Can you vape at work?

I also never asked. But I quietly vape in my cube. Doing so now!! Everyone except the boss is cool with it. The boss is of that "You are still addicted" stance. He also doesn't think it is good to be vaping, he'd prefer I stop all nicotine. I was ready to start debating with him (and his 4 to 7 LARGE coffees and his obvious caffeine addiction.) I quickly remembered my right to remain silent! You know how bosses are...

I do not vape in his presence. But the office is only 4 to 7 of us (the rest are on the road, but occasionally stop in.)

(I wish juice manufacturers would get the nicotine from non-tobacco products, but I understand this is costly. That tobacco link is how THEY will attempt the regulations, etc. )

Same here - Folks know I want off the analogs so haven't had an kick-back when I vape at my desk - My boss even complimented my gear (Kanger Mini-Pro and Ego Twist) - lol - Been trying to set an example for a couple of the chimneys, but they aren't ready yet

i work for the state of florida and they have no problem with me vaping in the office!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm actually looking forward to staying in a hotel and not having to go outside for smoke breaks!

I remember a while back (it may have been quite a while back) someone got in trouble vaping in a hotel. I think they left their vape stuff laying around and a cleaning person reported them. the few times I've been to a hotel, I try to stay away from the smoke detector and I do not leave my stuff just laying around. although I get plenty of vapor for my tastes, I'm not one of the "big clouds" people

people just see vaping the same as smoking,,,,,,it's really too sad. And although I am not one of those who believe we should be able to vape anywhere at any time,,,,,,,I do think in our own hotel rooms and rental cars where we're not bothering anyone, it's ridiculous not to be able to.

Paramedic... I vaped 24/7 in the ambulance ( just not in the back with a patient ) now I am on an oil rig. I dont vape out on the rig floor, but in my clinic, room, ect...

Indiana's State law allows local governments to set their own policies that restrict further than state law. You would need to look up local ordinaces. As far as State law ...

(4) The area within eight (8) feet of a public entrance to:
(A) a public place; or
(B) a place of employment.
(b) An employer shall inform each of the employer's employees and prospective employees of the smoking prohibition applying to the place of employment.
(c) An owner, operator, manager, or official in charge of a public place or place of employment shall remove ashtrays or other smoking paraphernalia from areas of the public place or place of employment

where smoking is prohibited under this chapter. However, this subsection does not prohibit the display of ashtrays or other smoking paraphernalia that are intended only for retail sale.
(d) An owner, operator, manager, or official in charge of a public place or place of employment shall post conspicuous signs at each public entrance that read "State Law Prohibits Smoking Within 8 Feet of this Entrance" or other similar language.

These kids are crazy, I tell ya. I made them French Omelets with Bacon and French Toast for breakfast this morning - and they wanted Poptarts.

They started getting a little too curious about the juices, so I stopped talking about the flavors and just refer to them as "medicine"

My oldest (9) is such a sweetheart. Last week, I asked if she enjoyed that I don't smell horrible anymore and she genuinely didn't know what I was talking about. "Oh you mean the cigarettes? You didn't smell bad, but the cigarettes did, ya."

Some localities have regulations that do include electronic cigs. But unless you are in an area that has one, It's up to the employer.

Vaping at a desk for a couple years and sharing office with two others who don't vape/smoke.
Guess what - they never noticed vapor nor smell.

But I do DIY my e-juice and use only 1% flavoring at best (mostly Double RY4), but most of the time I do prefer unflavored.

I'll chime in with a 'doing it right now' too.. I work in a fairly large call center, no real cubicle, more of a staggered wall separating the row but people beside and behind me all day.. Another one of those I didn't ask, but I don't advertise people.. The lady in my life with her pregnant nose says she cannot smell anything of it from the other side of the couch.. I figure that means it's safe to do here so long as I don't let off any clouds.
