After smoking for many years, my sense of smell is probably very poor. I'm wondering if the vapor I exhale has had any odors removed, or does it smell like whatever flavor it might be, to other people (non-smokers, in particular)?
Can others smell my vapor?

It depends on the juice and the gear you're using. People definitely smell mine. It doesn't linger like smoke, but while the vapor is in the air, there's an odor
My roomie can tell which flavor I'm vaping by the pleasant aroma it leaves behind. Roomie comes in and asks, "Are you vaping amaretto"? I answer, "Yes. How can you tell"?

Isn't is amazing about this side benefit of vaping? Depending on your favorite flavors, be they ADVs (all day vapes) or those you'd rotate, they serve as a not-so-cheap air freshener.

All my juices are "Mrs. Kodiak" approved. I can't vape around her until they are. Most pass the test. I used to crack the car window when I vaped with her along but she said my coffee vape was quite pleasant so it wasn't necessary.

Technically, we buy it to vape.....And we vape it.....So the "Air Freshener" is a FREE side effect. Or as Bob Ross used to say, "It's a happy little accident". Much better than the stench that we used to carry around.

My husband says that he smells something sweet when I vape sugar cookie, but he can't describe the exact flavor, and sweet potato pie smells like bread cooking to him. Not sure why?

My daughter, and my wife actually inhale deeply when they come into the shop now. Say it smells like a bakery when I am vaping something like lemon cake, cinnamon danish or my DIY Blackberry cheesecake.

All my vape smell delightful, well at least that is what others tell me, mostly non smokers. I leave a trail of pleasant vape where ever I go. lol
There will be an aroma, not so much an odor IMHO. Many friends have enjoyed the aroma. As a matter of fact many have asked to try based on the smell, that's smokers and non smokers alike.
My son-in-law and grandson startled me to no end the other week when they both suddenly jumped up out of their chairs and started shouting. My daughter laughed and said "it's alright Mom! They're trying to win the flavor guess"! A dinner guest (an outside smoker) looked quizzically at all of us and asked "that's a *flavored* eCig?" He then had me blow clouds closer to his direction, and he still didn't smell anything except a faint wisp of caramel. I was vaping a mild flavor. Next time I'll take over the "big melons" by vapor craze! It smells like freshly opened fruit gum. (& tastes even stronger, it's incredible!). Usually, I do vape a strong flavor around the kids, because they love the smell, but knowing a dinner guest was going to be there too, I took a mild flavor. My hubby &. I could t smell a thing.
Long story longer.., some Flavors are strong, some are not, most are faint, yummy faint thank goodness.

On a side note, once one stops smoking and only vapes will their sense of smell and taste return over time? A coworker of mine (who got me interested in vaping) said it returns very noticeably.

Yes, I haven't smoked for 14 years now and my sense of smell is very keen. This is not always a good thing.
