Hey Casey/Steve,

I've been trying to contact you recently on a new Prodigy V2 issue. My adapter connecting pin had issues and I followed the steps to correct the issue. I lightly tapped the copper connecting pin and after one hit it started working. Later however, I was taking off the tip of my atomizer and the copper connecting pin of the adapter completely slid off the adapter. Now I have to use 2 hands to get the thing to work and it take a lot of jiggling to find the right connection. Can I get a longer pin replacement? I run the risk of losing the copper connection piece because I am switching between the 510 and 801 adapter. My ticket number is listed in the thread name. If you have suggestions on fixing the adapter I already have, I'm willing to take them. Thanks, I understand things are probably hectic.

I am having a problem with the 510 also. seems like the center post is not quite long enough to make contact with the switch contact. I can get it to work but have to adjust every few hits.. hope i can get a new 510 cap without having to send this one back first.

seriously...mine totally works with some clever pushing while use (using 2 hands). I would hate to lose the ability to use it completely in order to get a replacement. SOMEONE HELLLPPPPP!

Are we talking about the same thing here? There are two issues I'm aware of:

1) The center post in the brass part of the adapter doesn't come up enough to contact the end of the atomizer. This is being fixed by some by tapping the post out further. In my case the problem seems to have been related to the fact that some atomizers won't thread into the adapter far enough to make contact with the post in its default position.

2) The entire brass element (not just the center post, but the whole brass assembly) is disconnected from the steel adapter cap. I have this issue as well. The brass element isn't bonded to the cap. It spins inside the housing and will fall out if I take the cap off.

So, we should probably be tracking which one of the issues each person is having or if they're having both. I'm having both.

Hey Guys,

I'm so sorry it's taking so long to get back to you all. I'm currently combing through a few hundred tickets to try and find all the adapter replacements to get them out today. I haven't had a spare second to check tickets since Friday morning, thus the delay. I really do apologize, but I'm getting them all taken care of, I promise. Replacements will be heading out, and you'll all be hearing from me by the end of the day tomorrow.

I think most of us here completely understand. Thanks Casey.

Yes, there's no doubt that you'll resolve the issue, Casey.

But I also do think that we should try and get to the bottom of the issues that people are seeing. It's not just a question of replacing defective units. It's a matter of figuring out how wide spread it is and what the specific issues are so that PS can track down the source of the problem rather than just treating the symptoms.

Replacements headed out now- should have them within about 7 business days (USPS First Class Mail). Thanks for hanging with us guys- it's just taking a few days for us to get ourselves sorted out. I'll be taking care of the tickets likely tomorrow- still have juice to inventory, V2's to ship, etc etc etc. I promise we're doing everything we can to catch up!

What about the issue of the entire brass element in the adapter not being bonded to the cap? That's the main problem with mine.

Hey Surf -- Its not supposed to be *bonded* bud. The center post is what bulges the outside brass out, thus sticking in place of the SS. SS anything is extremely hard, and not as soft as aluminum. Press fitting brass in SS would beat the crap outta it. We used to press fit the aluminum, and the aluminum would take the brunt of it, and you wouldn't see the damage on the brass.

If that center post comes out - the outside brass is likely to follow suit.

So, I'm confused. I think the terminology is unclear to me. There's the center post that touches the atomizer. Then there's the entire brass assembly that sits inside the stainless cap. What you're saying is that the pressure of the center post is what causes the enclosing brass element (the part with the screw threads) to expand and hold the element inside the stainless cap? In that case, why was mine separated when the center post was firmly in place when I got it? Shouldn't it only have come loose if the center post was removed?
