my next order will definately not be 24mg, i may need to cut this with something.

which is a good thing i guess as i was worried about not getting enough nicotine. lol.

get some vegetable glycerin or propolane(?) alcohol and add a bit to your bottle of juice, it'll cut down the nicotine. You can usually find it at a pharmacy.

P.S. Food grade for either one.

Dano, I started with 24mg/ml and very quickly went down to 18mg/ml. I have since gone down a couple more times and am now at around 12-14mg/ml. I don't know how much juice you ordered at 24mg, but if you have a lot and you want to cut it down, you could go to Walmart and buy some USP grade VG and just cut it. If they don't have it at Walmart (it'll be near the alcohol and caster oil...:)), CVS usually has it. At Walmart it's HUMCO brand and says "Glycerin" on the little 6 oz. bottle. It's sold as skin protectant. You can cut your juice with that, BUT you will be diluting the flavor as well as the nicotine, so be aware. I figure right now your taste buds are shot anyway, so it may not matter too much about the flavor. :) (Your taste buds will come alive again once you've been vaping a little while.)

Also, if you feel a little queasy or headachy, back off....you're getting too much nicotine. And like someone already said, drink as much water as you can. Both PG and VG will dry you out.

My daddy used to say, "I got my tongue tangled up around my eye tooth and I couldn't see what I was saying." Ha. Kay means propylene glycol... :) The only place I've ever found PG (propylene glycol) besides online is at Southern Agriculture or Tractor Supply. I guess it's used to prevent/treat Ketosis (???) in cows. Sounds yummy, huh? :) Anyway, I have only been able to buy it by the gallon (yes, I said gallon) there for about $35. The VG (Vegetable Glycerin) from Walmart/CVS is a better short-term solution.

I'm going to go against popular opinion and suggest you not buy glycerin from Walmart or a pharmacy. That stuff just doesn't taste good at all and who the hell knows what it's derived from? If you're going to dilute some of your e-liquid, get some plain PG or VG from Wizard Labs or another DIY vendor.

i'll be fine with the stuff i got, i've got about 40 ml of different flavors all at 24mg, i'm hoping to go straight to mixing my own to keep costs down. i'll probaly go with 1 more circuit of premixed flavors at lowered nicotine then look for a simple recipe of what i liked best.

i don't want to lock onto any flavor yet as you've pointed out my taste will change.

i will say that the english toffee is very pleasant and smells good. i liken it to an episode of willie wonka creating something, lol.

looking forward to a smoke free tomorrow:)

You could also try getting some of the same flavor in the lowest mg of nicotine available and mixing to your preferred nicotine level. That way you will still have the flavor you enjoy. Mixing your current juice with plain PG or VG cuts the flavor a lot.

That's exactly what we did when we were adjusting our nic levels down. I would order 24mg and 0mg in same flavors. It took me almost a year to get down from 24mg to 18mg. DH did it faster, though. (Having VV helps a lot, too. I can lower voltage when my normal is a bit much and raise voltage a bit when I need more throat hit.) Neither of us have been satisfied going below 18 mg with our very few preferred flavors but I've gone down from 6-9 ml a day to about 3-4 ml so pretty much the similar outcome in the long run. DH does always carry a bottle of plain VG/no nic to dilute a bit when his throat gets a little sensitive.

i smoked for 25 yrs. Yesterday was my first smokeless day in 15 years. I filled up my reo on Monday at about 4:30PM and haven't touch a smoke since.

the old saying if it sounds too good to be true then it must be, when do i find that out?

I much prefer vaping than smoking. I will never go back and plan on vaping the rest of my life. No more ashtrays, smell, burns...

It all comes down to finding the right set up and a juice you like. REO has made that possible. Congrats bro.

I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop for a long time now....instead, vaping just gets better and better, I feel better and better, and the chances of my EVER smoking a cigarette again get more and more remote. A couple (+) of years into it now, and no down side yet. You can see why we all turn into evangelists about these things!! I smoked for over 40 years and NEVER thought I'd find something that would work...

Congratulations!!! Is your family noticing yet?

You still have one more major cost to incur. There will come a day, probably a couple months down the road, when your sense of smell returns to near normal, when you'll open your bedroom closet and almost be knocked over by the smoke smell clinging to your suits, sport coats, sweaters, etc.

Taking a truck load of clothes to the dry cleaners is not cheap... but it's worth it. Hard to believe that we all smelled like that at one time... even harder to believe that we never noticed it.

Good on ya, keep at it, you'll be surprised and how quickly you become a former smoker and a vaping enthusiast.

You brought a tear to my eye! It has been quite an experience with you from that first post.

It is always nice to see someone decide to purchase a REO. But to have someone start out with a REO is very special.

I knew you could do it! There might be some tough times. They happen. We are here for you. Many have posted the "Help ME!" when they are hit with a "I just can't get what I want". There are ways to get you through. We know, we have been there!

how ironic, i just had my wife drop off about thirty items to the cleaners. luckly i've always been real aware of the smoke smell(thanks to my wife) and only smoked outside. and deodarized the car quite often.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and gonna keep rolling along with my good fortune of stumbling upon the Reo, ECF and all the good people who have taken time to respond to a strangers posts.

Most of my family that are not vapers, understand and have welcomed the fact that not only me, but two of my adult kids now vape. My one daughter that does not smoke or vape is a little leery about the vapor. She has not yet seen enough to show her that is is not harmful to others. She is very glad though that the rest of us are choosing to vape.

There are those you will run into that will ask "Now how long ya gonna use that thing?", or "when you gonna quit using that?". I guess there are always those who never smoked or quit cold turkey that think vapers are still just as hooked.

I guess I am. There is still not a thought in my mind to lower my nic or quit vaping. I like vaping, I like the nic. At this point in my life I really give a rats tail what others think I should do!

Great news Dano. Makes my day here. If you should crave a cigarette grab the Reo and vape away. That will usually quell the urge. It's great that you are keeping us updated with your progress...thank you.

This isn't a one way street with you asking for advise and people offering their ideas to you. Actually you've given me a lot to think about as we'll. you've reminded me of what it's been like to quit smoking and how it's benefited me over these past few years. We tend to take things for granted at times and your posts here are a good reminder to vapers of the journey we've traveled, progress we've made and just how lucky we are to have discovered vaping.
