I'm really liking the "genuine Joye 510 cartomizers" I got from Cignot (fill with syringe type).
The giant "Joye eGo" ones less so -- but I still like them. The concept is great. It's just that the draw is a bit too airy for me and they leak when full (or maybe overfilled). The thing is that the plastic outer just sort of snaps onto the thread/barrel portion at the bottom. I carry my BB/SB with the carto up, either in my belt holster or my pocket. That means that I tend to grab the thing by the whistle tip to pull it out. Eventually I always end up pulling off the plastic outer. It's not like juice floods out or it ruins the thing, but you have to notice it and then snap the barrel back onto the base... and like I said the draw is a bit too airy for me. The regulars are just right on the draw. only wish they had a textured whistle tip and a little more capacity.

Yup. They taste great, but they do leak when full--from the little hole on the bottom. I also had one that just leaked from the seam at battery end. My biggest problem with them is that they don't wick fast enough; I always have to take breaks between puffs...

may be they have been going the wrong way with these cartos. may be smaller is better with these?
I believe it is the wrong way to get a greater capacity. According to one of my home made contraptions, the regular length E2 wicks very well with a larger diameter outer tube. In other words, short and fat works better than tall and skinny. This would make it look somewhat like the eGo cartomizer.

Been a little absent as of late. I just finished catching up. Looks like you guys managed to have some fun without me ;)

Time came to order more cartos. I went with the VaporsEtc Truvapor 510s. These last couple (three?) weeks with the BOGE 2.5 and 3ohm cartos have been nice, but the 3's just don't do it for me, and I have to almost baby the 2.5s. Both are very good, but remember folks, I am very demanding when it comes to my addiction. I like my Throat Hit strong and my cartos reliable.

The BOGE just don't seem to wick well enough. I havnt dissected any of them. But I don't think it's the filler that's burning. They just get that spoiled taste after a time. Sometimes, after only 3 or 4 drags!

Also the 2.5 ohm cartos seem to work insanely well; for about 10 minutes. Maybe 15. I'm talking plumes of vapor with 2-3 second drags. Solid TH; and OUTSTANDING flavor (maybe my FAV). But after that, it's downhill.

I also lovethe idea of a short fat carto! I really want a nice automatic switch battery just in between the diameter of a 510 and a ego. Something like 3-400mAh but still shorter than the Mega 510 batteries. And a pressure switch. Not that microphone technology of yesteryear.

But I'm rambling.

I might've had more to say, But I'm very tired and lost my train of thought.

So goodnight

The most significant improvement I see is that they do not leak into the cup. Some don't even leak if the filler ring is removed and replaced with the middle ring installed upside down. This makes fill ups much easier. However, a few do leak somewhat in this configuration.

Thanks BR.

Good review Salt. This is just the info I like to read. I'm still not impressed with the Boges myself. I'm always looking for a good th.

Those are great cartos. Well built. If they just weren't overstuffed, we would have had a winner.
Manufacturers overstuff their cartos so they can brag about their cartos holding a lot of juice. You also loose more juice with overstuffed cartos.

Mesa, AZ...off the analogs for years!
I ordered some 510 cartos from AZ Smokes, should have them tomorrow, I'll report.

As for the batteries, Lorikay kr8 batts from Vapor Kings. Have you tried them?

No, because they only carry white. AZ Smokes had the colors and that caught my interest. However, I went to double check at Vapor Kings because of your post and they have 4081 cartos that look like the black Trueman's (but probably not). Anyone ever tried these?

RN4081 (Njoy NPRO or SmokingEverywhere Gold)

Sorry your carto bit the dust. I'd chalk it up to a fluke though. Hardly ever happens.

And Bloog is coming out with new kr808 cartomizers. Leaford will have them sometime in November. He says they will be highly burn resistant. Can't wait to try them. He's also working with Royal Smokers. Very exciting.

I've got my eye on this as well.

Very interesting, those 4081s from VK. Well, per their website they are made by First Union, whatever that is, so they are not Truemans. And they can't be the same as the ones Rob at Good Prohets is selling--his prefilled ones are made by LJT tech.

My first 510 from AZS did indeed bite the dust, but the second one is going strong. They are quite nice, but not great. A little on a wimpy side, for 2.4Ω cartos, but clean and crisp draw.

Didn't buy from AZ Smokes yet but I did buy these 808 cartos from Lite Cig

KR808d-1 PREMIUM Blank Cartomizers

On his forum, after being asked, he strongly (well, very strongly) suggested these were the same as Turbos. Hope so cuz I bought a boat load.

I read somewhere that all of those new, higher resistance premium kr808 cartos are made by Boge. Can anybody confirm that?

always a good idea to ask here first

Hi Quick. So how are those newest E2 R4 cartos? Are you ready to update your post in the Master thread?

Ack! Who me? are you talking to me? :)

I've never tried an E2. I'm waiting on E2 R11 before I invest any time or money on the E2s. I figure they'll be sorted out by then and the delivery pipeline flushed of all the prototypes.

I'm still very impressed and happy with the Genuine Joye 510 cartomizers I got from Cignot (and the eGo's from same).
Genuine Joye 510 cartomizer: wish that they fit a delrin drip tip/mouth piece.
Joye eGo cartomizer: wish that the body didn't unsnap from the base (and leak at the seam)

One can't have everything, can one?

Have a happy Monday, folks!

Not sure if my post went through or not. Not gonna type it all again, but I'll try to sum up just in case.

Meant to say 2.0 ohm and 3.0 ohm BOGE cartos. Don't know why I kept typing 2.5.

Havnt tried an auto ego yet. But I will when I can spare the change. Just worried about their reliability. The 510 version last maybe a few weeks before they bug out.

Havnt got my truemans yet either. In a couple days I'm sure.

And yes. V9 turbos are boge
The biggest clues with cartos can be the boxes/packaging they come in, or the end caps and condoms. Most manufactures come up with their own version of both.

That's why it's a good idea to buy your eGo/Riva batteries from either Janty or Liberty Flights. They offer a very generous 3-month warranty on batteries. Other vendors offer 14-30 days. Read the small print. When in doubt, email the vendor and ask.

A quick update on the blank 510, 2.4Ω cartos from AZ Smoke Free. They are nice, folks. Number 1 died after about 12 hours, but did some solid work prior to its premature demise. Numbers 2 and 3 are doing very well, I'm happy to report. They are actually reminiscent of the early Truemans we all loved so much; nice warm vapor, and plenty of it; clean taste; loose, porous filler; fast wicking; very good draw. The manufacturer is Tuofan (?)

A disclaimer: this is just this batch. We know what can happen with cartos, we've seen it happen over and over again. One batch is great, then things go south fast. In the spirit of full disclosure, I ordered 4 more boxes and I'm hoping they will be as good as my first one. There are only few boxes left on the site. What happens after they reorder is anybody's guess.

If anybody has any previous experience with this vendor, please share it with us.

Hi Katya,

I haven't been here for awhile so it may been addressed but you brought up the early Truemans and I am wondering if others have had problems with dead and burning filler cartos from Vaporsetc? Thanks.
