I didn't realize it was over 100%. Obviously, it rounded the numbers, as percentages can go above and below 1.0.

Yes, it only takes a few people getting 1.6% or .7% or whatever for the votes to not equal 100. I'm sure the exact percentages could be worked out and made available but I for one can't imagine it would be worth the trouble. I have a great deal of faith that Webby has gone the extra mile to make this a success. :thumb:

I'm sure a few people didn't revote. You had to not pay any attention for almost a week to not realize what was going on. Not what I'd call an informed voter.

I for one did re-vote, and changed two of my votes based on what I felt were immature comments and petty bickering over the whole issue.

Let's put it behind us and get rolling! There will be plenty of work for anyone who has the time and wishes to volunteer.

Right but as popular as some of those people such as sun. You would have probably dropped a good 5-10% under 100%. That means that votes got rounded 9% up. Your average election has a margin of error of 2 or 3%, you have reached 9%, congratulations.
I was wrong. The people who stepped down weren't factored in. The 100% is based on just the numbers of those who stayed in the election.

Example:
30.8%
15.9%
28.8%
20%
3.9
.6
= 100%

Rounded
31%
16%
29%
20%
4%
1%
=
101%

If you do all of the math without rounding, it comes to 100%.
Divide the number of votes the person got by the total number of votes cast. You will get an exact percentage. If you add all the exact percentages together, it equals 100%. I recommend using the memory function on your calculator, as it makes it much easier to do the final sum.

LOL, then I guess I'm the math challenged one. 8-o

Well you know what they say about lawyers - no math skills.

Look, if you don't trust Webby, that's your opinion. 99% percent of everyone else does. He offered to allow monitors, but nominees and non nominees chimed in and suggested it was a bad idea for anyone to know the results, because it's impossible to keep a secret.

It's all on record.

If you really want to go there... just realize where it is you are going..

Congratulations (or my sympathies, whichever you prefer :D) to the elected members!

I read everyone's bios and read many posts on these forums by each candidate. I think that the elected board is a powerhouse and an excellent group to represent us all. Now they're heading for the hard work. I hope that everyone here, both non-elected nominees and other members, will support this board whole-heartedly and assist them where possible.

haha man im sorry this is all just a bit "lair" from that role models movie...

It just seems like a bunch of adults playing a live action RPG or something. What really made it seem 'hokey' to me was the fact that the 'nomiations' were listed as their forum monikers and not their real names. Way to look serious with candidates names things like "tropical bob" or "sun vaporer" or "niterider" or dare I say "moobyghost"? I mean seriously, which one of you have the most HP and gold so I know which one to vote for? this whole "election" looks like some serious WOW nerds in here. IMHO nominations should have been done with Real Names and included the forum name as sub-header so normal forum users know who is who still.

I'm not saying that this idea BS or hokey or anything like that. I love what you guys are trying to accomplish here. I just feel that a certain level of professionalism should have been maintained and it wasn't. Not by a far cry.

Here's a video, I found it searching for an apropriate 'role models' clip, couldnt find one so this will have to do. It exemplifies what this 'election' looked like from my point of view.

Not trying to hate, or flame, I'm just sayin....

You guys want to argue this now?

People changed their vote. Territoo, nitewriter & Yvilla moved up a LOT in the poll. I don't think that people realized the first time that there was a doctor, PR expert and a lawyer at their disposal. Obviously they thought they'd be a better fit for the board and voted for them instead.

Any conspiracy theories are horse crap and no one has any "inside scoop." So, go wherever you want and talk about it to get the "inside story." You'll be getting smoke blown up your a**.

Ooooh, kristin! I haven't seen this side of you before. I am happier than ever that you are on the board!!!

All you folks should know that no nominees asked to run, they were recommended at least 25 or more times by ECF members just like you! I didn't even know I was nominated until I recieved an email asking would I serve if elected. I accepted and we all posted bios and statements with our REAL NAMES before the election took place, right here in public view, and all our posts are easily viewed by any ECF member. No one is getting paid for this, and it is a daunting task ahead for us folks that are on the board, and for the vaping community in whole. There is nothing to gain other than alot of work in what would be our play time, no one is getting compensated except for the pleasure of trying to help our vaping community, which is in real danger. Rather than all the drama, why don't everyone come together and move forward. If you go back and read through the many posts all you people crying foul play will see that many of the members that were very active with ideas and conversations did not even get elected. Now someone really show me the fraud here! This is just a voting board of direction, there is much work to be done by everyone in the community as a whole. Now let's all move on and get to work!

^^^ I know I'm just saying, from over here, what it kinda looked like. I'm guess something thats largely internet based just cant help but come off 'nerdy' - And again I'm not flaming, I'm king nerd most times. I just think it really looked the way I described and all this "fixed voting" talk and flaming going on is making it even worse... Meh.
