Honestly IMHO, if you are going to use within a year, there is probably no need to freeze. If you are stocking up 40+ years worth for the vapocalypse, then freezing is probably the right thing to do. There is no way at this point to know what nic will be like after 40 years of storage and if freezing keeps it better longer then it seems like a no brainer to freeze. At least for long term storage.
