What? That's your standard KR808D-1 cartomizer isn't it? The ones from way back when that have been around forever. Run either side of 3.0Ω (more just under than over)

I think Rob at AltSmoke is clearing his out at $4.95 a box (blanks).

Hmmm... they are not old cartos. They have removable (not glued on) end caps and look exactly like -- you guessed it -- BOGE!!!

Neo, go for it!

You may want to email Rob first. Just in case.

Some of those old crummy Kangers also have the rubber caps that aren't glued. Somewhere on my carto journey, I've bought them before.

Been reading about the Mega 808's since the last post. They're worth a couple of bucks to try. I wish they had something else I wanted...I hate paying shipping on just a few cartos like this.

But I thought Kangers came in blister packs. PM sent.

Makes sense. Muah to you too.

Really? A cartomizer I haven't tried! Manufacturer unknown? Ohm rating unknown? Could they be made by Boge?

Neo, have you tried IkenVape's giant kr808 cartomizer? Really interesting. Very nice taste, huge capacity, very warm vape. I just took a few puffs off of one, but I like it.

IKV MEGA KR-808 Cartomizer

The ones from LiteCig... http://www.litecigusa.net/product_p/premkrblankcart.htm... yep. BOGE. I tried them right after the premiums from V4L, came out. same time that the 510's arrived at LiteCig. i liked the 808's better at the time (cuz of the voltage, im sure...). these are the KR version at LCUSA http://www.litecigusa.net/product_p/krblankcart.htm (I accidentaly ordered these once! thought they were the premiums)

I should've ordered a couple MEGA 808's from IKV while i was there, i just don't really like the mega idea. it's just more wasted juice

i got some Bauways from MadVapes on the way. i've only tried 1 or 2... this will give me a chance to give a full review.

and i know i shouldn't, but i have more Boge LR's on the way... I couldn't help myself. But what can I say, until they burn, they are to die for!

I think Lite Cig's use of the word "premium" infers cartos that run hot like V4L premiums. In this case, their premiums run cool, not hot.

Kangers usually do come in blister packs but pictures can be deceiving. Just because the site doesn't show them in blisters doesn't mean that they don't come that way. I'm pretty sure I got some soft cap Kangers (or cheapo replica) that weren't in blister packs but I don't remember where...cuz it wasn't worth remembering since I didn't want any more of them!

Right now, Provapes only carries 1.8Ω LR cartos that look very much like Boge. Nothing 1.6Ω. I think Nic talked to them and was told that they alternate between two kinds of LR cartos. Nic, am I right?

I didn't plan on using any filler in non-filler cartos either, but the XLs really need it. That wick is just about 2.4 cm (in a 5 cm long carto). How assinine is that?

So the 2.5Ω batch from CoV is clean? I don't want to waste any more good vodka. :)

Dr. Cuddy: Who cares about common? Common is boring.

Missed this one.... Provapes originally had the 1.5Ω attys (later cartos) and then they went to "1.6-1.7Ω", now the 1.8. I have the old ones that meter out at 1.5 and then the next that are 1.7~ I understand how the XL's could benefit from the filler or at least more wicking... So far (with 2 anyway) all is well on the 2.5 COV E2 R4's. standard size. I don't use 'good vodka' - actually the cheapest works the best for this 'Galen's' charcoal filtered, unflavored.... 151 - $12. Don't be using Stoli :)

OT - I think House either 'jumped the Shark' or came real close tonight (ie. last night). My wife and I have commented how the casting director(s) gets really good actors/actresses even for the most insignificant roles, but the 'new genius' certainly needs some work - as did the story line, imo. Her facial expressions (ie. her 'acting') are reminiscent of the bad sitcoms that we've all seen from time to time. And the lying thing with Cuddy could spell doom for that relationship. Worst show yet and I've liked almost all of them. I hope this isn't it, but I'm guessing that the new doctor will be a permanent fixture. Too bad.

I've been rebuilding my cartos and only see them burnt when i was out and still used them when taste died. None of the ones I kept filled properly burnt. Now I use a drip tip on cartos and carry a 3ml bottle and haven't burnt one for over a month.

Interesting. How does one rebuild a cartomizer?

Yeah, they don't carry those cartos anymore.

I like Finlandia, Absolut, and Reyka. I use Stolichnaya (that somebody brought to my house as a gift) to clean my cartomizers. But then, it has nothing to do with the quality of the beverage; it has everything to do with my past...

OT. Soap opera, if you ask me. I find this new season very disappointing.

Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot and Nero Wolfe didn't have affairs or changed diapers. They solved puzzles. Too bad.

Understood on both accounts :)

Maybe everyone but me knew this already. But I discovered something this morning while half asleep out of laziness.

Had a fairly new carto that I thought was tasting a little burnt. Sad because it should not be burned yet. Figured I could get one more run out of it and in my stupor, I thought maybe it needed more juice. Filled it through the top haphazardly including the air hole and let it drain.

The juice that drained out had flecks of dark stuff which I had seen previously in my vaping journey and figured it was burned juice flakes. Which I always took as a sign of time to toss the carto.

This time though, now a little more awake, I wondered if my overfilling had flushed out enough burned juice crud that it would taste good again. So I overfilled once more, including the hole, and this time it drained clear.

Cleaned up the mess and popped the carto on the battery. Voila! Good as new.

Bit of a waste of juice but I think it was cheaper than the price of the carto. An hour later, it's still tasting good. :p

No, it was a high res. Hope it works for you or I'll have to move underground. I hope it keeps working for me too and it wasn't a fluke!

It's not a fluke if you are using one with a vertical coil. Back when I was using this type, I always carefully ran a straight piece of wire all the way through the cartomizer before each refill. Sometimes there would be black flakes on the wire.

I do this often, but I use straight PG, not my good juice. Works wonders. Just fill the carto with PG, let it sit, blow out the excess, repeat if necessary. I'm too lazy to boil or soak in vodka and dry them, but this little PG flush is nice. Works with both vertical and horizotal coils for me, you just need to really blow out the excess PG (from both sides for horizontal coils). Tastes funny for a while, though.
