Well I was just wondering that same question and I'm into about 2 months straight vaping. I have a new juice from E Liquid Planet called Essenes strawberry fields. Its so good that I chain vape it until I go to sleep. I'm vaping 11mg nic 510 LR Ego and I been waking up with a little sore throat every mourning.

Its normal to want a analog for the first week as a vaporer and if you have one its OK. E Cigs PVs are not here to here to help you quit smoking but they will if you keep at it. Dont think because you have a analog your doing something bad because just think of all the analogs you avoided by substituting with a vape. Eventually though your craving for a analog will go away and all you will do is vape. Unless your out of juice and then you might have to smoke a cig.

You must drink - drink a LOT - especially DURING vaping. PG and VG will both dry out your mucus membranes, staying well hydrated is key to avoiding sore throats or dry throats.
As for vaping too much - if you feel ill you are vaping too much nic - you can vape constantly on lower nic but the high stuff can gve you headaches or upset tummy. It dissipates quickly once you stop vaping for a little while - the same way caffiene jitters go away once you stop pouring coffee down your throat. Coffee drinkers with this issue make a lot of their cups de-caf because they enjoy coffee but don't always need the 'hit'.
Vapers can drop their nic levels or go to zero nic to achieve the same results (if they don't wish to limit their vaping).

Not really. Nicotine is a self-regulating drug. When you start to over-do it, your body will let you know before you really hurt yourself.

Nicotine by itself is not terribly harmful. It is about as dangerous as caffeine. If you are using a lot of it (either nic or caffeine) and have a pre-existing heart/blood pressure issue, it won't help, but it won't make you keel over all of a sudden either.

Do whatever you need to in order to get off the cigarettes. If you're worried about the amount of nic you're using, you can start tapering down later. Most people find it is much easier to taper down with e-cigs than it is with cigarettes. But that's later. For now - just focus on your success!

I am on day who knows with out analogs. but today I have been really wanting one and have held off just becuase I know how easy it is for me to fall back. I also told myself I have not quit smoking so to take the pressure off and it has helped the mind.
I just went and pulled out an analoge but seeing I can't find a lighter LOL I mixed up a juice to teast as close as It can to it with a High nic. so far so good.

In theory, yes. In practice, no. The truth is you are likely only absorbing a fraction of the stated dosage into your system when you vape, and as MistressNomad said, in the unlikely event that you do take in too much, your body will tell you so long before it becomes toxic.

If you are trying to quit analogs, vape as much as you feel you need. Vape compulsively if that is what you are inclined to do. Vape until you're blue in the face. You can worry about tapering nic or quitting vaping long after you aren't struggling with the craving for analogs anymore.

On a related side note, one of the problems with patches and gum that makes them ineffective, IMO, besides that fact that they don't mimic the hand to mouth action of smoking, is that the products come with dosing instructions and users feel they must follow the instructions to a T. Basically it makes them a one size fits all method, no matter how much you smoked or your personal predilictions. And also, you are told that you must taper them off and when. It's why they are relatively effective out to around 60 days and ineffective after that...because that is when people are told to quit using them. With e-cigs, there are no manufacturers instructions to fool people into dosing the way someone else thinks it should be done, and they allow you to taper and/or quit nicotine whenever you feel like it, or never.

Grats on day four! As far as too much? I'm not an expert, but I would assume your body will let you know. At least that's what i go by. For one, I try to limit myself like I would an analog, even though it's so easy to just keep vaping away. I feel ya on the wanting an analog though, it was about on my day four or five that I thought I was gonna lose it and grab a pack from the gas station. But, I just soldiered through it and had my e-cig handy at all times, and now I'm closing in on the end of week 2 and analog free. I'm a creature of routine, so that basically how I vape, just like I used to smoke. I don't know, but that helped me for some reason. Once you hit the week two mark, the cravings for an analog seem to diminish, and as others have stated, all you'll crave is a vape. I plan on getting some 0 percent juice just so I can pacify vape more often because that was one of the reasons I liked to smoke, the actual smoking part of it. Overall though, I think you would have to vape ALOT of very strong juice to do any damage. The only other thing I can think of that could be harmful would just be the unsafe handling of strong uncut juice, and it being absorbed through the skin. In that scenario you'd just use common sense when handling the juice I suppose.
Anyways, once again grats on day four, and it'll get easier and easier.
Happy Vaping!

I found my body regulates how I vape. Granted, I haven't picked up a ciggie since I started vaping, just smoked the last 4 ciggies I had and they were friggen awful! I haven't had a real desire except when I was vaping too low of a nic strength. I upped it a smidge, and the desire went away.
I went through a phase of vaping like a mad woman on crack....about two weeks, it was all I did, drained my battery 3-4 hours before I got off work, then, just as suddenly as it started, it went away, and I went back to a vape every couple of hours or so. I have been as long as 4 hours (conscious, not sleeping!) with no desire or thought of vaping.

Today, my day off, I have enjoyed vaping. I am shopping for new flavors to play with next buying spree :)

I don't see why you can't have a no nic juice and cartridge or cartomizer and just swap out every now and again. It's what I did during the mad vape phase, cause surprise, I was getting headaches from too much nicotine!

So, I don't think you can vape too much, and if you think you do, then go the zero nic route and you will feel better about it, no?
Enjoy the vape.

very well said.
i vape much much more than i ever smoked analogs. i feel great. i have no shortness of breath, no smokers cough, i've been intubated in the past month and my endotracheal tube was clean and had a very smooth emergence from anesthesia, i sleep better, i have more vitality, my microcirculation has vastly improved as evidenced by pronounced improvement in skin texture/color/turgor, have an overall appearance of health. and in addition, for the first time, i have actually LOST weight as a 'nonsmoker", because i maintain a revved up BMR due to my nicotine intake. so i vape without any guilt. oh by the way, i am a health care professional.
p.s. i smoked for over 25 years-pack to pack and a half a day. been smoke free for 2 months. started vaping two years ago but fell off the wagon, simply because the quality of devices were not as good as they are now................but now with the eGo and all the other excellent PV's and mods, there is NO turning back.

My little sister called me with this very same question a few days after I gave her a 510 kit... she was all jittIery and lightheaded....

I asked her, "Well, if you sat down and chain-smoked an entire pack of unfiltered lucky strikes, would it make you a little queasy? There ya go... just lighten up on the vaping, or use the PG to thin the mix some."
