I can smell eliquid and tell if it has Capella in it or if it has TFA in it. Yes, there's that much difference and the main reason I started DIY. I WANTED the best ingredients even if it cost me a few cents more. It's ended up not costing me more though since I don't ever have to dump any down the drain.

I've never put a vendor's banner in my signature and seldom have I even given a review of a supplier except for Capella. There's no reason for me to promote a company that offers me nothing in return so I have never done it. But I feel DIYers need to experience Capella and see the difference instead of being swayed because TFA is what the vendors sell and it's easy to order when you buy other ecig supplies. There's just no comparison and I want people to make good mixes and not feel dependent on suppliers' juice. My ONLY reason to "promote" Capella is because it's the best and I'm in this forum to help new DIYers.

I do see what you mean and it the same reason i like Capellas . It just works best and that why i try to let people know . I dont want to make anyone mad or anything it has just been a blessing for me in making good juice and the whole purpose of the forum is sharing what works for you and capellas have not let me down . It makes me happy when i make a good juice myself and if it could do the same for anybody else it for sure worth mentioning . In all the threads iv read in tons of hours reading i havent heard anyone say "damn i wish i never bought these capella flavorings "lol . Iv dumped a lot of juice in the beginning but almost never dump a juice with Capellas . In the few times i do its not because its bad ,its because it just wasnt for me .

You are also right that you can tell for the most part when a vendors not using capellas .Theres like a added rich thickness in taste with Capellas instead of what i think of as a thin tasting juice .Im not the best in explaining it but im sure you know what i mean gooddog .Like more vibrant .

Linda (TPA) is a very nice and honest person. She has the proper equipment to test molecules. She has tested PG for me. If she told me that it contains this or that, I would take her word on it 110%. I will not vape any custards from anybody.. My lungs are finally healing, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna screw them up again, over a flavor.

I guess I am going to have to break down and order some Capellas. How do these picks look? Not sure about the pie flavors...
I read somewhere that someone put a drop of Cinnamon Danish in a cup of coffee, thought that would be a neat thing to try also.
Cinnamon Danish Swirl
Cinnamon Coffee Cake
Apple Pie
Boston Cream Pie
Vanilla Custard

she didnt ever say she tested capellas as far as i know . Like you said though it people choice if they want to vape custard or not . I personally dont mind it and havent noticed any respiratory issue and i did have asthma when i was younger . Even with known safe flavors from any company we dont actually know if its safe for inhalation .

Great that you mentioned putting it in coffee . I cant have my morning coffee without my 3 drops of flavoring in it . I Love it . It makes a super good coffee . My favs to put in coffee are CDS ,crumb cake , Hazelnut , expresso ,toasted almond , coconut , caramel ,french vanilla . Iv tried them all . My two most favs are crumb cake and hazelnut though . It makes the coffee smell just like the real thing . crumb cake smells and tastes like you were dipping a coffee cake in your coffee . Its sooooooooo good . I dont think i can have just regular plain old coffee anymore . Remember 3 drops . 2 is too little and 4 is overpowering . Good choices on flavors . If only going with a few though CDS and crumb cake may be a little to similar for you since theres so many other great different flavors . Graham cracker is one i cant do without and vanilla cupcake is my all time favorite flavoring by any company . May want to do the cupcake over the custard . Vanilla cupcake is like vanilla custard with a little bit of a cakebatter/icing mixed in . Marshmallow is also another great specialty flavor . Im bad at giving you advice though since theres so many i love lol .

Mmmmm...coffee. I LOVE coffee. Well if I stink at making juice I can always use my flavor stash in my coffee. :D

Just Capellas that goes for . I tried putting a few TPA flavors in my coffee and it just ruined my coffee . Tpa sweet cream was the only one that wasnt undrinkable . The perfumness really came out in the coffee with the rest of the tpa flavors . The Capellas are a lot more rich and creamy without any perfumeness so it blends in the coffee like a flavored creamer .This really shows the major quality difference between tpa and capellas .

