Kodos, first of all, I want to thank you very much for your post in the Bloog subforum. I couldn't really respond there, I hope you understand, but I was touched by your words.

I was thrilled pink when Leaford, our vaping guru, contacted me two months ago and asked if I would be willing to be one of the reviewers. It was an acknowledgement and validation of all the hard work we have been doing here for months. I love this thread, and I love all the people who have kept it alive for a year and a half--the MVPs (you know who you are:)), the visiting talent, the guests, the temps, the technical advisers, the sciency guys, and those who just stop by to say "keep up the good work."

I'm glad you ordered them. I'd love to hear your opinion. :p

in the spirit of the season here is one of the 'temps' stopping by

sure wish though that witcheygirl would pop in, sure miss her!

in the meanwhile, katya, thanks for keeping this organized and moving

My pleasure, Katya. You deserve it, and both you and this thread in general deserve credit for keeping the issue alive. :thumb:

OK, peeps! It's official--the Bloog cartomizers have arrived. I'll be sending some samples to our regular contributors tomorrow. I pretty much know who uses the kr808 cartomizers around here, I think, and those folks have been notified. If I forgot someone, please send me a PM.

I miss her terribly, too. I hope and pray she'll be back soon.

Right back at ya, Tib!

We won't report you.

you have me there...

I always figured the Orient had cooler birds than we did. (is it ok to say orient? is it the Asia's or something? Forgive me if im not PC...)

Always wondered about dragons too. I always thought the Scottish Dragons were cooler though. (Irish?... again... US public schooling )
They are much gnarlier. The China kind are like the drag queen version. (I dont mean anything sexual by that... only that they might be more at home on the Vegas strip than actually breathing fire and just generally being legendary... but I never met one, just seen them on TV...)

I dont have anything to report. Cartos performing as to be expected. Usually get about 2 days out of a carto. Even stepped it up on my BUZZ to 4.5v+... I still have days where I burn a few before lunch. But leaps and bounds, my friends. Thanks for all your support!

Tried a couple more C-E2's... Threw away a couple more C-E2's....

Thinking about Bloog's...

NO way man! Chinese dragone are WAAAAAYYYYY cooler. European dragons are just fat iguanas with wings. Chinese dragons are all spiky, with wicked sharp teeth and claws!!

And as for birds, China does have some beautiful species of parakeet, but I'm as likely to see them here in Shenzhen as I am to see a squirrell in Times Square! All I have seen here are some pet lovebirds and budgies. I actually found a lost lovebird outside my apartment building, and tried to nurse it back to health, but it didn't make it. Later, though, I found a street vendor selling budgies, and got two. One was sick and died, but the other is flying around my living room right now, going where he's not supposed to, of course.

So I got my bloogs today, been vaping them a couple of hours now... obviously it's way too soon to be able to say anything about their burn resistance, but their performance in other respects seems really impressive.... tons of vapor, great TH, great draw... less of a need for a pre-puff than with most cartos.... in fact, in a lot of ways their performance reminds me more of [properly prepped/maintained] CE2s than traditional filler cartos. I'd still say that CE2s, when they're performing at their peak, are a slightly better vaping experience, but not by as wide a margin. If these things turn out to really be as burn resistant as leaford says they are, then I could see them becoming my new go-to filler carto.

Anybody else have any first impressions to share?

You make a solid case, my friend. I think the only way to settle it, is to have a battle to the death!
--- Jeezus! I just thought about how gnarly that would be! But can you imagine the fireworks!?

now... down to some business

Bloog.... Hm Hmmm Hm Hm Hmm! This thing might be a keeper! (Thanks, my love!)
Prefilled however, that;s not necessarily a bad thing. The 555, tastes just like the V4L WOW version... The stuff I just ordered, because I was given a sample by a customer of mine (whom I never did thank, because I was so busy at the time, I forgot who it was! - my apologies! if you are reading, You have my gratitude! I have a new go to vape!), and think I am a convert! only 11mg though, so 0 TH. bummer. Im a TH junkie!

