I wasn't breaking your stones. Yes, the USB power is not much when it's shared by 3 cells. That I agree with completely.

I apologize for changing the subject but is it just me or is the manta a really loud atty? I've tried positioning it differently but its just really a loud atty for me. Is this true for anyone else?

I don't find it that loud , you do get some air sound due to the smallish air holes.
Currently have a dual coil 0.26Ω build in it on the reo mech and just get a lowish sound of the air coming in.

Great effort Tom, does look bigger in the picture but those dimensions quoted will easily fit in hand. Anodised finish ticks the box big time, more rounded corners I agree would make it feel better in hand but definitely looks like a winner, the dark grey, yes please [emoji6]

Yes the mod in pics does look big , though so do attys when you see in pics and videos compared to in person.

I don't find the Manta V2 noisy at all, actually just the opposite. Perhaps the airflow adjustment is out of whack?

The battery will come with it. I'm not sure if I will make the battery removable. Hard wired would leave more room for fast charging options.

i do lot of rc hobbies and use lipo battery's the only problem with lipos are they die after continually charging them, wouldn't hard wiring be a problem after the battery dies ?

That's an e8... The E8 is the same width and thickness as a Reo grand about an inch taller. The e7 would be very close in size to the Cam-R v2; within a half inch in width and the same thickness.

It takes me less time to solder a new battery in than it would take you to change the battery with plugs. I am looking into a hard pack solution that would make changing cells simple but it would make the body bigger. Everything is a trade off. I could put the squonk bottle on the bottom and just make the device taller and smaller. It would squonk weird but you would get used to it in a few minutes. I will try to blueprint that today. Nothing is off the table on this one.

I don't consider them loud, actually one of the quiter attys I've got. I wonder if your top cap is on properly...before I swapped o rings, sometimes it would be caught somewhat lopsided and I think it was louder then

Is it a V1 or V2? I have both. I find that the V2 isn't noisy at all. The V1 is a bit more so.

I haven't come up with a complete marketing strategy to that regard yet. My primary focus is to get the prototypes done in a form factor that can be repeated and is widely accepted. Once I settle on a battery and a prototype we can go from there. I'm demo'ing the v2 currently and agree it needs to be more rounded. It fits in a shirt pocket but not by a lot.
