting here vaping on it while typing this. Maybe it's just a tiny bit too hot at 6v and an aggressive drag puts enough air through there to cool it to the right temp. I'm really liking these so far!

Saw somebody's comment that they only last for about an hour? I'm hoping for a bit more than that but ... with the amount of vapor being produced that seems like it could be about right. Here's hoping a delrin drip tip is in the works (why couldn't they just make them the same ID as their other tubes?)

A quick :)p) visual for you, courtesy our new contributing member, Mr. Cozzicon. Nice video, BTW, Coz.

Carry on.

Be back later. :D

Outstanding. Looks like raming a sharp into the filler might damage the coil if you bottomed out.
After a day I'm really thrilled with these. It IS just like dripping with a 510. And the build quality seems to be great (Joye) as well.

So the eGo Mega is a genuine Joye product? do those have the same 510 threads?

Quick, the term "mega" is misleading at best. The eGo cartomizer is the huge, 2.5 ml carto:

eGo cartomizer

People call them mega for obvious reasons, but the vendors call them eGo cartomizers. There have been some QC issues with them, Zelda reported their bottoms falling out , others reported off taste and smell (that includes me), and some burning/plastic cup deforming/melting, etc. They are all standard 510 connections.

The smaller version (~1 ml) is called "Genuine Joye 510 cartomizers" at Cignot, which seems to be the only place carrying them ATM.

Joye 510 cartomizers. Made by Joyetech.

There are other "mega" 510 cartomizers, e.i., at Nhaler, but they are NOT made by Joyetech. So now you know. :headbang:

Actually the first vendor that had them was TW - from where the 'mega' label came:

TORNADO MEGA CARTOMIZERS (EMPTY) - Black

Great. I got the right ones :) and don't feel like I have to try the eGo's now. Thanks.

I'll send you one if you want Quick1. I like the mega and cone/atty atomizers better but I still have my original mega eGo cartomizer running although I've threatened autopsy - other things going on keep it alive. Best Carto I've ever had actually, but the mega atty and cart is just as big - 2.5ml - and easier to fill. Anyway if you want a mega carto, PM me with your address.

Hey, thanks for the offer!
I'll just order a couple. I get my juice from Cignot (DK-Tab, Caramel, 555, all vg) anyway and I could use some more.
I assume they're going to be in the same ball park for ohms? I'll try them either way.