The translucent endcap is nifty. Easy to remove, even without fingernails! Id say more about it, but can't seem to find it

It appears to be a horizontal coil.. has anyone taken these apart yet? It's performing very nicely. I dont want to sacrifice mine!

First impressions on performance... Similar to Kodos'.
I can't fault it. Great vapor. no matter how i hit it. I can pull hard or softly, for 8 seconds, or 2 seconds, and still have a nice vape. Its not hot either. Almost like it just responds faster when activated. Heats up quicker or something, without overheating. Maybe consistent is the word Im looking for.

I will meter one tomorrow, unless anyone knows the resistance off hand.

Are these supposed to be burn resistant or something. All I remember from the Promo is MAX this, and MAX that. If Leaford hadn't been featured, I would have suspected these to be any different than anything else out there.

On another note, My truck wont start... The day after I took it in for an oil change. I tried to push start it. No dice. So now my truck is just a couple blocks away, and still wont start.

You guys are making me all excited about the Bloog. Do they come in 510s?

Hehe, so you like'em Bloog cartos? I do too. The problem is, I'm not quite ready to do a review because I have to retest the resistance. Leaford said they were standard (for kr808) 3.1-3.3Ω. I tested one quickly before trying it and it read 3.1Ω or so, so I left it alone. But when I was getting ready to actually write my review, I decided to test them properly. Guess what? They really are LR, at least by kr808 standards. I'm getting readings from 3.2 to as low as 2.5Ω, and if I subtract the 0.3Ω resistance of my leads, we're cooking here, boys and girls! [Leaford is gonna kill me, but these puppies are nowhere near the 3Ω+ resistance.]

I have to take my dog for a walk; it finally stopped raining and she really needs some exercise. I'll be back later with more.

Salt, how about calling AAA? I'm so sorry about your truck.

Nic, you haven't been paying attention. Do you have a kr8 battery? Or at least a 510>kr808 adapter? Let me know.

I pay a full attention to this thread. :pop:
This is where i first check in when I get on ecf. That is why i asked if they come in 510s because I was PAYING ATTENTION when you mentioned earlier that the ones you were sending out were kr8s. I do not have a kr8 or any adapters. I only use 510s. But if I get a good enough review from you guys, I will have to get an adapter.

Hmmmm.... very interesting.... someone on the bloog subforum said they metered theirs at 2.6, and leaford was following up with them by PM... I figured they must have just metered them wrong, but now it seems like we have independent confirmation. Maybe that's why I like them so much - I tend to enjoy a hotter, LR vape, I've just been avoiding LR cartos cause I'm paranoid about burning. But if the manufacturer has somehow managed to design a carto that's both LR and burn-resistant, then I say bring it on. Time will tell I guess.

Yeah, same here... they haven't made any burn resistance claims in the marketing materials - that just comes from leaford himself here on ecf... he's described them as being the most burn resistant filler-based carto he's tested. I really hope that turns out to be true, cause I'm really digging their performance.

Sorry to hear about your truck. If I see Santa, I'll ask him to bring you a new battery ;)

Please give us more updates before the curiosity kills this cat.

Hehe.... can't really give you any update at this point other than that I've been continuing vaping them for the last few hours since my last post, and my opinion hasn't changed yet. I've vaped one of them down to probably about half its juice capacity, and its performance hasn't noticeably dropped off yet, which is a good sign. I'm gonna keep vaping till it's dry, no topping off, just to see how it handles it.

Now, that's better! :)

Rob at Good Prophets carries adapters for 99 cents and they are adjustable, i.e. one can adjust the airflow. They are really nice.

Ok, only reason to push start is if the battery is dead. If you did a proper push start and didn't even get a "almost started" pop or anything then it's not the battery. I suppose there is a a very outside chance (miracle) that the alternator or regulator died and that caused the battery to die some time ago and now because the charging system is dead it won't generate a spark because the charging system is dead too. So check for spark if you can. Charge the battery, pull a spark plug wire and hold it about 1/8" away from the plug contact and turn it over and watch for a spark. If you see a good spark then look for fuel problems. Plugged fuel filter or bad fuel pump or blown fuse on the fuel pump.
