Hi, Sky. Unfortunately, yes. This was one of those cases of 'things going south'. The first shipment, or shipments, that Ross from Vapors Etc got from Treumans were fabulous. Everybody loved them, including WitchWay, Nicnac and Lorikay, and they are not easy to please. As soon as Ross ordered more, the problems began. The cartos were overstuffed, they didn't wick well, some died, burned and shorted after just a few puffs, for no apparent reason. I know that Vapors Etc. is trying to have the manufacturer fix the problems, but as of today, at least, it hasn't happened. Which is a real shame, because those Tru-Vapors were my favorite cartos, period. I bought my Rivas especially for the TruVapor cartos. I hope they will be able to find a solution.

Thanks for the fast response. I had one out of two bad boxes the first time I ordered and both bad the second time I ordered. Like you, I loved the ones that worked well and you are right, it is a shame. What is up with that? You would think the manufacturer could replicate what was made. I've been trying to find something else and I think I will give the A Z's a try. Thanks for passing that on. I had never heard of them before. I've been using the LR 510 from ProVape, which I do like but sometimes the 2.4's were better. I do feel bad for Ross though. Must be very frustrating.

On his forum, after being asked, he strongly (well, very strongly) suggested these were the same as Turbos. Hope so cuz I bought a boat load.

Got these today. Look like Turbos and vape like Turbos. Have no reason to think that when I take a looksee inside it won't look like a Turbo as well, aka V4L Cool Cart.

They both (AZ & Vapors etc) seem to be from the same manufacturer which makes it more disappointing. The ones AZ is carrying look and vape identical to the ones vapors etc original cartos.

Oh, Nic, I have no idea if Trueman is a manufacturer or just a giant supplier. I have no idea how things work in China. I used to think that all the premium, high resistance kr808 cartos were made by different manufacturers, and now we're learning that they are all made by Boge? I had no idea. Not that there's anything wrong with Boge, au contraire, I think that Boge makes high quality cartomizers, so do SLB and Bauway, I'm just surprised. The only cartomizer manufacturer I can't recommend is Kanger.

So how do you like those AZ Smoke Free cartos so far?

I like them very much. They look and taste identical to the old Tu-Vapors from vapors etc.
Its funny. Last Friday night in a gathering I was talking to person who is in Textile business and he was talking about how Chinese manufacturers are in a habit of skimming off the quality every time he reorders the same product from them. he said after a few reorders the quality becomes unacceptable. Does this sound familiar? We'll see what the next batch of AZ cartos will look like.

So I couldn't help myself. I did an autopsy of the two AZSF cartos I had been vaping for a couple of days. One was getting really tired and funky (burnt) tasting, the other one was quite fresh. I took the filler out, rinsed it clean and examined the remains. Pristine white filler, clean diaper with a slight brown mark (the size of a pinhead), vertical coil, bass-colored threads. And that reminded me of something I had seen before.... Bingo!
