Not EVERYONE seemed to know that it is the wrong term. There were plenty of people in this thread that seemed to be confused about the meaning of the term and just use it because everyone else does, and that was sort of my point.

I think there are a lot of people who know it's the wrong term. I think most of them don't care. If there are some who didn't know it's the wrong term, you've now educated them. If that was your mission, you accomplished it, and job well done. However the thread title seems to imply you had more in mind than just simple education. Perhaps it was just poorly worded. *shrugs*

it may not be the correct term but it helps people distinguish a regular cig from a electronic cig when making threads/posts. if you just said this cig that cig everyone would be confused. analog helps you clarify u mean a normal cigarette compared to a electronic cigarette/PV

The term analog is stupid because PV gear (unless is has a digital display) is ALSO or actually more analog by definition. You don't say a fire is analog. A lightbulb is not digital just because it goes on and off; neither is PV gear.

It seems like half the English language is based on semantics. Literally doesn't even mean literally anymore. Literally.

Analogs are slang for cigarettes. I was working, otherwise I would have been here earlier to clear this up. That seems to take care of the OP's question, thanks to everyone for participating anyway!

Your vape rig is analog. It isn't processing 0s and 1s when you take a drag. It actually fits the definition of analog better than traditional cigarettes do. E-cigs aren't digital; just FYI.
