Can they smell me?

As a analog smoker for 30+ years, I have a notoriously poor sense of smell. Actually, it's already returning a bit after a week using a vp. I just wonder if people in my office can detect the odor. Fortunately, I've already developed a preference for chocolate and blueberry, but what does it smell like to The Others?

I'm sure it is nothing like my former paul-of-death scent from using combustibles. I just hope they are not sitting over there thinking, "Wow, is SnakeFarm burning a WD-40 coated latex glove full of blueberries?"

If you hold back on the power vaping and clouds of vapor at work, and keep the exhale low, and if you use a low-odor liquid like a basic tobacco - then no, people can't detect it. But if you blow out clouds of aromatic cherry coke butter rum whizzofizz, then yes, they will get it.

So it's a matter of scale.

Some branded e-cig companies advertise there's no smell from e-cig vapors...lies. People smell it and if you vape VG thick vapor like I do, it fills a room too. I was hoping when I switched, I'm off the hook, but people smell my tobacco flavors...but I don't want dessert, candy or fruit flavors. :)

Vape some coffee flavour. Nobody will ever know, though your office may find it's going through more coffee than usual.

Most people at work say it always smells of caramel or maple syrup when I vape, even outside they say this. I wonder though, sometimes if they say it smells like this as I'd previously explained the core componets of Ry4 (what I normally vape) or maple waffles / maple walnut (another common vape for me). I know most of my tobacco mixes hardly smell at all and I've had at least one work colleage claim it smelled of caramel still, even when I'd not been vaping RY4 at all on that occasion...

Desert Ship (a funky Turkish American blend) stuck up my office and the adjacent hallway and a couple of people mentioned that. I should have expected that since I was not allowed to vape that one in the car. But now I mostly vape chocolate/cocoa (usually a cocoa tobacco that has very little tobacco smell - Vapor4Life WOWbacco), vanilla, and caramel. None of those are very noticeable. Fruit flavors may be a bit more noticable. But nothing like that Desert Ship.

The four people who have been introduced to it in my office by me using it at my desk throughout the day, can smell absolutely nothing. I use 80/20 juice, from Rockstar and GV, and none have detected any scent. (I use the eGo-T type-B) I don't produce huge clouds of vapor... just enough for satisfaction. :D

I vape at my cubical all day and nobody says anything. If they do notice it's only cause I didn't hold it in long enough and a little bit of visible vapor escapes. I only vape mint flavors. No tobacco or anything else for me. Another coworker of mine vapes his own DIY and uses a lot of fruity flavors, they're pretty obvious.

Thanks. I drink lots of coffee and love honeydew melon too, but don't like to vape them, same reason I don't touch the other flavors. One reason I smoked so long was I really like that tobacco flavor, wish I get even more of it in fact. :)

Actually, this is in my house, could be all that juice I get on me. But when I'm watching TV, the entire room gets foggy, and I'm only vaping a Riva, not even LR atty or high voltage.

Edit: being the vaper, I can't smell it. It could be psychological too.

I work beside my mother in law who's never smoked a day in her life. I vape the same flavor day in and day out, which she can smell and likes the smell of but she hasn't asked about it in a few weeks because it's always the same, today I decided I needed a change. As soon as I took my first vape at work she turned around and said...what's in that?? It smells different?? It was a waffle/maple/raspberry/vanilla bean mix (I was in a mixy mood :p) She said...oh it smells really good!
