I stopped smoking indoors 9/11 this year for the first time in 28 yrs but I'm always outside puffing away! I have the Vapor King and I think its great quality with outstanding customer service but gah! I can't find the flavor and strength that will keep me inside again! LOL! I work at home on my computer so this is becoming a problem... and it's getting cold outside! I'm still trying and not willing to give up trying! Brrrrr! Halp!

Peggy
PS, I told my doctors I am vaping and they are all for it (Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Neurology.)

Yeah, finding your sweet spot is hard for some. I found that I don't like the tabacco flavors at all, and it is the cappuccino, chocolate and banana flavors are the ones that I tend to grab... What have you tried (flavors and strengths) and why don't you like them? ((Too harsh, no throat hit, too sweet...) Maybe we can help point you in the right direction... Taste is so subjective, but most people like the banana and Cappuccino - good throat hit on both at 18mg, may be considered harsh even by some. Very smooth and mild at 8mg if you are looking for taste over throat hit.

My first few days I found that I had some cravings that the VK didn't satisfy, so I had 3-4 cigs a day. I ordered some stronger cartomizers, and that seemed to do the trick (I'm on day 10 now of no analogs). Flavor is so subjective - it's a lot of trial and error. But don't despair, you'll find some that suit you. I can tell you that I'm looking forward to not having to constantly duck outside on MN winter days ;-)

Sweet spot? Yup, sounds about right! I smoke 120's (More & Eve Lights, but I'll smoke Virginia Slims if the store doesn't carry either.)

I like the coffee, cappuccino, and caramel but I'm still missing tobacco in between. RY4 and Mboro (now cowboy?) are not for me. I'd like to try the Virginia and I am curious about the 555 (nutty undertone) and the hilton but I have no idea what they are comparable to.

I know I'll find it... it's just taking awhile! LOL!

Well I still have an analog everyother day but for me it is more of a mind game not really craving the cigarette. But in determining strength I knew I had to go up in nic level when I did smoke the analog it was giving me a rush. As soon as I uped the nic I no longer get the rush and The need went away.

I'm still working on the mind game bnut the above helped.

Also try the chocolate and mint. The cowboy mnthols at a higher nic help me as well.

I was there too and happy as can be. 3-4 was a big deal for me! And increasing the strength made the difference for me too it's just...

All people have stress. It's how they handle stress. Unfortunately I seem to handle it by reaching for the dang cancer sticks! I do not deny it! LOL! I just have to change it!

I woke up this morning with a tight chest and coughing phlegm again... and I know its because I smoked way too much yesterday and the trigger was stress (bought a car in ebay, lol! That'll do it!)

Man, maybe I just needed to vent! I'm upset I smoked a whole pack of cigarettes yesterday and it hurt my lungs. I fell off the wagon. I guess I just needed to talk about it.

Thanks for being here forum members!

Same for me - after 40 years of it, I am a professional! ;-)

Maybe try some Nicorettes as a supplement? I keep some in my office for when I travel or for long meeting days. One day last week my cartomizer ran out of gas before it was time to leave the office, and I had forgotten to carry a spare. I almost lit up a Marlboro, but remembered I had the Nicorettes, so I tried one, and it got me over the hump.

Hmmm... have they improved them over the past 20 years or so? LOL! My Dad gave me some when I was a teenager and he was quitting smoking. They seemed to help him but I didn't like them because they gave me heart burn. Something to think about though. Thanks for the tip! ;)

Hey Peggy,

Hang in there girl, perhaps you are putting too much pressure on yourself to quit. Why not let it be ok to have an occasional analog if your stress level is demanding it? Keep working with nic level and flavors until you find the one that has you reaching for your vape instead of your smoke when stressed. Don't forget you can always combine your flavors, add a touch of tobacco to whatever you are using and perhaps that will help? Sample packs are coming soon! That should help!

Your V4L family is here for you, keep us updated!

The newer ones aren't so much like chewing on a little hockey puck, anyway, and they have some flavors now. But yes, they can cause some heartburn. I never had much luck with them for quitting, but have used them for "meeting cigarettes" or when stuck on an airplane for hours as a homicide-prevention device. ;-)

First of all, don't put so much pressure on yourself --it will only make it worse. Don't make cigarettes the "forbidden fruit". Trust me. :)

Second of all, I discovered that 90% of the time, the flavors that I thought I would love I hate, and the flavors I thought I'd hate, I love. I smoked full-flavored regular (non-menthol) cigs for 20+ years, and believe it or not, my favorite flavor right now is the V4L Mint. I got a 5ml bottle of it just to try it fully expecting to hate it. It's my favorite flavor. Here is a list of my fav's (so far) in order of preference:

Mint
RY4
Coconut
Peach Cobbler (this one grew on me)
Banana
Pineapple
Pear
Chocolate (this one grew on me)
Watermelon
Ice Cream Sundae
Vanilla

Don't be afraid to try things you think you'll hate. If I hadn't done that, I wouldn't have found most of my favorite flavors. And if you DO end up with something you can't stand, you can always try to swap. :)
