Thanks Bovina! I actually met my son 1/2 way today and have my grandson for the week. I guess whether our house sells or not will be our decision maker. Not a good time at all to try and sell a house :-(

aww that's sweet...how old is your grandson? Chasing after a little one will keep you young! Have an awesome week with him :)

My avatar is my son LOL, he's a 7 year old moxie (dachshund / maltese bred) named Chase

So much to do about NoLox....and Galvanic Corrosion...BTW GC occurs whenever 2 dis-similar metals come into contact with each other...The severity depends on the atmospheric conditions encountered...Aluminum is notorious....Brass not so much... Then I was quoted as saying NoLox is a thread lubricant and anti-seize....I'll stand by that....A very similar compound is aptly named Anti-Seize.....The Buzz comes with engine assembly lube in the threads...That given all should be good....When I read I comprehend BTW...We chatted a bit on this last week when I told Bov just a dab of chap-stick would work...it will and she said she had plenty.......
All that cleared up so...The end caps are brass...it's a soft metal...the tubes are aluminum also a soft metal....GC shouldn't be a problem..<<READ...Using nothing at all on the threads and maybe you'll never have a problem...<<READ Myself..I'm still riding on the assembly lube...If the threads get to feeling funky I'll hit it with either chap-stick or NoLox...either is fine in my book.

How would Nolox work with cartos and adapters sticking or many times I use adapters in pairs and I'm always having to use pliers to get them apart. Would nolox help there you think? there the same metals.
Also as I said "an ounce of prevention....". I think your post on Nolox was a great post. I haven't used it before but on my first stuck threads I'll dang sure wished I had.

5CS ....I remember what you said about the nolox the other day...spot on...Your mod is super sweet too...and you know we got those same long azz cartos...I call `em 100s..Those adapters and cartos aren't threaded worth a damn..NoLox ain't gonna hurt..but probably ain't gonna help either...I'm real careful with a new carto and thread it on and off a couple of times if it feels wacky...I only tighten to make a connection too,,,,maybe tighten the adapter a bit more...I got an 808 and 901 cap...no need for a 901 at this point...but at any rate I hate adapters...especially with the mega 100s...At any rate keep the pliers handy...Saw your post on soldering irons as well...I got a cordless Power Probe....and chit for skills...but I'm .......so you know...Was gonna post but the PP ain't cheap...VVPV is heading our way....I really liked the Wet Box for the feeding...the whole week it worked{switch} fixed it with same brand switch and got additional 24 hours...Drawer...

Vaseline for the carto threads, gentlemen...just a dab'll do ya :) And then wipe the excess off with a tissue before you screw it on.

What are these big azz cartos you speak of BTW? I tried the GenJoye's and it's just not worth the syringe hassle to me...and until the CE2's are less hit or miss I'll keep my money in the high performance boge 510's.

My first mod was a wetbox and at the time I was using the KR8 fitting...the batt (....) holes in the boge KR8 cartos are too tight for the needle feeder. Was a novel idea for for about a week before I got tired of fooling with it. Mine is in the "shoulda saved my money" drawer too.

The new 3.0 ohm megas Ikenvape had made up. They got black endcaps that's how you can identify them. They are sweet, they last forever but they're out of stock.
Thanks Ell Dee me compadre. To mooco bueno cabrone.

Ya, I know Mike. Sometimes I get carried away tightening them. My bad.

apparently they run a little hot...... some say around 4.1v for the 3.0 ohm and as low as 2.8-3.0v on the 2.5 ohm cartos

I can't wait to try some quality juice again...Never knew those threads were cast...WTH? No freekin wonder their so crappy...A spare adapter may come in handy to chase the threads before mounting it up....maybe

I used the e2 at 3.8 volt and it faired pretty well. Can't chain vape at that level and sometimes I had to turn them upside down to re-prime.
Time for night night. Have a good evening everyone.

I've been using the high performance 510 cartos from Bruce at CoV and have been happy enough. I looked on Iken's site and he's still out of the megas so I hopped over to Nhaler and grabbed a couple of boxes of his stainless steel 510 megas to try. The ones I ordered are the high resistance ones...we'll see how I like em.
