Can't update Alien 220W firmware.

I downloaded the new firmware for the alien but I can't install it. When I downloaded the upgrade tool, I get it connected and click APROM like it says, but it won't let me select a file to continue from there. I tried connecting it and downloading the firmware from the device, but it just says "updatting" for hours and never does anything.

Please explain what the problem was. USPS has mine scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

Was it the wrong file for the Alien 220W or something like that? Did the installer and the upgrade file have to be in the same directory? Sometimes, it's hard to decide which you need and easy to click on the wrong file.

Just guessing.
