It does exist, after all. The mythical, the mysterious eGo-T. And it's made by joyetech and Ovale. Thank you, Ournature, for providing the link. We're looking forward to the reviews. The tank does look small. I like the on and off feature; 5 clicks turns the battery either on or off.

I take it you all speak Italian. :)

That's nice... I don't think it is a 'tank' but looks like a cart with out filler (aka ZFM) for the cart of a megaEGO cone shaped atty and some type of 'cap'... one could make this using the silicone top of a coolcart or similar..

check this thread out if you would like more info http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/120764-ego-xl-no-filler-cart-mod.html I have found that it works rather well, but not too many people sell the cone shape atties.

One thing is I wish I know what the "T" is and what else does that battery have that sets it apart from the 'traditional' ego batts.

Hello, LGD! Nice to see you! T is for tank. But Arjay had some bad experience with the device.

I've noticed a burnt taste on a few of my cartomisers that I purchased from vape4life. I just ordered the joy ego. Will I have the same problems with this PV? If so, what kind of PV do you have that you consider safe? I haven't had an analog in over 3 weeks and would like to continue to vape, but I don,t want to start another very unhealthy habit.

Well, as has been pointed out by Katya many times, if there was a simple, definitive answer to that question, then this thread would be shut down. Unfortunately, that hasn't happened yet. One thing I will say though, is that the burning issue has more to do with the design of the cartomizer than the PV that you connect it to. To get you started, I'll point you to the same post that I was pointed to when I first jumped into this thread: recommended cartomizers

Hi, Bornwild, and welcome. I agree with everything my learned collegues said above. I may add that I am very familiar with V4L because I started vaping with them and there is nothing wrong with their product. Their batteries are very good, the manuals, I never cared for their autos. They carry two kinds of cartomizers, the LR premiums (~2Ω) and the HR CoolCarts (~3.2Ω). The LR premiums are much more prone to burning. [The WOW cartos can be anything--premiums, CC or even their old cartomizers, so you never know what you're using. WOW is their new line of juices, not cartos. It's complicated.] Which cartomizers did you have problems with? Were they prefilled or blanks? If blanks, are you sure you filled them properly? They take ~30 drops of eliquid; if underfilled, they are more likely to burn.

EGo is my (and many others') favorite PV, even though it's not foolproof. It has finicky circuitry and its infamous MOSFET switch has caused many heated debates on the forum. But the eGo/Riva/Tornado class batteries are easy to use and generally dependable (if they don't die within the first two weeks, chances are they will work fine for at least 200-400 cycles). If you ordered a kit, it will come with atomizers and cartridges. Some folks love dripping and consider it superior to cartomizers; others don't have the patience to deal with the three-piece design. See how you like it. But even if you do, I suggest you order some cartomizers, just for convenience. I recommend the Boge--they are by far the most reliable 510 cartomizers. I use and like both the 3 and the 2Ω versions. Just keep them wet, not flooded, but well saturated, at all times, and you should be OK.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Not familiar with your setup, but consider that a singe in a carto and a bad taste no way imitates the process of burning an entire cigarette. Not comparable in the least.
This is not to say we want burnt carto's Just giving you something to chew on.

Well, we really don't want to go there because we don't know, do we? You may be right, you most likely are, but there have been no studies of any kind as to what it is we're inhaling when our cartos start to burn. So let's just try not to burn them. I can tell you from experience that I have, in the past, inhaled fumes that constricted my airways and made me want to throw up. That was some time ago, when I had no idea what I was doing and the cartomizers were worse than they are now, but that was the reason I found and joined this thread. 'nuff said.

Just a note: Burnt taste does not necessarily mean burnt carto materials.

True, but it's never fun. Cartos short (really nasty "car on fire" smoke), the wicks burn, the crud on the coil begins to smolder, sometimes the polyfill begins to melt... Not to mention all kinds of unknown and foul tasting substances that the atties and wicks are soaked in during the manufacturing process...those burn too.

Katya, I just saw that Leaford announced that you've been selected to get a Bloog review kit! I just ordered some myself... wish I'd known you were gonna be sampling them, maybe I would've waited to hear your opinion before ordering. Oh well.

Kodos, first of all, I want to thank you very much for your post in the Bloog subforum. I couldn't really respond there, I hope you understand, but I was touched by your words.

I was thrilled pink when Leaford, our vaping guru, contacted me two months ago and asked if I would be willing to be one of the reviewers. It was an acknowledgement and validation of all the hard work we have been doing here for months. I love this thread, and I love all the people who have kept it alive for a year and a half--the MVPs (you know who you are:)), the visiting talent, the guests, the temps, the technical advisers, the sciency guys, and those who just stop by to say "keep up the good work."

I'm glad you ordered them. I'd love to hear your opinion. :p

My point in the occasional smell/taste of a singed carto is of course not good, and yet it is no worse than many things we are in contact on a daily basis. Follow a diesel on the road, or breathe brake dust on that commute. Cleaning solutions in the house or business, gassing up your car, and I could go on, but I think that gets the point out.
That said, none of the above is desirable, but considering we were (and I am in the process of quitting, Jan 1 target) smokers, these items are miniscule by comparison.

In fact I would be more concerned with the flavors some of us ingest. ""Thus my original question of **Temperature**"".
The least known element we are ingesting/inhaling are the flavors and what point they go into breakdown "and turn into what?"
VG/PG we know survives the vaping process, as does nicotine. That can (and has) be seen and tested.

No, I don't like polyfill, and wish they would go to "cotton" for batting. Is that too much to ask? At least then we would be assured we weren't inhaling burnt plastics as in poly. Cotton would be advisable since it is a plant byproduct, rather than petrol.

But it is as it is. and I am still searching for that temperature of a dry running carto atomizer @ 3.7v (and fully charged my one battery hits 4.3v, for a short time)
