I agree, Muth - the Ares did suffer. I had a couple that didn't have those issues, but I just didn't like the vape. But I'm not so sure about any significant issues with the True. I remember seeing a post of one that had a broken oring out of the box. And RC says he can draw air with his closed. Both are simple oring issues.Hi RC. I'm still not done reading the whole thread but I remember Brewdawg saying that when AFC fully closed, on his, there was no air at all. I'm thinking o-rings. Ah, just saw Brewdawg's post about that. Sorry for the repeat but worth saying that most of us have been vaping for awhile now and I find it vexating that ONE device could fall into the hands of so many people with so many variances. How can we have a proper discussion when we first have to launch an investigation and analyze possible flaws in the mechanical engineering? I had more faith in Ehpro. Every Ehpro product I've purchased has passed quality control save one. And that one was sold to me by someone else. It was the original Bachelor with a top fill cap that was so loose I had to secure it with a vape band. Lol, I'm starting to think it's karma! Whatever it is I'm not pleased hearing all the stories and am miffed that my vape friends get put through the mill when all they want to do is enjoy a good vape. This is just plain bad business practice, imo. If all of you were discussing clones from SXK, SJMY, Coppervape, Ulton, YFTK, et al, it would be understood but EHPRO? The same thing happened with the Ares manufactured by Innokin, another trusted name in the business. My Ares was flawless but two of my friends had "lemons". I was starting to doubt them, thinking they didn't know what they were doing. It was driving everyone crazy. They thought they were at fault, too, because others were getting good results. In the end and after 2-3 months of sheer madness it was clearly shown that there were flaws in their Ares tank(s). Yes, they both bought 2 because they were so psyched about the hype. If I remember, one of those tanks was okay but can you imagine buying two of something and they both crap out on you. So, 1 out of 4 was good. Is that acceptable? END OF RANT.........good morning![]()
Haha, Idk about "crafty" but I have been nicknamed muthgyver (after tv personality, MacgyverYou must be really crafty, Muth. And you're definitely underestimating my laziness!![]()
Well, thank you for cutting to the chase for me. When you're not familiar with all the players you can't be too sure about what's happening. In most of my experiences wicking is the "devil in the details" and usually the last skill a vaper masters. And sometimes an ongoing education because of the differences in atomizers. Thanks againI agree, Muth - the Ares did suffer. I had a couple that didn't have those issues, but I just didn't like the vape. But I'm not so sure about any significant issues with the True. But on the leaking? I just searched this thread for the word leak, and 2 of the (only) 3 that had the issue fixed it on the next build with wicking. I swapped a tank for the only other member's that had a leak, and I haven't had a leak out of it wicking it to the bottom. I'm really finding these every bit as trouble-free as the doggies. It's the best tank I've ever owned by a fair margin.
I'm absolutely cured of tank shinyitis for now.
I don't know what it is about the True, but first builds seem to leak, then quit completely. I agree with most of what you're saying, but not about the Prime. That's why I quit the Prime for the Doggy. I wasn't getting TH out of it.After a week with this tank, I can confirm what everyone here has said: fairly easy to build and wick, easy to fill, super smooth draw, completely silent, consistently dense vapour with lots of flavour. Zero leaks laying horizontally in my jacket pocket all day. Works perfectly with TC.
Some comparisons with the Hastur mini and KF Prime, my two main everyday vapes:
I find that throat hit on the True is less than the other two, which both have amazing throat hit (especially the Prime) using my usual 15mg freebase 50/50 menthol. The True is a little too smooth on the inhale and I find myself missing the throat hit.
The True seems to go through liquid a little faster than the Prime and a lot faster than the Hastur mini. I find it also vapes warmer than the Hastur mini, which is warmer than the Prime. Not a complaint, just something to note.
The smallest AF setting on the True is 1mm but feels tighter than the draw on the Prime set to 1mm. I never understood why the Hastur mini doesn't have a 1mm in between the 0.8mm and 1.2mm so this actually sits really nicely in that space.
Last point about the True -- I hate the white plastic showing through the fill ports when it's closed. That just really bugs me for some reason. Aside from that, this tank actually looks really nice. I've swapped out the plastic drip tip for a steel one.
This is an awesome, affordable little MTL RTA that is a real pleasure to vape on, and I'm so glad that I took a chance on it. It's definitely going into rotation, with the relatively weaker throat hit putting it just behind the other two.

Evidently, what we've got here is a new (fairly new?) MTL tank designed by Ehpro & NatureVape.
The Ehpro True, according to web info, is a unique and compact MTL RTA with optional 2ml/3ml e-juice capacity.
The True comes in three colors.

It mainly features the innovative two ways for coil building. So you can install the coil under the clamp or under the screw, which "brings you much more convenience".

Plus the easy top refill design, the Ehpro True MTL RTA "will bring you great vaping experience".

C'mon down, Brew!![]()

Hey anyone use it in its more "traditional" setup? I haven't but I would love to hear from someone who has.
I agree this little tank is amazing. I kind of believe I may be buying a bunch.
