BR, have you considered using a jump start cable and hooking it up to your car battery? A BR Passthrough? salt might like it.

The br pass through I use is a home made contraption that operates from a monster regulated power supply. I think it came from an old main frame computer. I have not tried to jump start a car with it, but it looks like it's large enough to do it.

Where would I put all them wicks at? In a Mason fruit jar?

You could use something like this for your tube:
beer-stein-1.jpg

And then walk around with a beer stein in each hand... one filled with beer, the other juice :p

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

the new drip-style 510 cartos: Are they the same size as regular cartos?

I think they are about 2 mm longer than the standard ones. They do look huge with the drip tip in place, though. They hold the same amount of eliquid, about 30+ drops. I remove the DT and replace it with a regular soft tip from another carto.

One of the reasons for me not caring much for the drip tip is that it adds a good bit of weight to the device. The weight is especially noticeable when used on a small battery.

It would be for electrical use so I don't think I need jewelry grade silver? I just don't want to use copper in juice and don't want to have to seal it either.

Do you think German Silver would do? It doesn't have any silver in it, though. I think it contains 18% nickel.

What about monel wire?

I have no idea... I just assumed that bare copper in your juice tank maybe wasn't a good idea?

I don't think copper would bother me any more than a brass fitting on a cartomizer. But then, I've never given much thought along that line and have no business saying anything one way or another.

I figure copper wire would get that green oxidation. At least from the air and I don't know how it would react, if at all, to juice... You had any bare copper wire in your tanks for a while? I'm thinking about really heavy gauge (bordering on a post/rod). Looking to make a permanent atty -- at least that part of it.. Genisis type

The E2's have small gauge copper wire going to each end of the coil. Both ends are exposed and they always look clean when opening them up for maintenance. Likewise for a few of my splices that were just bare wire twisted together.

I have a C-E2 mod rigged up that can work at 10 volts. Do you think that would be enough? It's way too much for me at 7.4 volts.

Sounds like fun! sounds like it'd be right up my alley!

why would you want to go high voltage when you can get the same results going with low resistance?

MORE POWER!!! mwahahaha!

But I'd hate for all that power to go straight to my head!

You need to take a trip to China and slap those manufacturers around and show them how it should be done. :vapor:

I was scrolling down to get to BRs pics, and reading kinda fest as I went... When I read this, I didn't read it as "...slap those manu-facturers around...", suffice to say, what I thought I read was much funnier...
This is what the wick and coil assemblies look like out in the open:

twin.jpg

It is shown here screwed on to a Hello 16 battery for display only. It will not work on this battery.

That is gorgeous! :hubba::drool::w00t:
I think im smitten!

Boys, boys. Really...

We could just hook it up to the air vents in my truck. No more worrying about where I dropped my e-cig! Then, I can use the dial for my heater as the POT for variable voltage! But then I'd need one in the house too, otherwise, I wouldnt get outta the truck!

Yeah. That too.
For some reason I missed that one. Guess I'm getting to old to be that quick.

**********************************

Thanks to Katya, I have also been trying the new drip-style 510 cartos. With only a few exceptions, my opinions are about the same as hers.

To begin with, I think it works a better than my previous filler type cartomizers. I haven't tried every cartomizer out there, so maybe I missed some really good ones.

I've run a good bit more juice through mine than Katya. Maybe because my juice is different. I topped this thing off so many times during the first few days that I lost track of the amount. A few times I thought it was about ready to scrap, but the next top off brought some more life out of it.

Not one to give up on something that's still working, I fitted it to a KR808 battery when it finally got a bit too weak. The taste was not as fresh at this point, but still acceptable. The draw was still nice and easy.

At this moment it is on a pass through adjusted to 4.1 volts and I am still smoking it. The draw is still nice. The taste is not all that great, but it's still pumping out more than my older cartomizers. Now that I am going to the extremes, the drip tip finally has a use. I can take several puffs, then drip a few drops to keep the flavor there. I'm not a dripper, but sometimes I do silly things without knowing why. There's no telling what the autopsy of this thing will be after it gives up the ghost, but I'll let you know.

Edit: I failed to mention. The air holes in the threaded fittings are larger than usual. Most are smaller than a #60 drill bit. The holes in this one are the same as a #58.

You were never young enough to be this Quick.

 ha!

...
So... I got me some KR cartos to use with my AVS. They are different than I remember. It has a soft plug, but retains a very similar shape to the old hard cap, only bigger. Also, there was no noticeable wire, and the filler seems different. softer? But since I am using it in my AVS at 6v, I cant really say anything for certain about any differences in performance.

I would love to try one out on a regular battery... but I punched holes in all of them (for the AVS), and don't think I can just wrap some duct tape around it. well... I could. Dont want too, though. I'll grab some more, and update then.

Has anybody looked at these in a while ? maybe we should ?

Bad boys.

Please let us know. I took my last one apart after maybe 6-7 ml and the filler and the diaper and the little sock were absolutely pristine. The yellowish mark on the diaper went away after a wash, so it was just a juice stain, not a burn mark, after all. The interesting thing is that the filler in the DT carto is about 5 mm taller but 1.3 cm SHORTER than the filler in the SLB carto with the same construction (2.6 cm x 4 cm versus 2.1 cm x 5.3 cm). The SLB filler was wrapped so tightly around the coil that I literally couldn't get any air through it. It burned after just a few very labored drags.

I love the loose filler in those DT 510 cartos. Those larger holes might be helping with the airflow through the carto too, methinks.

Has anybody looked at these in a while ? maybe we should ?

I haven't had a Kanger in awhile. Every single one I ever tried was bad. Where did you get yours?
