Liberty Flights. I have only used the one (other than on my AVS) so far. It gave a good it, but started to taste funk after about 1-2ml. I'll try another.

It's almost time to let you know. It's been working at 4.7 volts for 2 days and I'm not using it as often now. The draw is getting tighter today and it is no longer a pleasure to use. The taste is fair while the filler is wet, but it requires too much dripping to keep it that way. I'm getting tired of messing with it. It needs to be put to sleep to get us both out of our miseries.
Well, these look like new and improved eGo mega cartomizers. Looks like they are paying attention and made a carto that can be refilled without a syringe--just take the whistle top off and drip into the filler, just like we do with a cart and atty. That's very interesting because it solves the major problem people have been having with those cartos.
So what's the difference between those cartomizers and the eGo mega atomizers and carts?
I'd love to try them, Ty, if you can get some samples. Both the Bauways and the Janty versions look promising.
Thanks, BR. I'm surprised yours lasted that long. I started having taste issues much earlier, frankly. But then I never liked to use cartos for a long time. They all start to taste funky to me, no matter how good they are.
Having said that, I have something to share with y'all. Yesterday I received a E2 510 XL carto, 2.5Ω, R3.5, I believe, that had been fixed and torched and adjusted by en expert. [Thank you, BR.
] I've been vaping this thing nonstop for two days now and I'm close to a vaping nirvana. This thing is unbelievable. There is absolutely no comparison to the stock cartos I bought myself, nada, zero, zip. The wicking is perfect, the taste is just like dripping, vapor production is out of this world. This is the best vape I've ever had, from any cartomizer or atomizer. I don't know how he did it, but I now finally understand all this fuss about the E2s. All I need to do is to add more liquid when the taste diminishes, and it's like new again. And I'm using thick eliquids in them--Drewbacco 1 and all VG Ylang Ylang from DV (thank you, Kent C, wherever you are). If the Royal Smokers makes a cartomizer that works like BR's modified one, we'll be ready to declare victory and close this thread. Unfortunately, this has not happened yet. So we have to wait and pray that they, or somebody else, get their act together and deliver.
Now I have to try the clear mod that I got from CoV. Life is good.

Yeah. I had no idea. I kept trying and washing and dry burning and I couldn't, for the life of me, understand what all the hoopla was about. This carto I got from BR is golden. It just doesn't get any better than that. I'm a convert.
Looks like a thicker body/shell. Plastic? almost all of the ego cartos I tried leaked. They leaked right around the connector. I used them on a 510 mod so I would cut the skirt off. It was thin and would flex. I suspect that also flexed the body around the connector and broke whatever seal there may have been. Maybe this address that also?

I bet plastic. Never had much luck with the JOYE variety... I think Some of the other companies just wanted a share in the EGO carto market. Not sure if the one i saw from alibaba is genuine Janty or what.
Just like the Ego, and the Riva, and the Vgo, and the T-rex.... i don't think any one is much of an improvement over the other, just another man's take on the same thing...

Katya has some R3 XL's with the br touch.
Most of the R4 Xl's out there right now ain't worth a poot unless they are modified. The latest ones from China have longer wicks and they *may* work better. That is, unless they mix some of the older ones in with an order. Right now you are still buying a pig in the poke.
When I had some revison 3.??????? I modified the wicks and they worked pretty good. I tried some of the rev 4s but they seemed worse than the rev 3s even when modified.
Yup. Zelda lost a couple of atties. They just fell out of her mega eGo cartos! Never happened to me; I just couldn't make them last more than a couple of (messy) refills. My genuine Joyetech cartos, however, leaked like a sieve. It's a shame because I liked their performance and taste. It would be nice if somebody could redesign them.
I didn't have very much luck with Bauway cartos, so I'm a bit suspicious about those. As for the Janty, I don't understand who makes them. Janty line is manufactured by Joyetech; at least that is my understanding. So can anybody just make a cartomizer and slap a Janty TM logo on them? I mean, even in China, aren't there laws against it?
I finally gave up on the 510 Drip-style Cartomizer and opened it up. It's not a pretty sight, but I didn't expect it to be. A small amount of the filler is burned, but for some reason I was not tasting it. After inspecting the coil, it looks like it may have been burning some from the very beginning. This is because the coil was cocked at an angle and the ends were digging into the sock.
This carto was poorly assembled. It has a vertical coil, but I could not see the wire or woven tube in the center when it was new because it was sunk down in the filler. In addition, I could not see light all the way through the center, so I didn't know what type it was until it was taken apart. Obviously, the crooked coil obstructed the line of sight.
I took a new one out of the package and can easily see all the way through it. Maybe it will give better service since I'll rod it out with a wire between fillings.
I don't see anything special about these things except the air intake. The metal intake tube has a bit larger inside diameter than usual and the two holes in the threaded fitting are larger. The additional air flow gives a cooler smoke and maybe the coil runs a bit cooler. The filler is a pad that is rolled around the center and I always like this type better. I'm looking forward to using the new one. I'm doing some other testing at this time, so it may be a while before I fire it up.

I don't guess you have the br touch, heheh. I've only recently found out how to make the R4's work.

What I wrote applies ONLY to the carto with the magical BR touch (see below). Every other E2 I tried was bad. This also goes for the latest clear mod from CoV. The vape was nice, but the wicks were stinky. Washing and dry burning didn't help. So I took it apart again, tried to rinse the wicks and dry them but I must have dislodged the coil in the process and the blasted thing fried the second I put it back on the battery. My fault, for sure, but still. I also had a hard time trying to find a mouthpiece that would fit in the plastic tube, without success--everything I had on hand was too small. I need a carto that is user friendly. I don't want to futz and I don't need a hobby. I want to take it out of the box, fill and vape. We're nowhere near that.

Zelda, "the best carto ever" was the work of BR. I wouldn't recommend buying anything ATM. Of course, you may get lucky; some people did. But I wouldn't count on that. They are not ready yet.
Ha!!! I guess not. What do I have to do to get the BR touch?