Capella klua and cream , ameretto and eggnog are also awesome in coffee . When people come over and have coffee i always make them try the cinnamon crumb cake coffee . Everybody Loved it . A couple of my friends actually went on capellas site and bought a bottle just for their coffee . They arnt even vapors . My mom is hooked on the toasted almond coffee .

I also use Capellas flavorings in baking . I make the greatest snickerdoodle cookies known to man with capellas flavorings (not my words). I add vanilla cupcake , marshmallow and caramel to the batter and it works soooooooooo good .Its unbelievable the difference it makes . You can smell the flavoring in the cookies and taste it . Try it sometime with the betty crocker snickerdoodle cookie mix . You will be making them all the time .4 drops vc 2 drops caramel and 4 drops marshmallow .

oooohhh i make a mean Pina colada daiquiri with capellas as well . I add some sweet strawberry and coconut flavoring and it comes out super good . My mom has been asking how to make it so good but i keep this one a secret .I call it my Pinaberry colada . Just 6 drops total and it really shines right through the pina colada .

I keep meaning to reply to this thread, and now it's become a treatise. LOL I broke down and got a 5 pack last week just so I could make Str8's strawberry cake recipe. I haven't had time to crack them open yet, bummed about it but I'm just too dang busy.

Does anyone know a good percentage for these as stand alone flavors? I bought some sweet tangerine hoping to mimic my favorite orange flavored juice, wasn't going to add anything to it except some tart&sour.

Thanks!

I like many of Capellas flavors too but I think that everyone should know that some of their flavors do contain diacetyl. They were tested by Kimerpuff at OSDIY last year and found to be in their flavorings. Some folks don't mind diacetyl but everyone should know what they are vaping. See post # 14 here
Can't say enough good things!!

Well I just emailed Tom regarding this. Until I see some actual documentation its all just hearsay. I dont think its wise to post stuff like this unless you have links to back it up. A post with someone saying they sent it to a lab and it came back positive isnt enough for me. Post the results of said lab results then. Im not trying to stir the pot or anything but I think we should be adults and actually look into this further in which I am.

Just got off the phone with Tom regarding this supposedly diacetyl in their vanilla custard.

Im going to link this document to prove there is no diacetyl in their flavoring at all. This was sent to me by Tom himself. This was done by a non biased third party lab and it is very expensive to have done.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1a5zHO0dlhn2AlvV96heNz2X-Y_dnESaEbV_cM13eUpw/edit?hl=en_US

there is a tolerance of .4%

There result is .4% which means NOT DETECTED !!!

I will update with more info when I get back to lunch but felt this really needed to be seen.

ToweKnee, thanks for getting us that information. I think it means more coming from you since you are unbiased than if it came form me. This is the type of thing that happened the last time me and others tried to tell members about Capella being the best. If it doesn't smack of a conspiracy I don't know what does!! I hope others see it for what it is and not reward this type of behavior in this industry!

Well there you go, sorry don't know a whole lot about posting links. You fanboys are amazing, garbage spews out of a few around here and I get called out for posting a bit of truth. No where have you seen me post a negitive comment regarding any flavor manufacture. I wasn't posting a negetive Cap. comment here just trying to get the right info out there. Have a great day.

I would point out that Linda has one of those big expensive machines that does spectrum analysis and one of her businesses is doing those analysis. I know she does testing of some nic. for others too with it.

As for the rest of the discussion, I'll stay on the sideline and watch.

I'm sure I don't want to speculate as to whys and whens.

Hoosier, Linda just recently got that machine. She didn't have it back when she was testing Capella's flavorings.

So, she was doing the test just looking for one substance per test? That is interesting. The google-doc looked like that type of test too, testing for one substance.

Too bad I didn't win the powerball. I always wanted to play with one of those machines.

Thanks GoodDog.
