So I was mixing up a batch of my current ADV, TFA Dragon Fruit and Strawberry, and I though I had struck gold. It was the smoothest, best tasting, vape I've ever mixed. When the 30ml test batch was almost gone, it was time to mix a bigger batch. Mixed it up, dropped some in my .5Ω IGO-L, vaped, and coughed! Where did this massive throat hit come from? Then it hit me....I forgot to put the nicotine in the test batch and I've been vaping a placebo for ~10days. So now I have 120ml of 10mg on standby for a rainy/stressful day and mixed up another 120ml of 0mg for my ADV.

Thanks to everyone that has been an inspiration over the last year. It's my turn to pay it forward.

On a side note, over the last few months I've stuggled with inability to fall asleep at night, sleep quality, difficulty waking up, and being tired mid day. I NEVER had this problem when I was smoking. Those 10 days on the placebo, and the days since, have been some of the best sleep I've had in a long time. I've been running of 4-6 hours of sleep for the last 10 years of my life (comes with the job) and though that my difficulties were due to aging, stress, newborn baby, and other external factors. Turns out most of it can be attributed to nicotine as I'm sleeping much better now.

Very good! I lower my nic when I start having problems sleeping. my DIY is down to 4 mg. I keep trying to tell myself that at that level I don't really need the nic, then I see what I have left in the freezer and the frugal nature kicks in ;) I think at this rate I have enough for it to actually spoil in the freezer before I use it all

Let's be very serious... No, it's not nicotine. Let's see: sleeping 4-6 hours a day over TEN YEARS! Aging... stress... newborn baby, other factors. Then you *really* think that nicotine is the primary factor?

Look at it this way. Nicotine will precipitate the other issues. So it's like removing the straw that broke the camel's back, so the camel can keep walking. But don't forget about the camel! And unless you have a flawless diet filled with all sorts of raw leafy green vegetables, packed with all the vitamins, phytonutrients and enzymes your body truly requires, I can promise you that the nicotine is the least of your worries. But tobacco smoking on top of an unhealthy lifestyle will turn something that is rather harmful into something that is painfully lethal and cancerous. So in that respect, I hope you would do yourself justice and accept the true severity of the load you have placed your body under. You have named four MAJOR factors alone, the first of which alone would bring 90% of non-smokers to their knees, then turn around and say it is nicotine causing you aggro! Come on! Like I said, don't confuse the straw that broke the camel's back with the rest of the workload. With this mindset there will always be another straw to come along and break you.

But on the flipside, great to hear you have transcended the addiction! There is a saying... a smoker never forgets, to smoke. So seeing how you have forgotten, I think you can give up your title of "smoker" now. Please return your badge to the front desk and vacate the premises immediately :D

Let's just say that my lifestyle is not typical of the average person. Nicotine may be the straw, but the rest of the load cannot be removed from the camel's back. Being one of the few variables, if I have trouble sleeping with nicotine, then take the nicotine away and start sleeping without issue and I'm able to perform at 100%, then I'd call nicotine the culprit because it is within my control. If I had more control over the rest of the load, then I'd consider making some lifestyle changes. A common phrase in my line of work: you can sleep when you're dead.

Dragon fruit and Strawberry!? Oh man that's it right there. Shall give it a try as soon as i get used to making my own liquids!

I was trying to replicate ECBlend's Dragon's Blood, but stopped trying after this simple recipe turned out so good.

10% Dragon Fruit
8% Strawberry
2% Ethyl Maltol (sp?)
