I just purchased a Riva on a recommendation. It is my very first attempt at this e cig thing. I am trying to switch from regular cigs. Well call me dumb, but I have no idea how to fill it. I have empty filters, an atomizer and the battery. I have no idea how to fill it and get started. I tried searching for a video, but they were not riva style and just confused me. I swear I am not usually this useless. Please help!! TIA:confused:

I am a GUY from L.A. not girl. lol
First, take the atty thread side into a paper towel and blow through the cart side a few times. There is a primer you must get rid of first. Then attach the atty to the batt. Take an empty cart(filters) that have filler in them. Drip juice into the filler until the top of the filter looks slushy. Drip a drop or two on to the atty bridge(mesh inside the cart side of the atty), then attach the cart. Press the button for a couple seconds then draw and blow out directly. The first few drags on a new atty are a little gross(atty needs to be broken in). After four or five drags, take the cart off and top it off until it is slushy again. Put the cart back on and enjoy.

Exactly. And the videos on youtube for filling 510 carts are going to be the same instructions for Riva's too.

Thank you everyone. I do have the liquid and last night I did drip it onto the filter part, but it seemed to only take about 4 drops and I puffed it (wish I'd known not to inhale then :( ty) but it seemed to go dry after 3 puffs. How much should I be able to fit, and how long does that usuall last? Thank you so much guys. I hate being the newbie with a million questions, but you guys are a life saver. Thank you.

Something doesn't sound right.
You have a battery with female threads and an atomizer with male threads. Then a cartridge with a fiberous filler in it. (Excluding cone for simplicity.)

When you pull the cart out of the atty and flip it around to look at the fill, does the fill look like it is cupped slightly? It should from touching the atty's bridge.

Get a pair of tweezers and pull the fill out and blot it with a paper towel. Put the cart you pulled the fill out of aside and inspect the fill. Is it light colored? Does it have any hard brown edges? If it has any hard edges, cut those off. Then drip about 10 drops into the cart, using the tweezers, slip the fill back into the cart. Top off the fill till it looks like a slushy.

Reinsert cart into atty and try puffing again.

Hi,
Good choice on the Riva!!!
just about anything that comes from JOYE FOR 510'S WILL WORK ON YOUR rIVA.
I used the filler for almost 2 months and then said screw it.
I started just dripping directly on the atty. it takes about 3 drops and you can get several good pulls from that drip. as your atty breaks in , you will not need as many drips to get good hits. Mine just kinda broke in where 2 drips is perfect.
Welcome to the forum... keep reading and learning it is such a good thing you are doing for yourself!!!

Keep in mind that this isn't like a cig, you don't just light it up and puff away. It takes a bit of fiddling at first, and practice. Once you get it though it's easy. With a new cartridge I usually get around 15 to 20 good drags. A new atomizer usually sucks up a few drops right away and you have to top it off. The Riva is pretty much the same as an eGo which are both 510's. The battery is just bigger on the Riva and eGo. Just look for videos that show any of those and you should get the idea.

I second that. You can drip (just to try it) by taking off your cart and taking the filler out of it so it's empty, drip a couple of drops right onto the atty and put the empty cart back on. Vape away.

If you like it you can get a drip tip (a mouthpiece designed just for dripping) and you won't have to take it off to drip and put it on again. It just stays on and you can drip right down into it and it funnels the juice into the atty for you. They only cost about $2 and you won't have to mess with carts anymore.

Good Luck!
