First full day with the Vector.

Simple initial build - dual 26g, 2mm ID, netting .4ohms. Highlights...

* Curiously muted (flavour and vapor) with the screen in. Took it out and it's a whole different atty (and better, IMHO).

* I'm getting this thing to rock in terms of flavour, and I suck at flavour (the tasting, not the building for it). Magic mix of wire, coil positioning, air, and joose, I suppose (the Lord loves a fool).

* I run her wide open (all 8 holes) and I'm not getting unwanted heat to speak of. Definitely a vape style thing, there - I like short, intense hits with plenty of time to cool down between.

Maybe I just won the lottery with this build (and my vaping characteristics line up well with it), but it's kicking my Rogue's derrière, with Derringer-like flavour. I was apprehensive after reading some of the reports, but colour me pleasantly surprised (which, of course, is a shade of blue - the best colour, as we all know).

Papa_....thanks for the info...not having much luck with the Vector.. I need to try different builds naturally.

Wasn't good at building coils being fairly new at vaping, received a coil-master kit today, good Lord, what a gadget...manufactures coils like a Rembrandt.............:thumb:

I'll get it to Rock if it kills me........:w00t:

Btw: 20 Manta2s and 40 nectars are funded and on the way. This will probably be my last run of Mantas. The nectars I will do again because they are in very high demand. The Facebook list will go up shortly, a few of you are already on it. Distortoblotto and one other person that I can't remember but my list runner has all of your info. I would strongly suggest the micro over the nano. With the micro you can see your squonk level. The chamber, deck and top cap are the same the difference is 3mm of juice well. I had my choice of both, I chose the micro.

Err, um...I haven't signed up for a Nectar but I am on the list for a second authentic Manta..;)

think I may have to trade my vector for someones unwanted derringer.cant get the vapor im used to with my derringer.havent got the nichrome80 wire and buying wire for 1 atty that's not doin what I like seems like a bunch to do since the kanthal has been working for a year now.stumped....hmmm maybe stumpy will fix it!!ha ha

I love those Derringers too @rudedog, (flavor and fog machines) have three more on the way from Catfish.....:)

Hopefully the Stumpy and Manta's will be in the same caliber as the Derringers (flavor-wise).

I'm not giving up on the Vector quite yet...ordered a bunch of various wire the other day, hopefully one of them will make this Vector pop.

On average I sleep 10 hours or less per week so every extra minute counts.

Aw yes, I remember the days when I used to say sleep was over rated. Trust me when I say that this will catch up to you one day young man.......;)

Indeed it will as age progresses...hopefully Tom can get a website built and eliminate a LOT of face time he could be sleeping instead of answering posts here and everywhere else...its tough...no doubt.

Catfish prolly feels like a robot at times.

When i 1st started working night shift 20 years ago i did the same thing worked 80 hours a week (3 kids) coached soccer and basketball i rarely ever slept at home maybe an hour an a half a day (could catch a 2 hour nap at work ) now if i dont get 4 hours minimum im worthless and it takes a few days to get back to normal. Our midnight moto was i will get plenty of sleep when im dead well if you continue on that sleep you will get there sooner rather than later.

Work rotating 12's myself. In fact, I'm on the night shift right now. 6pm to 6am. Days are 6am to 6pm. Used to work the shifts and run a second business of my own as well. Sold it for a tidy profit when it got to be too much. If I were to try and do that now, you may as well start tossing the dirt over me. At least I'm at the point where I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I'm pretty sure it's not an oncoming train...:?:

My plan is to retire and play with my toys. Kind of like reverting back to my childhood only with better stuff to play with...:)

I'm having about the same experience with the Vector, I'm getting pretty good flavor with 4 holes open. I've been really enjoying it so far.

The bad thing for me is I started at my job when i was pretty young i have 20 years in now and almost another 20 to go to qualify for 100% retirement benefits (union worker) but i most likely won't go that long and take early at 80% but 5 years earlier so i can play too.

By the way...if anyone wants to make picture perfect coils, you can't beat the Coil Master...incredible. Can't believe I waited this long to buy the kit....enough with the drill bits screwdrivers, etc, etc....

Told you inspects I'm sure there are other devices as good or maybe better but the coil master really does make perfect coils super easy for a relatively low cost device, it's all I've been using for months now [emoji106]

Figured I'd chime in... I was struggling a bit with the Vector too. Step 1: I removed the screen. That was an improvement but it was still lacking something.
I tried several different builds...they all went a little better than the first. Tiger wire worked pretty good (.8 ribbon twisted with .26ga)

Then I built .24 ga spaced coils. 7 wraps on a 2mm. Works great.Excellent flavor and it's a fog machine. Some times the simplest things work the best. BUT, Reo users might want to keep their white erasers and Deoxit handy.

Yes everything that was able to be shipped shipped yesterday, there are several orders on hold waiting for combined shipping by the recipients request. All of the Derringers shipped yesterday (Monday) and are slated for delivery Wednesday or Thursday.

As to the tracking info: I rarely send tracking info. I'm shipping over 100 attys a week most weeks between here, Facebook and random emails. To send tracking for that many orders would take 8 hours or more. That's 8 hours I could be spending with my son, prototyping or even sleeping. On average I sleep 10 hours or less per week so every extra minute counts.

Understood. and as far as sleep, hey, we have meds for that :w00t:

Tom, with the high volume of your mailings you need to automate.I'm pretty sure you can set up Paypal to automatically send out notifications to customers.
Without you doing anything, Paypal can print out mailing labels and notify customers that their package has shipped, and give tracking info.

O r the customer can set up an account with USPS, Ithink it's called myUSPS and track his packages. For example, this is what my "dashboard" looks like this morning:

Are we doing a Nectar list over here? or is there one and I missed it?

I didn't see any lists on Tom's FB group. Just some old coop lists for the nano Nectar but nothing yet for the Micro. I think Tom is going to post a list here for the Micro Nectar. Give him some time. He's probably sleeping again!
