Good to know, thanks!

I ordered 2 of them last week and received them. I'm personally not impressed with them. The power source is 2 tiny watch batteries. I also have one of the cheaper version from the same company and that one is not as pretty but works better and run on AA batteries. If you are buying one I reccomend the cheaper of the 2. The one in your picture doesn't have a screw to hold the back/bottom on, just tiny magnets. Feels very cheap and will separate if you pick it up too fast. I'm hoping the new one from your link will be better, looks industrial grade. We'll see.

You have a connection issue. Where are you getting your readings from first off? What device are you actually using it on?
I didn't modify or even take apart the hornets. I ordered them bottom fed from the factory. It sounds to me like one of 2 issues:
1. The atty isn't making a good connection in the 510 due to the 510 of the device being worn out(stretched) very common on the Reo.
2. Your coil is broken at the terminals but still touching the terminal. (I actually did that on one of my Stumpys yesterday).
The atty is brand new and cute as all get out. Looks like a beehive! I don't question its quality, just my own skill set.

To answer your questions, I used an ohm reader gizmo and then I confirmed on a VW device before popping it on the Reo. I think a leg wasnt caught properly. It felt loose even when I turned and turned the hex. Thought I caught it because I was able to twist off the excess - guess not. The second time I did it, I secured that post first and the reading - before I had to leave for an appt - was too high (my fault again) but it didn't jump up like the first build did. And, I'm using it on my Reo.

I'm not sure if you folks realize but we have a genuine artist among us! This artist has been known dress up like friends and relatives as well and post nutty videos about them... Any ideas? Said fellow is an upstanding member of our society and I hear sexually active in the community.... Ladies and gentlemen give him a round of applause.....

Cool - hope it's a winner. It LOOKS designed well...
Me, I'm still debating whether cough up for one of these, when my $12 chinese ohmbox still works.
(correction, I checked: $10.11)

It was well worth it to me.
I ripped the 510 out of my Chinese one the other day trying to get the tank off an Erl.
Good riddance!

On a tangential note, I'm encouraged by the fact that dozens upon dozens of fairly high dollar authentic attys are flying out the door as fast as Tom can mod them and ship them. Just goes to show folks are willing to pay for the "real deal" and further reinforces for Tom that he doesn't have to deal with sub-standard quality clones any longer. This isn't meant to be a knock on clones or their buyers, simply an observation that a substantial market exists to support modded high quality authentics.

I've personally purchased nine authentics from Tom - four Derringers, a REMatty, Vector, and now three Stumpys. And, I'm not even one of the real players in this thread. There are folks in here who spend many hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars for these awesome attys.

Ditto... as far as my wife knows, all my gear is sent to me for reviews. She just assumed that and I failed to correct her assumption. :glare:

I do get a lot of free stuff so it's a reasonably valid assumption.

So modest.... Yes you are a real player! You brought us the Lancia and a few others. I wanted no parts of the Lancia but you made it happen. You certainly didn't hinder Derringer sales either.
